HOLON APPROACH IN NEED OF COMPANY RESTRUCTURING
Holon concept of systems theory and systems developed in after 80s of last century. The term holon (Greek: Hales = whole, derived from parts) was taken over by specialists in the field of systems, from the American Professor A. Koestler , who first used in the context of the systems division, talking about systems that operate in other systems. The holon is essentially an operating system under which one or more autonomous systems, integration. The holon is integrative role that optimizes operation and results of embedded systems, limiting excessive generalization of the classical notion of system. This approach assumes that there are quite a few companies in the state of \"vitality\" or less and those who remain in a state of alert and that in most cases, even a viable business, reservations, or to increase the effectiveness of that maintaining this state requires some effort, area businesses in \"difficulty\" or \"vulnerable\" under these conditions is expanding.holon system, restructuring, analysis diagnosis, risk analysis, risk of bankruptcy, stakeholders
IFRS 8 â OPERATING SEGMENTS
Segment reporting in accordance with IFRS 8 will be mandatory for annual financial statements covering periods beginning on or after 1 January 2009. The standards replaces IAS 14, Segment Reporting, from that date. The objective of IFRS 8 is to require: operating segments, reporting of financial information, reportable segments, chief operating decision maker (CODM
The role of Skp2 and its substrate CDKN1B (p27) in colorectal cancer
Colorectal cancer is one of the most frequent cancers worldwide, having the fourth mortality rate among cancers in both sexes. Numerous studies are investigating the signaling pathways and different factors involved in the development and progression of colorectal cancer. It has recently been shown that the S-phase kinase-associated protein 2 (Skp2) overexpression plays an important role in the pathogenesis of colorectal cancer. We review the role of Skp2 and its ubiquitin-proteasome pathway in colorectal cancer. The F-box protein Skp2, a component of the SCF (Skp1-Cullin 1-F-box) E3 ubiquitin-ligase complex, has been shown to regulate cellular proliferation, cancer progression and metastasis by targeting several cell cycle regulators for ubiquitination and subsequent 26S proteasome degradation. The best known protein substrate of the Skp2 is the cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor 1B (CDKN1B), also known as p27Kip1. Overexpression of Skp2 and loss of CDKN1B (p27) was strongly associated with aggressive tumor behavior and poor clinical outcome in a variety of cancers, including colorectal cancer. An efficient interaction between Skp2 and CDKN1B (p27) requires the presence of an essential activator of the SCF-Skp2 complex, the cyclin-dependent kinase subunit 1 (Cks1) cofactor. Alterations in the Skp2, Cks1 and CDKN1B (p27) expression have major effects on colorectal carcinogenesis and may serve as an important and independent prognostic marker. Furthermore, we highlight that Skp2 may be a promising therapeutic target for colorectal cancer, and development of Skp2 inhibitors would have a great impact on colorectal cancer therapy.</jats:p
Giant Left Atrial Myxoma Masquerading as Cough-Syncope Syndrome
Left atrial myxomas are the most common type of benign primary cardiac tumor. Patients can present with generalized symptoms, such as fatigue, symptoms from obstruction of the myxoma, or even embolization of the myxoma causing distal thrombosis. We describe a case with several-month duration of syncopal episodes that occurred after coughing and with exertion. Computed tomography of the chest showed a 6.1 cm by 4.5 cm mass in the left atrium, later evaluated with an echocardiogram. Cardiothoracic surgery removed the mass, and it was determined to be an atrial myxoma. It is important for an internist to be able to diagnose an atrial myxoma because of the risks associated with embolization and even sudden death as myxoma can block blood supply from atrium to ventricle
This work examines the motives ScrumMasters have to get certified. Further,
the goal is to get an insight into how newfound skills are used in the
workplace and if certification is all about skills or fashion. The study has a
qualitative research method. Empirical data collection occurred through
semi-structured interviews with people who have good ScrumMaster
certification skills. To find the answer to the question, interviews were
conducted with seven ScrumMasters and questionnaire in which two out of
the three responded. The results from these interviews show that the
respondents have a mixed view on ScrumMaster Certification
