The Constraints on CP Violating Phases in models with a dynamical gluino phase
We have analyzed the electric dipole moment and the Higgs mass constraints on
the supersymmetric model which offers dynamical solutions to the \mu and strong
CP problems. The trilinear coupling phases, and \tan\beta-|\mu| are strongly
correlated, particularly in the low-\tan\beta regime. Certain values of the
phases of the trilinear couplings are forbidden, whereas the CP violating phase
from the chargino sector is imprisoned to lie near a CP conserving point, by
the Higgs mass and electric dipole moment constraints.Comment: 19 pages, 11 eps fig
The CP properties of the lightest Higgs boson with sbottom effects
In the framework of the recently proposed gluino-axion model, using the
effective potential method and taking into account the top-stop as well as the
bottom-sbottom effects, we discuss the CP--properties of the lightest Higgs
boson, in particular its CP--odd composition, which can offer new opportunities
at collider searches. It is found that although the CP-odd composition of the
lightest Higgs increases slightly with the inclusion of the sbottom effects, it
never exceeds %0.17 for all values of the renormalization scale Q ranging from
top mass to TeV scaleComment: 24 pp, 12 eps fig
Evanescent incompressible strips as origin of the observed Hall resistance overshoot
In this work we provide a systematic explanation to the unusual non-monotonic
behavior of the Hall resistance observed at two-dimensional electron systems.
We use a semi-analytical model based on the interaction theory of the integer
quantized Hall effect to investigate the existence of the anomalous, \emph{i.e}
overshoot, Hall resistance . The observation of the overshoot resistance
at low magnetic field edge of the plateaus is elucidated by means of
overlapping evanescent incompressible strips, formed due to strong magnetic
fields and interactions. Utilizing a self-consistent numerical scheme we also
show that, if the magnetic field is decreased the decreases to its
expected value. The effects of the sample width, temperature, disorder strength
and magnetic field on the overshoot peaks are investigated in detail. Based on
our findings, we predict a controllable procedure to manipulate the maxima of
the peaks, which can be tested experimentally. Our model does not depend on
specific and intrinsic properties of the material, provided that a single

Pre-service Chemistry Teachers’ Expectations and Experiences in the School Experience Course
The purpose of this study is to investigate prospective chemistry teachers’ expectations and experiences of teaching practice. Six (four females and two males) pre-service chemistry teachers taking a School Experience II course participated in the study. A case study design was employed. The data were collected from multiple sources including observations, lesson plans, and semi-structured interviews before and after the school experience course. Pre-service teachers’ expectations and experiences were categorized regarding the faculty, placement school, and teaching practice. It was found that school experience courses are crucial for pre-service teachers in deciding whether to continue in the teaching profession. It is also concluded that the harmony between pre-service teachers’ expectations of and experiences in the school experience course had an influence on their opinions related to the teaching profession
The Higgs masses and explicit CP violation in the gluino-axion model
In this work, we adress the phenomenological consequences of explicit CP
violation on direct Higgs-boson searches at high energy colliders. Having a
restricted parameter space, we concentrate on the recently proposed
gluino-axion model, and investigate the CP violation capability of the model
subject to the recent experimental data. It is shown that the Higgs masses as
well as their CP compositions are quite sensitive to the supersymmetric CP
phases. The lightest Higgs is found to be nearly CP even to a good
approximation whilst the remaining two heavy scalars do not have definite CP

The Topological Unitarity Identities in Chern-Simons Theories
Starting from the generating functional of the theory of relativistic spinors
in 2+1 dimensions interacting through the pure Chern-Simons gauge field, the
S-matrix is constructed and seen to be formally the same as that of spinor
quantum electrodynamics in 2+1 dimensions with Feynman diagrams having external
photon lines excluded, and with the propagator of the topological Chern-Simons
photon substituted for the Maxwell photon propagator. It is shown that the
absence of real topological photons in the complete set of vector states of the
total Hilbert space leads in a given order of perturbation theory to
topological unitarity identities that demand the vanishing of the
gauge-invariant sum of the imaginary parts of Feynman diagrams with a given
number of internal on-shell free topological photon lines. It is also shown,
that these identities can be derived outside the framework of perturbation
theory. The identities are verified explicitly for the scattering of a

Clinical and Demographic Characteristics and Two-Year Efficacy and Safety Data of 508 Multiple Sclerosis Patients with Fingolimod Treatment
Introduction: Fingolimod is the first oral immunomodulatory treatment used as secondary care therapy in the treatment of multiple sclerosis for the last 10 years. The objective of our study is to reveal the experiences of the first generic fingolimod active ingredient treatment in different centers across Turkey. Method: The first generic fingolimod efficacy and safety data of patients followed-up in 29 different clinical multiple sclerosis units in Turkey were analyzed retrospectively. Data regarding efficacy and safety of the patients were transferred to the data system both before the treatment and on the 6th, 12th and 24th month following the treatment. The data were analyzed using the IBM SPSS 20.00. P value of <0.05 was considered to be statistically significant. Results: A total of 508 multiple sclerosis patients, 331 of whom were women, were included in the study. Upon comparing the Expanded Disability Status values before and after the treatment, a significant decrease was observed, especially at month 6 and thereafter. Since bradycardia occurred in 11 of the patients (2.3%), the first dose had to be longer than 6 hours. During the observation of the first dose, no issues that could prevent the use of the drug occured. Side effects were seen in 49 (10.3%) patients during the course of fingolimod treatment. Respectively, the most frequent side effects were bradycardia, hypotension, headache, dizziness and tachycardia. Conclusion: The observed results regarding efficacy and safety were similar to clinical trial data in the literature and real life data in terms of the first equivalent with fingolimod active ingredient. © 2023, Turkish Neuropsychiatric Society.
