Multilevel Clustering Fault Model for IC Manufacture

A hierarchical approach to the construction of compound distributions for process-induced faults in IC manufacture is proposed. Within this framework, the negative binomial distribution is treated as level-1 models. The hierarchical approach to fault distribution offers an integrated picture of how fault density varies from region to region within a wafer, from wafer to wafer within a batch, and so on. A theory of compound-distribution hierarchies is developed by means of generating functions. A study of correlations, which naturally appears in microelectronics due to the batch character of IC manufacture, is proposed. Taking these correlations into account is of significant importance for developing procedures for statistical quality control in IC manufacture. With respect to applications, hierarchies of yield means and yield probability-density functions are considered.Comment: 10 pages, the International Conference "Micro- and Nanoelectronics- 2003" (ICMNE-2003),Zvenigorod, Moscow district, Russia, October 6-10, 200

Evaluation of the current state of aquatic ecosystems and the problems of the protection of biological resources during development of kruzenshternskoye gcf

The results of studies of the current state of freshwater ecosystems and their biotic components in the western part of the Yamal Peninsula are presented in the article. Based on the evaluation of the structure of communities of phytoplankton, zooplankton, benthos, and whitefishes, the range of problems related to the protection of biological resources during the development of the Kruzenshternskoye gas field is defined. The data on species composition and quantitative indicators of hydrobionts of different types of waterbodies and watercourses in the lower reaches of the Mordyyakha and Naduyyakha Rivers basins is the basis for environmental monitoring of water objects during development and exploitation of the Kruzenshternskoye gas field. Estimation of the fish fauna state and their food base in the territory of the Kruzenshternskoye GCF according to the monitoring program is present. The river delta zones are the most important feeding areas of the salmonid and whitefishes valuable fish species in the territory of Kruzenshternskoye GCF. In cases where water bodies and watercourses are not completely demolished for the construction of GCF facilities, changes of quantitative and qualitative characteristics of communities of hydrobionts after the end of operations are reversible. River ecosystems are restored within a shorter period of time in comparison to lacustrine ones. Proposals for the protection of fisheries resources and monitoring of aquatic ecosystems on the basis of comprehensive studies are reported. Recommendations on reducing the anthropogenic impact on aquatic ecosystems in the development period are present. The results of the investigation were used in the development of the environmental protection part of the Kruzenshternskoye deposit project. Anthropogenic disturbances present now on the gas deposit territory of Kruzenshternskoye does not influence the aquatic ecosystems. The article have been prepared within the Project of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences № 12-P-47-2013 and "The Arctic" Project of the Presidium of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences № 12-4-3-012

Continuous Wavelet Transform on the Hyperboloid

In this paper we build a Continuous Wavelet Transform (CWT) on the upper sheet of the 2-hyperboloid H_+^2. First, we define a class of suitable dilations on the hyperboloid through conic ptojection. Then, incorporating hyperbolic motions belonging to SO_0(1,2), we define a family of hyperbolic wavelets. The continuous wavelet transform W_f(a,x) is obtained by convolution of the scaled wavelets with the signal. The wavelet transform is proved to be invertible whenever wavelets satisfy a particular admissibility condition, which turns out to be a zero-mean condition. We then provide some basic examples and discuss the limit at null curvature

Cognitive and regulatory characteristics and mathematical performance in high school students.

The study examined the links of cognitive and regulatory characteristics with mathematical outcomes in high school students. Participants were 318 14-16 year old students from 7 state schools in Russia. A computerized test battery was used to measure aspects of number sense, spatial ability, spatial memory and processing speed. The battery also included two measures of mathematical performance. Academic grades and final school test scores in mathematics were also collected. In addition, the students completed the Self-Regulation Profile of Learning Activity Questionnaire – SRPLAQ, which measures different aspects of self-regulation related to achieving learning goals, such as goal planning, results evaluation, and responsibility. The results suggest that cognitive and regulatory features are independently associated with mathematical performance, and that the links differ depending on the specific aspect of mathematical performance used

High-precision tomography of ion qubits based on registration of fluorescent photons

We develop a new method for high-precision tomography of ion qubit registers under conditions of limited distinguishability of its logical states. It is not always possible to achieve low error rates during the readout of the quantum states of ion qubits due to the finite lifetime of excited levels, photon scattering, dark noise, low numerical aperture, etc. However, the model of fuzzy quantum measurements makes it possible to ensure precise tomography of quantum states. To do this, we developed a fuzzy measurement model based on counting the number of fluorescent photons. A statistically adequate algorithm for the reconstruction of quantum states of ion qubit registers based on fuzzy measurement operators is proposed. The algorithm uses the complete information available in the experiment and makes it possible to account for systematic measurement errors associated with the limited distinguishability of the logical states of ion qubits. We show that the developed model, although computationally more complex, contains significantly more information about the state of the qubit and provides a higher accuracy of state reconstruction compared to the model based on the threshold algorithm.Comment: 9 pages, 4 figure
