Segurança Na Mudança Direta De Natalizumabe Para Fingolimode Em Um Grupo De Pacientes Com Esclerose Múltipla E Positivos Para Jcv
To assess safety of the switch between natalizumab and fingolimod without a washout period. Methods: Prospective data on 25 JCV positive patients who underwent this medication switch were collected and analyzed. Results: After a median period of nine months from the medication switch, there were no safety issues to report. The patients had good disease control and no adverse events were reported. Conclusion: Washout may not be necessary in daily practice when switching from natalizumab to fingolimod. Periodic orbit resonances in layered metals in tilted magnetic fields
The frequency dependence of the interlayer conductivity of a layered Fermi
liquid in a magnetic field which is tilted away from the normal to the layers
is considered. For both quasi-one- and quasi-two-dimensional systems resonances
occur when the frequency is a harmonic of the frequency at which the magnetic
field causes the electrons to oscillate on the Fermi surface within the layers.
The intensity of the different harmonic resonances varies significantly with
the direction of the field. The resonances occur for both coherent and weakly
incoherent interlayer transport and so their observation does not imply the

Magnetothemopower study of quasi two-dimensional organic conductor -(BEDT-TTF)KHg(SCN)
We have used a low-frequency magneto-thermopower (MTEP) method to probe the
high magnetic field ground state behavior of
-(BEDT-TTF)KHg(SCN) along all three principal crystallographic
axes at low temperatures. The thermopower tensor coefficients (
and ) have been measured to 30 T, beyond the anomalous low temperature,
field-induced transition at 22.5 T. We find a significant anisotropy in the
MTEP signal, and also observe large quantum oscillations associated with the de
Haas - van Alphen effect. The anisotropy indicates that the ground state
properties are clearly driven by mechanisms that occur along specific
directions for the in-plane electronic structure. Both transverse and
longitudinal magnetothermopower show asymptotic behavior in field, which can be
explained in terms of magnetic breakdown of compensated closed orbits.Comment: 9 pages, 10 figure
Signatures of the slow solar wind streams from active regions in the inner corona
Some of local sources of the slow solar wind can be associated with
spectroscopically detected plasma outflows at edges of active regions
accompanied with specific signatures in the inner corona. The EUV telescopes
(e.g. SPIRIT/CORONAS-F, TESIS/CORONAS-Photon and SWAP/PROBA2) sometimes
observed extended ray-like structures seen at the limb above active regions in
1MK iron emission lines and described as "coronal rays". To verify the
relationship between coronal rays and plasma outflows, we analyze an isolated
active region (AR) adjacent to small coronal hole (CH) observed by different
EUV instruments in the end of July - beginning of August 2009. On August 1 EIS
revealed in the AR two compact outflows with the Doppler velocities V =10-30
km/s accompanied with fan loops diverging from their regions. At the limb the
ARCH interface region produced coronal rays observed by EUVI/STEREO-A on July
31 as well as by TESIS on August 7. The rays were co-aligned with open magnetic
field lines expanded to the streamer stalks. Using the DEM analysis, it was
found that the fan loops diverged from the outflow regions had the dominant
temperature of ~1 MK, which is similar to that of the outgoing plasma streams.
Parameters of the solar wind measured by STEREO-B, ACE, WIND, STEREO-A were
conformed with identification of the ARCH as a source region at the
Wang-Sheeley-Arge map of derived coronal holes for CR 2086. The results of the
study support the suggestion that coronal rays can represent signatures of
outflows from ARs propagating in the inner corona along open field lines into

