Calf marketing, commercial beef carcass, and natural/implant-free beef strategic alliances were examined via case study to determine alliance structure and whether each addressed risk, transaction costs, capital availability, and other concerns. All alliances were structured differently through vertical or horizontal coordination, and each had been established within the past 12 years. Alliance administrators reported that an advantage to cow-calf producers was higher cattle prices received relative to producers outside the alliances. The alliances reduced transaction costs and increased information flow among segments. Achievable efficiencies for probabilistically cloning the states
We present an example of quantum computational tasks whose performance is
enhanced if we distribute quantum information using quantum cloning.
Furthermore we give achievable efficiencies for probabilistic cloning the
quantum states used in implemented tasks for which cloning provides some

SGLD-Based Information Criteria and the Over-Parameterized Regime
Double-descent refers to the unexpected drop in test loss of a learning
algorithm beyond an interpolating threshold with over-parameterization, which
is not predicted by information criteria in their classical forms due to the
limitations in the standard asymptotic approach. We update these analyses using
the information risk minimization framework and provide Akaike Information
Criterion (AIC) and Bayesian Information Criterion (BIC) for models learned by
stochastic gradient Langevin dynamics (SGLD). Notably, the AIC and BIC penalty
terms for SGLD correspond to specific information measures, i.e., symmetrized
KL information and KL divergence. We extend this information-theoretic analysis
to over-parameterized models by characterizing the SGLD-based BIC for the
random feature model in the regime where the number of parameters and the
number of samples tend to infinity, with fixed. Our experiments
demonstrate that the refined SGLD-based BIC can track the double-descent curve,
providing meaningful guidance for model selection and revealing new insights
into the behavior of SGLD learning algorithms in the over-parameterized regime

Keratin 6a marks mammary bipotential progenitor cells that can give rise to a unique tumor model resembling human normal-like breast cancer.
Progenitor cells are considered an important cell of origin of human malignancies. However, there has not been any single gene that can define mammary bipotential progenitor cells, and as such it has not been possible to use genetic methods to introduce oncogenic alterations into these cells in vivo to study tumorigenesis from them. Keratin 6a is expressed in a subset of mammary luminal epithelial cells and body cells of terminal end buds. By generating transgenic mice using the Keratin 6a (K6a) gene promoter to express tumor virus A (tva), which encodes the receptor for avian leukosis virus subgroup A (ALV/A), we provide direct evidence that K6a(+) cells are bipotential progenitor cells, and the first demonstration of a non-basal location for some biopotential progenitor cells. These K6a(+) cells were readily induced to form mammary tumors by intraductal injection of RCAS (an ALV/A-derived vector) carrying the gene encoding the polyoma middle T antigen. Tumors in this K6a-tva line were papillary and resembled the normal breast-like subtype of human breast cancer. This is the first model of this subtype of human tumors and thus may be useful for preclinical testing of targeted therapy for patients with normal-like breast cancer. These observations also provide direct in vivo evidence for the hypothesis that the cell of origin affects mammary tumor phenotypes
