This paper presents the preliminary results of the research of the Internet usage in the Bulgarian export firms. There are analyzed such problems as introduction of Internet, motivation to use it, its application and economic effects of its usage. The main goal of the current development is to present the results of a research concerning the entering and potential of the Internet technology as an instrument for overcoming barriers, connected with international activity of the Bulgarian companies. The conclusions rely on the preliminary results of the survey, conducted in the period May-September 2003. The survey covers the summarized data from 81 export orientated companies, which activities are realized in different spheres of the national economy. Respondents are companies registered in Bulgaria, which realize export activity and have an e-mail and/or firm Internet page. The selection of the researched companies is not casual and while forming the extract was searched a balance between small, medium-sized and large enterprises.Internet, export enterprises, firm strategy

Psychoanalytic Assessment of Couplets – Some Unconscious Phenomena in Couple Functioning

    Get PDF
This text aims at reviewing aspects of the psychoanalytical understanding of unconscious processes, which play a part in choosing a partner and establishing an intimate relationship in the couple. The opportunities this kind of understanding provides, in the clinical situation, for assessing mental functioning of individual partners and in the couple are also presented. The text is based on authors belonging to the object relation school of psychoanalysis. Some of the basic concepts in thisframework allows us to think about the couple in terms of relationships with internal and external objects and understand the unconscious processes in the minds of the partners. There is a brief account of the origins of the object relation school, as well as some of the basic concepts – projective and introjective identification, paranoi-schizoid and depressive possition and narcissism in the context of the individual and of the couple. Also reviewed are issues such as identity, separateness, intimacy and intrusiveness in the couple, partner choice and the quality of relationships, as well as characteristics of the transference and countertransference.ΠΡ‚ΠΎΡ‚ тСкст рассматриваСт аспСкты психоаналитичСского понимания Π±Π΅ΡΡΠΎΠ·Π½Π°Ρ‚Π΅Π»ΡŒΠ½Ρ‹Ρ… Soil Microorganisms Quantitative Dynamic Characterizing the Overall Biological State in Rhizosphere of Tobacco and Tomato Plants Infected by Broomrape

The quantitative dynamics of soil microorganisms in the rhizosphere of tobacco and tomato plants infected by broomrape %252FPhelipanche ramosa L.%252F were investigated. Parallel pot experiments with the two hosts of the parasite - Oriental type of tobacco and tomato were presented. The variants were%253A by introducing contamination into the soil - seeds by broomrape and control pots - without the seeds by broomrape. Experiments were carried out under controlled conditions. Soil samples for microbiological analyzes were taken from the rhizosphere, in dynamics. The microbiological analyses were executed according to Kohs, in three replications (MPN%252Fg a.d.s), with confidence level 0.05. The surveyed set of soil microorganisms has been comprised two indicators groups characterizing the overall biological state of the microbial communities%253A Autochthonous (on soil extract agar) and Oligotrophic (on diluted soil extract agar). Diversity indexes Shannon (H) and Simpson (D) and the distribution evenness (EH) in the microbial communities were determined. A statistical analysis has been made. The obtained results showed that the quantities of the two groups of microorganisms begun to change visibly around and after 20th day, compared to the amount at the rhizosphere of uninfected by broomrape plants. There was an increase at the population density of autochthonous microorganisms between 20 and 60 days and reduced significantly after this period. The trend was reversed at oligotrophic microorganisms, but the quantities were higher throughout the study period. These dynamics coincide with the phases of broomrape development - germination, formation of a haustorium (about 10-20th day) and attachment to the root of the host (up to about 40-60 days) and the above-ground phases (80-100 days). The analysis showed that microbial communities formed in rhizospheres in the presence of a broomrape had been an oligotrophic character. The relative share of oligotrophic microorganisms in these microbial communities was over 50%25 at both host rhizospheres

Subacute Sclerosing Panencephalitis: Results of the Canadian Paediatric Surveillance Program and review of the literature

BACKGROUND: Subacute Sclerosing Panencephalitis (SSPE) is so rare in developed countries with measles immunization programs that national active surveillance is now needed to capture sufficient number of cases for meaningful analysis of data. Through the Canadian Paediatric Surveillance Program (CPSP), the SSPE study was able to document a national incidence and determine the epidemiology of affected Canadian children. METHODS: Between 1997 and 2000, the CPSP surveyed monthly 1978 to 2294 Canadian pediatricians and sub-specialists for SSPE cases. The response rate varied from 82–86% over those years. RESULTS: Altogether, four SSPE cases were reported to the CPSP: one case before, two during and one after the study period. The incidence of SSPE in Canadian children was 0.06/million children/year. Of the four cases, diagnosed between ages four and 17 years, three children had measles infection in infancy. All children showed a progressive course of dementia, loss of motor skills and epilepsy. Two children were treated with isoprinosine and intraventricular interferon but died in less than three years from disease onset. One child did not have any treatment and died after seven years of illness. One child received intraventricular ribavirin and remains alive, but markedly impaired, nine years following diagnosis. CONCLUSION: The CPSP has demonstrated that Canadian paediatricians and paediatric neurologists may encounter cases of SSPE. This report highlights the clinical course of affected Canadian children and provides a review of the disease and its management