Functional Anatomy of the Female Pelvic Floor
The anatomic structures in the female that prevent incontinence and genital organ prolapse on increases in abdominal pressure during daily activities include sphincteric and supportive systems. In the urethra, the action of the vesical neck and urethral sphincteric mechanisms maintains urethral closure pressure above bladder pressure. Decreases in the number of striated muscle fibers of the sphincter occur with age and parity. A supportive hammock under the urethra and vesical neck provides a firm backstop against which the urethra is compressed during increases in abdominal pressure to maintain urethral closure pressures above the rapidly increasing bladder pressure. This supporting layer consists of the anterior vaginal wall and the connective tissue that attaches it to the pelvic bones through the pubovaginal portion of the levator ani muscle, and the uterosacral and cardinal ligaments comprising the tendinous arch of the pelvic fascia. At rest the levator ani maintains closure of the urogenital hiatus. They are additionally recruited to maintain hiatal closure in the face of inertial loads related to visceral accelerations as well as abdominal pressurization in daily activities involving recruitment of the abdominal wall musculature and diaphragm. Vaginal birth is associated with an increased risk of levator ani defects, as well as genital organ prolapse and urinary incontinence. Computer models indicate that vaginal birth places the levator ani under tissue stretch ratios of up to 3.3 and the pudendal nerve under strains of up to 33%, respectively. Differential cross section and recoil polarization measurements for the gamma p to K+ Lambda reaction using CLAS at Jefferson Lab
We present measurements of the differential cross section and Lambda recoil
polarization for the gamma p to K+ Lambda reaction made using the CLAS detector
at Jefferson Lab. These measurements cover the center-of-mass energy range from
1.62 to 2.84 GeV and a wide range of center-of-mass K+ production angles.
Independent analyses were performed using the K+ p pi- and K+ p (missing pi -)
final-state topologies; results from these analyses were found to exhibit good
agreement. These differential cross section measurements show excellent
agreement with previous CLAS and LEPS results and offer increased precision and
a 300 MeV increase in energy coverage. The recoil polarization data agree well
with previous results and offer a large increase in precision and a 500 MeV
extension in energy range. The increased center-of-mass energy range that these
data represent will allow for independent study of non-resonant K+ Lambda
photoproduction mechanisms at all production angles.Comment: 22 pages, 16 figure
Tensor Correlations Measured in 3He(e,e'pp)n
We have measured the 3He(e,e'pp)n reaction at an incident energy of 4.7 GeV
over a wide kinematic range. We identified spectator correlated pp and pn
nucleon pairs using kinematic cuts and measured their relative and total
momentum distributions. This is the first measurement of the ratio of pp to pn
pairs as a function of pair total momentum, . For pair relative
momenta between 0.3 and 0.5 GeV/c, the ratio is very small at low and
rises to approximately 0.5 at large . This shows the dominance of
tensor over central correlations at this relative momentum.Comment: 4 pages, 4 figures, submitted to PR
Deep exclusive electroproduction off the proton at CLAS
The exclusive electroproduction of above the resonance region was
studied using the Large Acceptance Spectrometer () at
Jefferson Laboratory by scattering a 6 GeV continuous electron beam off a
hydrogen target. The large acceptance and good resolution of ,
together with the high luminosity, allowed us to measure the cross section for
the process in 140 (, , ) bins:
, 1.6 GeV GeV and 0.1 GeV
GeV. For most bins, the statistical accuracy is on the order of a few
percent. Differential cross sections are compared to two theoretical models,
based either on hadronic (Regge phenomenology) or on partonic (handbag diagram)
degrees of freedom. Both can describe the gross features of the data reasonably
well, but differ strongly in their ingredients. If the handbag approach can be
validated in this kinematical region, our data contain the interesting
potential to experimentally access transversity Generalized Parton

Measurement of the nuclear multiplicity ratio for hadronization at CLAS
The influence of cold nuclear matter on lepto-production of hadrons in
semi-inclusive deep inelastic scattering is measured using the CLAS detector in
Hall B at Jefferson Lab and a 5.014 GeV electron beam. We report the
multiplicity ratios for targets of C, Fe, and Pb relative to deuterium as a
function of the fractional virtual photon energy transferred to the
and the transverse momentum squared of the . We find that the
multiplicity ratios for are reduced in the nuclear medium at high
and low , with a trend for the transverse momentum to be
broadened in the nucleus for large .Comment: Submitted to Phys. Lett.
Coherent Photoproduction of pi^+ from 3^He
We have measured the differential cross section for the
He reaction. This reaction was studied using
the CEBAF Large Acceptance Spectrometer (CLAS) at Jefferson Lab. Real photons
produced with the Hall-B bremsstrahlung tagging system in the energy range from
0.50 to 1.55 GeV were incident on a cryogenic liquid He target. The
differential cross sections for the He
reaction were measured as a function of photon-beam energy and pion-scattering
angle. Theoretical predictions to date cannot explain the large cross sections
except at backward angles, showing that additional components must be added to
