Optimization Methods for Energy Consumption Estimation in Wireless Sensor Networks
The main problems in wireless sensor technologies are the constrained energy resources (e. g., battery capacity, processing consumption), and their long-lasting operational capacity in the environment while collecting and sending data to the central station. So, in the design and development of wireless sensor networks, one of the main challenges
is to achieve maximal battery life. Real time monitoring by implementation of wireless sensor networks contributes to minimization of potential production risks, emerging mainly from environmental influences and human actions. The main goal in this paper is to obtain minimal energy consumption of wireless sensor nodes while collecting
distributed data in environmental parameters monitoring. The communication module and the controller should be in idle state as long as possible when they are not active. Energy consumption changes with the frequency of the transmitted measurement data by the sensors and send/receive configuration of the radio frequency modules. Therefore, all
of these parameters should be chosen carefully in order to create an optimal environmental monitoring system. In this contribution the stochastic optimization method-genetic algorithm is used to minimize the energy consumption of the wireless sensor nodes depending on the frequency of the transmitted data and the period of the transmission process. The optimization method is implemented for different scenarios
while the frequency of the transmitted data is increasing and the period of transmission of all the active components in a sensor node is increasing
Financial determinants of corporate reputation: A short-term approach
When observing companies listed on stock exchanges, it can be noticed that the gap between a company's book value (BV) and its market value (MV) is often significant. The fact that investors are willing to pay more for companies' assets is often explained using the concept of corporate reputation – an intangible additional asset of a company, which is worth to paying for
Δείξατέ μοι δηνάριον (Łk 20,24) – monety używane w Palestynie na kartach Ewangelii
Numizmatyka jest jedną z dyscyplin pomocniczych archeologii i historii. Analizuje monety z punkty widzenia historycznego, artystycznego i ekonomicznego.
SALVATION OF JEWS AND GENTILES IN LUKE-ACTS. NARRATIVE ANALYSIS OF SELECTED PASSAGES
To određuje Božje spasenje ponuđeno preko Isusovog propovijedanja i službe. Apostoli, poslušni zapovjedi uskrslog Gospodina, navješćuju oproštenje grijeha najprije Židovima, a potom sve do nakraj zemlje. The salvation that Jesus offers to the whole world, first to the Jews (as heirs of God’s promises) and then to the Gentiles, is at the core of the theology of Luke-Acts. The “failed mission” in the synagogue of Nazareth presents the content of Jesus’ preaching and demonstrates that the proclamation of a year acceptable to the Lord is at the center of his mission. It defines the salvation of God offered through Jesus’ preaching and ministry. The entire ministry of Jesus, as Luke describes it, is a faithful implementation of the program inaugurated in the synagogue of Nazareth. By healing and performing exorcisms Jesus liberates all those who are oppressed by Satan and held in any kind of captivity, be it physical or moral. The theme of salvation, so central in the Gospel, continues in the Book of Acts. The apostles, obedient to the command of the risen Lord, proclaim the forgiveness of sins first to Jews and then to the ends of the earth. Although reading the Acts of the Apostles one may get the impression that the mission among the Gentiles is nothing more than a side effect of Israel’s refusal to accept salvation, the acceptance of salvation by Cornelius and his house, the descent of the Holy Spirit upon them (see Acts 10:1-48) as well as Paul’s visit in Antioch in Pisidia (see Acts 13:16-52), clearly demonstrates that the mission among the Gentiles is anything but accidental
Z historii ksiąg gruntowych (Grundbücher)
In the article the Author makes an attempt to describe - in a broad historical perspective
- the genesis and evolution of the German system of “ground book” (Grundbuch)
as an instrument of registration of interests to land. The above-mentioned aim of the
article affects its composition and its division into particular chapters. In the first chapter
the earliest traditions of Germanic tribal laws were described, taking into account
the essential means of land transfer publicization of those regulations, namely: Sala,
Gewere a n d Auflassung. In the second chapter the Author discusses the genesis of the
first “ground books” in the German medieval cities. The third chapter focuses on the
basic land interests publicization systems operating in Germany in the modern period,
i.e. following the reception of Roman law which strongly impeded the development
of land registries in Germany. In the fourth chapter the current model of German
Grundbuch was described, beginning from the 19th century codification until the present
day problems, such as digitalization of land register and its future perspectives. In
the fifth chapter the Author discusses the evolution of land registries in Austria and
Switzerland. In the final remarks the Author makes an attempt to characterize the influence
of the German system on the Polish regulations governing land registration and to
formulate conclusions concerning the possible use of German rules in order to improve
the Polish land registration system.
szerokiej perspektywy historycznej. Realizacji tego celu służyć ma przyjęta
systematyka pracy i jej podział na poszczególne rozdziały. W pierwszym rozdziale
pojęć: Sala, Gewere i Auflassung. W rozdziale drugim poruszono kwestię genezy
pierwszych ksiąg gruntowych w miastach niemieckich okresu średniowiecza. Rozdział
trzeci dotyczy podstawowych systemów publicyzacji praw do nieruchomości funkcjonujących
rozwój instytucji ksiąg gruntowych w Austrii i Szwajcarii. W ramach uwag
