Subjectivités et écritures de la diaspora francophone: Maryse Condé, Alain Mabanckou et Melchior Mbonimpa

The objective of this study is to bring to light the diverse modalities of the enunciation of subjectivity in the francophone literature of the African diaspora. Our analysis focuses on novels by Maryse Condé, Alain Mabankou and Melchior Mbonimpa. In the first part, we formulate a diachronic overview of the concepts of subjectivity and of diaspora. Then, we study the hegemonic discourses constituted as architexts leading to the reification of identities, cultures and collectivities. From that arises the urgency to contest which ends up in a revaluation of identity and in a return to sources. The second part of this research addresses the subjective perspective offered by the enslaved African woman speaking about her existential reality in Maryse Condé's novel I, Tituba, Witch of Salem by resorting to theories of pragmatics, discourse analysis, diaspora, feminism and sociological studies on memory. Resting on the theoretical concept of critical relationality, the third part examines the process of disaffiliation and affiliation created in contact with alterity. This process sets in motion an epiphanic moment followed by an economy of the affect in Maryse Condé's novel En attendant la montée des eaux. In the fourth part, emphasis is placed on the picaresque in Alain Mabankou's novel Verre Cassé, which underscores the context of enunciation that is the precarity of psychological, existential, socioeconomic and political health of the postcolonial and diasporic subjects; a precarity resulting from a historical and systemic oppression that gives rise to the modalities of subjectivity and to the emergence of diverse critical discourses. The fifth part of this thesis studies the identity claim and the cultural appropriation catalyzed by the memory of origins in Melchior Mbonimpa's historical novel, Le totem des Baranda. This examination is done through the causal link between the epic and the diasporic subject's critical subjectivity. The conclusion puts into perspective the connections between major themes explored beforehand and the alternative view of identity suggested by the filiation/disaffiliation/affiliation recurrent conceptual framework.Ph.D.2016-11-30 00:00:0

Establecimiento de un protocolo de explotacion de cría de patos

Las seguridad de alimentos es una prioridad de salud publica universalmente reconocido. Para conseguirla se requiere un enfoque integral que abarque desde la produccion primaria hasta el consumo. Se ha realizado una descripcion del proceso de cria de patos empleado por la explotacion (COGAVI) seguido de la identificacion de los peligros y la evaluacion des riesgos. Los resultados muestran que las contaminaciones son variadas y multiples en el sector. Los siete principios del HACCP en su conjunto no pueden aplicarse adecuadamente en la produccion primaria. La instalacion es un requesito previo, que puede ser suficiente para crear un enterno higienico que no requiere un control adicional sobre el peligro. La aplicacion de los principios de HACCP para COGAVI llevo al personal de la empresa a cuestionar su metodo de trabajo. Development of a novel, simple and rapid molecular identification system for clinical Candida species

Identification of clinical yeast isolates causing candidiasis is routinely performed by commercial yeast identification systems based on biochemical, morphological and physiological tests. These systems require 3-5 days and the proportion of identifications that are incorrect is high. Our novel and rapid molecular identification system for clinical Candida species is based on the analysis of restriction patterns obtained from PCR-generated ribosomal DNA sequences using five restriction enzymes. A software package (CandID) was designed to include a database of restriction fragment length polymorphism (RFLP) patterns for 29 Candida species. For 'in-house' validation, 122 clinical isolates that had previously identified in clinical laboratories were typed by this system. These clinical isolates were also independently re-identified by the API 20C AUX system. Generative Design for Additive Manufacturing of Satellite Optical Tracker Mount

The organic and intricate nature of machine generated parts is problematic during the manufacturing phase, resulting in high costs and slow production with traditional manufacturing techniques. Additive manufacturing has been explored and approved as the potential solution for fabricating complex geometry and organic lattice structures. With the advances in topology optimization and generative design, design for additive manufacturing (DAM) allows users to generate numerous, high-quality design alternatives that are lighter and stronger than traditionally designed parts. This study addresses the process of designing and load testing a satellite optical instrument mounting bracket using the generative design and simulation capabilities of Autodesk Fusion 360. The workflow pipeline begins with the creation of generative design studies for the instrument bracket in accordance with the design criteria outlined in the optical instrument design challenge, where it is then thermally load tested using finite element analysis (FEA) in Fusion 360 and analyzed for its mechanical behavior.Mechanical Engineerin
