Level IV fugacity model by a continuous time control system.

A continuos time dynamic control system of the "Level IV Fugacity Model" is presented and applied to selected organic chemicals in evaluative environments system. In order to illustrate the numerical solution by this model a discretization is used to calculate the fugacity, concentration and fugacity settling time for a set of three insecticides applied in a hypothetical three compartmental environmental system. The model employs the fugacity concept and treats three bulk compartments: air, water and bottom sediment. Input to the model consists of a description of the environmental, the physical-chemical and reaction properties of the chemical, and emission rates. Expressions in matrix form are included for emissions, advections, reactions, and inter-phase transference. An algorithm to determine the values of the fugacities, concentrations and fugacity settling time is given

Growth and optical properties of GaN/AlN quantum wells

We demonstrate the growth of GaN/AlN quantum well structures by plasma-assisted molecular-beam epitaxy by taking advantage of the surfactant effect of Ga. The GaN/AlN quantum wells show photoluminescence emission with photon energies in the range between 4.2 and 2.3 eV for well widths between 0.7 and 2.6 nm, respectively. An internal electric field strength of 9.2±1.09.2\pm 1.0 MV/cm is deduced from the dependence of the emission energy on the well width.Comment: Submitted to AP

Unsteady state fugacity model by a dynamic control system.

    Get PDF
A continuous time dynamic system of an unsteady state fugacity model is presented. Properties of this model as stability are studied. In order to evaluate numerical results a discretization preserving the stability and yielding the positivity property of the model is used. Finally, algorithms to determine the values of the fugacities, the concentrations and the dissipation time are given. The above study is illustrated with numerical results in a theree compartmental environmental system

Symmetry of matrix-valued stochastic processes and noncolliding diffusion particle systems

As an extension of the theory of Dyson's Brownian motion models for the standard Gaussian random-matrix ensembles, we report a systematic study of hermitian matrix-valued processes and their eigenvalue processes associated with the chiral and nonstandard random-matrix ensembles. In addition to the noncolliding Brownian motions, we introduce a one-parameter family of temporally homogeneous noncolliding systems of the Bessel processes and a two-parameter family of temporally inhomogeneous noncolliding systems of Yor's generalized meanders and show that all of the ten classes of eigenvalue statistics in the Altland-Zirnbauer classification are realized as particle distributions in the special cases of these diffusion particle systems. As a corollary of each equivalence in distribution of a temporally inhomogeneous eigenvalue process and a noncolliding diffusion process, a stochastic-calculus proof of a version of the Harish-Chandra (Itzykson-Zuber) formula of integral over unitary group is established.Comment: LaTeX, 27 pages, 4 figures, v3: Minor corrections made for publication in J. We use mathematically rigorous perturbation theory to study the transition between the Mott insulator and the conjectured Bose-Einstein condensate in a hard-core Bose-Hubbard model. The critical line is established to lowest order in the tunneling amplitude.Comment: 20 page

Large Deviations in Weakly Interacting Fermions - Generating Functions as Gaussian Berezin Integrals and Bounds on Large Pfaffians

    Get PDF
We prove that the G\"{a}rtner--Ellis generating function of probability distributions associated with KMS states of weakly interacting fermions on the lattice can be written as the limit of logarithms of Gaussian Berezin integrals. The covariances of the Gaussian integrals are shown to have a uniform Pfaffian bound and to be summable in general cases of interest, including systems that are \emph{not} translation invariant. The Berezin integral representation can thus be used to obtain convergent expansions of the generating function in terms of powers of its parameter. The derivation and analysis of the expansions of logarithms of Berezin integrals are the subject of the second part of the present work. Such technical results are also useful, for instance, in the context of quantum information theory, in the computation of relative entropy densities associated with fermionic Gibbs states, and in the theory of quantum normal fluctuations for weakly interacting fermion systems.FAPESP (2017/22340-9) CNPq (309723/2020-5) by the Basque Government through the grant IT641-13 MTM2017-82160-C2-2-P
