Design and development of a digital intervention for workplace stress and mental health (EMPOWER)

Purpose: We describe the design and development of the European Platform to Promote health and wellbeing in the workplace (EMPOWER) digital intervention that provides an integrative user programme meeting the needs of employees and employers in addressing work stress. Results: A user-centred design process was followed from January 2020 until November 2021. A tailored algorithm was developed to provide support at the individual employee level and the company level. Each element of the digital intervention was developed in English and then translated in Spanish, English, Polish and Finnish. The digital intervention consists of a website and a mobile application (app) that provides algorithm-based personalised content after assessing a user's somatic and psychological symptoms, work functioning, and psychosocial risk factors for work stress. It has a public section and an employer portal that provides recommendations to reduce psychosocial risks in their company based upon clustered input from employees. Usability testing was conducted and showed high ease of use and completion of tasks by participants. Conclusion: The EMPOWER digital intervention is a tailored multimodal intervention addressing wellbeing, work stress, mental and physical health problems, and work productivity. This will be used in a planned RCT in four countries to evaluate its effectiveness

AnCora-Net: multilingual integration of linguistic semantic resources

AnCora-Net es un léxico verbal multilingüe creado a partir de la integración de los léxicos verbales AnCora-Verb, del catalán y español, en el Unified Verb Index del inglés. El Unified Verb Index aúna diferentes fuentes de conocimiento del inglés de amplia cobertura que son sin duda un referente en representación semántica. La integración de nuestros recursos con los del inglés nos permite enriquecer el contenido de los léxicos AnCora-Verb con información semántica codificada para el inglés. Asimismo, el Unified Verb Index también se enriquece con la incorporación de los léxicos AnCora-Verb, del catalán y español, dando lugar a un recurso multilingüe que puede ser útil para estudios comparativos.AnCora-Net is a multilingual verbal lexicon built from the mapping of the Catalan and Spanish AnCora-Verb verbal lexicons into the English Unified Verb Index. The Unified Verb Index combines different sources of knowledge for English of wide coverage, which are a referent in semantic representation. The integration of our resources to the Unified Verb Index will enrich the contents of AnCora-Verb lexicons with semantic information coded for English. AnCoraPipe: a tool for multilevel annotation

AnCoraPipe es una herramienta de anotación de corpus que permite etiquetar diferentes niveles lingüísticos de manera simultánea y eficiente, ya que utiliza un formato único para todas las etapas. De esta forma, se reduce el tiempo de anotación y se facilita la integración del trabajo de todos los anotadores en el proceso.AnCoraPipe is a corpus annotation tool which allows different linguistic levels to be annotated simultaneously and efficiently, since it uses a single format for all stages.
