Online revenue model adoption in the media sector: in-depth results from an exploratory study in the Netherlands
Especially for companies in the media sector such as publishers, the Internet has created new strategic and commercial opportunities. However, many companies in the media sector are struggling with how to adapt their business and revenue model for doing profitable business online. This exploratory study goes into the success factors and the level of adoption of online revenue models by media sector companies. We use Chaffey (2002) in determining online revenue models in which we included Osterwalder’s (2001) four ‘pillars’ of business models. These four pillars cover the twelve critical success factors for e-businesses as identified by Sung (2004). This theoretical framework was used for in-depth interviews with 20 senior managers within the media sector in the Netherlands. From this, it appeared that advertising is the most used online revenue model, with targeting advertising, lead generation and a combination of content and customer profiles as most promising. Ease of use is distinguished by all senior managers as success factor. Still, in order to be successful, all factors should be applied, and this appears not to be the case. Organizations in the media sector need to invest in technical and organizational expertise by hiring the right employees with the right knowledge. Emphasis on target advertising and lead generation are most promising. A combination of content and customer profiles is a focus-point for the near future

Density-Functional-Based Determination of the CH3-CH4 Hydrogen Exchange Reaction Barrier
Due to the overbinding that is inherent in existing {\em local}
approximations to the density-functional formalism, certain reaction energies
have not been accessible. Since the generalized gradient approximation
significantly decreases the overbinding, prospects for density-functional-based
reaction dynamics are promising. Results on the generalized-gradient based
determination of the CH3-CH4 hydrogen exchange reaction are presented.
Including all Born-Oppenheimer effects an energy barrier of 9.5 kcal/Mole is
found which is a very significant improvement over the local-density

Resistivity due to low-symmetrical defects in metals
The impurity resistivity, also known as the residual resistivity, is
calculated ab initio using multiple-scattering theory. The mean-free path is
calculated by solving the Boltzmann equation iteratively. The resistivity due
to low-symmetrical defects, such as an impurity-vacancy pair, is calculated for
the FCC host metals Al and Ag and the BCC transition metal V. Commonly, 1/f

Ab initio simulations of liquid NaSn alloys: Zintl anions and network formation
Using the Car-Parrinello technique, ab initio molecular dynamics simulations
are performed for liquid NaSn alloys in five different compositions (20, 40,
50, 57 and 80 % sodium). The obtained structure factors agree well with the
data from neutron scattering experiments. The measured prepeak in the structure
factor is reproduced qualitatively for most compositions. The calculated and
measured positions of all peaks show the same trend as function of the
composition.\\ The dynamic simulations also yield information about the
formation and stability of Sn clusters (Zintl anions) in the liquid. In our
simulations of compositions with 50 and 57 % sodium we observe the formation of
networks of tin atoms. Thus, isolated tin clusters are not stable in such
liquids. For the composition with 20 % tin only isolated atoms or dimers of tin
appear, ``octet compounds'' of one Sn atom surrounded by 4 Na atoms are not

Recommendations on scuba diving in Birt-Hogg-Dubé syndrome
Introduction: Although very uncommon, severe injury and death can occur during scuba diving. One of the main causes of scuba diving fatalities is pulmonary barotrauma due to significant changes in ambient pressure. Pathology of the lung parenchyma, such as cystic lesions, might increase the risk of pulmonary barotrauma. Areas covered: Birt–Hogg–Dubé syndrome (BHD), caused by pathogenic variants in the FLCN gene, is characterized by skin fibrofolliculomas, an increased risk of renal cell carcinoma, multiple lung cysts and spontaneous pneumothorax. Given the pulmonary involvement, in some countries patients with BHD are generally recommended to avoid scuba diving, although evidence-based guidelines are lacking. We aim to provide recommendations on scuba diving for patients with BHD, based on a survey of literature on pulmonary cysts and pulmonary barotrauma in scuba diving. Expert opinion: In our opinion, although the absolute risks are likely to be low, caution is warranted. Given the relative paucity of literature and the potential fatal outcome, patients with BHD with a strong desire for scuba diving should be informed of the potential risks in a personal assessment. If available a diving physician should be consulted, and a low radiation dose chest computed tomography (CT)-scan to assess pulmonary lesions could be considered.</p
