APPLICATION OF THE “PREDATOR-PREY” MODEL FOR ANALYSIS AND FORECASTING THE SHARE OF THE MARKET OF MOBILE OPERATING SYSTEMS

    Get PDF
The study is aimed to analyze the dynamic behavior of indicators of the market share of operating systems of mobile devices using the modified Lotka-Volterra model. Using the solution of an optimization problem, the coefficients of a system of differential equations in the case of two and three competitors are estimated on the basis of real statistical data, and special points and properties of data from dynamic systems are investigated. Based on the numerical integration of the obtained equations, predictions are made of the market share of mobile operating systems Android and iOS.The study is aimed to analyze the dynamic behavior of indicators of the market share of operating systems of mobile devices using the modified Lotka-Volterra model. Purpose - To identify the job satisfaction of distance education teachers. Research methodology. In order to reach the research purpose, an exploratory study was selected. Exploratory study – a preliminary study to find out the content of the problem, composition and directions for its further decision. Research methods - analysis of literature; exploratory study (quantitative survey using the Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire (MSQ)); mathematical statistics. Findings – distance education teachers with low levels of job satisfaction are most likely to feel dissatisfied with their job for the following reasons: compensation, working conditions, supervision - technical, responsibility, recognition, achievement, supervision – human relationships. Research limitation - It was an exploratory study so the results cannot be generalised across all of the Lithuania population. Value - despite the growing popularity of distance education, in Lithuania there are not enough teachers (in general). At this moment in time in Lithuania, there is a lack of about 200 teachers. So these two criteria require extra attention in relation to the distance education teacher’s job satisfaction

The development of a country is impossible outside world trends, where globalization of the world economic space takes the main role, it exerts its influence on all social processes, strengthens interchange between national economies via international trade and investment flows, innovation, funds, migration and other integration processes; globalization influences and determines the competitiveness level for each country. The article analyzes and defines the competitiveness of the country and the factors which determine it, in order to study the rating points of Ukraine; it compares the competitiveness level of Ukraine and neighboring EU countries; identifies the drawbacks and positive opportunities of the economy, thus to propose measures for increasing the competitiveness of Ukraine in the global economy as a whole. The study has found that state competitiveness strongly depends on its self-efficiency, strives for economic growth in the context of globalization, ensuring the well-being of its citizens through the use of competitive factors. It has been determined that the main factors that can ensure the competitiveness of a country are available resources, geographical location, technological progress, productivity, macroeconomic stability, infrastructure development, use of information and communication technologies and more. The position of Ukraine in the International World Economic Forum ratings has been analyzed through Global Competitiveness Index, accounting the data of neighboring countries - members of the EU. It has been revealed that Ukraine hasn’t improved its position in the analyzed rating, which may signify about the absence of effective state policy and reforms that would enhance the country competitiveness. A number of proposals have been formed, the practical implementation of which will ensure the formation and development of an effective competitive economy with further integration into the world economic spac

Straipsnyje aptariamas komandomis grįsto mokymo(si) strategijos elementų pritaikymas virtualiai aplinkai, taikant Web 5.0 saityno technologijas. The article analyses the application of elements of a team-based learning strategy to a virtual environment by creating a prototype that uses Web 5.0 technologies. The team-based teaching / learning strategy was chosen due to its popularity and proven effectiveness in higher education. Web 5.0 web educational technologies have been chosen because of their undoubted future perspective. Both the aforementioned strategy and the Web 5.0 technologies are chosen because they guarantee the development of the competencies necessary in the future (critical thinking, communication, collaboration, creativity, etc.) A prototype was developed and evaluated during the study. The possibilities of Web 5.0 web technologies related to artificial intelligence in the development of the developed prototype are reviewed

Economic efficiency of road transport vehicles of fleet and its impact on commercial indices and production plan of a motor transport enterprise

    No full text
At the current stage of development of the branch of motor transport in Ukraine, satisfactory equipment of enterprises with the fixed assets, particularly motor transport enterprises, is one of the main problems. Fleet of road transport vehicles of those enterprises needs almost complete renovation, and productive-technical base for maintenance inspection and repair of transport requires complete technical re-equipment. The aim of the work is to develop theoretical approaches and practical recommendations concerning maintenance of road transport vehicles of motor transport enterprises, choice of the type of transportation means and determination of the necessary number of vehicles depending on the production plan of their operation

Determinants Influencing the Socially‑Vulnerable Population of Ukraine During the Russo-Ukrainian War

The article studies determinants influencing the socially-vulnerable population of Ukraine in the period of the Russo-Ukrainian War. The research encompasses three directions: first, the study of the current number of socially vulnerable groups of the population within the boundaries of the Carpathian area; second, the study and analysis of the determinants influencing the number of socially-vulnerable groups of the population; third, the investigation of the degree of the determinants’ impact on the number of the socially-vulnerable population within the Carpathian area. The authors of the work have shaped five groups of determinants influencing socially-vulnerable population, namely national, administrative, economic, demographic, and social ones. The research confirms that before the war started in Ukraine, the number of socially-vulnerable population had been reducing both in the country and within the Carpathian area. In particular, in 2001–2021, the number of vulnerable groups of the population reduced by 23% in Ukraine, in the Chernivtsi region – by 24.5%, in the Ivano-Frankivsk region – by 10%, in the Transcarpathian region – by 8.6%, and in the Lviv region – by 6.1%. The situation has changed since the war started. Based on the conducted calculations, it is determined that the greatest impact on the socially-vulnerable population is created by the national and economic determinants, whilst the smallest one – by the demographic determinants, whereas the last ones depend on the geographic position of the region. It is also confirmed by calculations of the radar of determinants influencing socially-vulnerable population. During the Russo-Ukrainian War, the greatest impact of the determinants on socially-vulnerable population is marked in the Lviv region
