Symbolic-numeric approach for solving linear differential equations of the fourth order
This paper presents a symbolic-numeric approach for solving linear differential equations of the fourth order in the form of generalized power series. The working program allows to find solutions to differential equations of the fourth order in the form of power series, generally, of any order, but is limited by capabilities of a given computer. Some examples of solving differential equations of the fourth order are presented, which show the efficiency of the developed progra
Simulation of the coordination number of random sphere packing
Given article presents a generalized equation for calculating the average coordination
number from the density of a random sphere packing, supplemented by a dependence on the threshold value of the interparticle distance in two- and three-dimensional spaces. It is shown that the calculation of the average coordination numbers according to the proposed equation gives an unambiguous correspondence between the simulated, calculated and experimental data for threshold values of more than 1.02 particle diameters. An explanation of the weak dependence of the average coordinate number on the packing density for small threshold values of the interparticle distance is given in this wor
Mathematical model of coordination number of spherical packing
The article considers a mathematical model of the coordination number, which allows obtaining an equation for multi component spherical packing in the entire range of its change. The resulting model can be used in both 2-d and 3-d spaces. The concept of the coordination index is introduced as a function of the inter-particle distance related to a single particle located near the central particle. The model provides unambiguous compliance between the simulated and calculated data on the coordination numbers of the spherical packin

Nonpolar optical scattering of positronium in magnesium fluoride
We report the results of the analysis of the temperature broadening of the
momentum distribution of delocalized Positronium (Ps) in Magnesium Fluoride in
terms of optical deformation-potential scattering model (long-wavelength
optical phonons). The Ps optical deformation-potential coupling constant
in MgF has been determined to be eV/cm.
We also show that the Ps momentum distribution is sensitive to second-order
phase transitions in those crystals where optical deformation-potential
scattering is allowed in one and forbidden in another crystalline phase
Chemical analysis of aerosol in the Venusian cloud layer by reaction gas chromatography on board the Vega landers
The experiment on sulfuric acid aerosol determination in the Venusian cloud layer on board the Vega landers is described. An average content of sulfuric acid of approximately 1 mg/cu m was found for the samples taken from the atmosphere at heights from 63 to 48 km and analyzed with the SIGMA-3 chromatograph. Sulfur dioxide (SO2) was revealed in the gaseous sample at the height of 48 km. From the experimental results and blank run measurements, a suggestion is made that the Venusian cloud layer aerosol consists of more complicated particles than the sulfuric acid water solution does
Tensor analyzing power Ayy in deuteron inclusive breakup at large Pt and spin structure of deuteron at short internucleonic distances
The Ayy data for deuteron inclusive breakup off hydrogen and carbon at a
deuteron momentum of 9.0 GeV/c and large Pt of emitted protons are presented.
The large values of Ayy independent of the target mass reflect the sensitivity
of the data to the deuteron spin structure. The data obtained at fixed and
plotted versus Pt clearly demonstrate the dependence of the deuteron spin
structure at short internucleonic distances on two variables. The data are
compared with the calculations using Paris, CD-Bonn and Karmanov's deuteron
wave functions.Comment: 4 pages, 2 figures, talk given at the SPIN2004 Conf., 10-16 Oct.

Analysis of hadron production in nucleus-nucleus interactions up to and out of kinematical limit of free NN-collisions in the frame of FRITIOF model
In the framework of the modified FRITIOF model, the inclusive spectra of the
cumulative -, -mesons and protons produced in the
nucleus-nucleus interactions at 4.5 GeV/c/nucleon and 4.2 GeV/c/nucleon are
calculated. It is shown that the model reproduces qualitatively, and in some
cases quantitatively the main experimental regularities of -mesons
production, and "soft" part of the proton spectra. According to the model the
production of the cumulative particles is connected with the mechanism of the
"soft" nucleon-nucleon interaction.Comment: 12 pages, 11 figure

Mathematical model of stacked one-sided arrangement of the burners
Paper is aimed at computer simulation of the turbulent methane-air combustion in upgraded U-shaped boiler unit. To reduce the temperature in the flame and hence NOx release every burner output was reduced, but the number of the burners was increased. The subject of studying: complex of characteristics with space-time fields in the upgraded steam boiler E-370 with natural circulation. The flare structure, temperature and concentrations were determined computationally
