Analysis of the nature of the and decays
We study interference patterns in the and reactions. Taking into account the interference, we fit the
experimental data and show that the background reaction does not distort the
spectrum in the decay everywhere over the
energy region and does not distort the spectrum in the decay
in the wide region of the system
invariant mass, MeV, or when the photon energy is less than
300 MeV. We discuss the details of the scalar meson production in the radiative
decays and note that there are reasonable arguments in favor of the one-loop
mechanism and . We
discuss also distinctions between the four-quark, molecular, and two-quark
models and argue that the Novosibirsk data give evidence in favor of the

We study the decay taking into account the scalar
mesons production and the final state
radiation. We note that the relative sign between the final state radiation
amplitude and the scalar meson production amplitude is fixed in the
loop model which describes data on the and
decays. As consequence this model predicts
the definite interference between the final state radiation and the scalar
resonance production amplitudes. We calculate the mass spectra of the
decay and the differential cross-sections for
and for

The new analysis of the KLOE data on the phi->eta pi0 gamma decay
In this paper we present the fit to the recent high-statistical KLOE data on
the phi -> eta pi^0 gamma decay. This decay mainly goes through the a_0 gamma
intermediate state. The obtained results differ from those of the previous
fits: data prefer a high a_0 mass and a considerably large a_0 coupling to the

Temperature and ac Effects on Charge Transport in Metallic Arrays of Dots
We investigate the effects of finite temperature, dc pulse, and ac drives on
the charge transport in metallic arrays using numerical simulations. For finite
temperatures there is a finite conduction threshold which decreases linearly
with temperature. Additionally we find a quadratic scaling of the
current-voltage curves which is independent of temperature for finite
thresholds. These results are in excellent agreement with recent experiments on
2D metallic dot arrays. We have also investigated the effects of an ac drive as
well as a suddenly applied dc drive. With an ac drive the conduction threshold
decreases for fixed frequency and increasing amplitude and saturates for fixed
amplitude and increasing frequency. For sudden applied dc drives below
threshold we observe a long time power law conduction decay.Comment: 6 pages, 7 postscript figure
Radiative decays with light scalar mesons and singlet-octet mixing in ChPT
We study different types of radiative decays involving f0(980) and a0(980)
mesons within a unified ChPT-based approach at one-loop level. Light scalar
resonances which are seen in pi pi, pi eta, K K-bar channels of phi(1020)
radiative decays and in J/psi decays are responsible for key questions of
low-energy dynamics in the strong interaction sector, and decays phi(1020) ->
gamma a0(980), phi(1020) -> gamma f0(980), a0(980) -> gamma gamma, f0(980) ->
gamma gamma are of interest for current experimental programs in Juelich,
Frascati and Novosibirsk. From theoretical point of view it is important to
verify whether light scalar mesons are members of some flavor octet or nonet.
We find a value of mixing angle dictated by consistency with experiment and
coupling structures of ChPT Lagrangian. Decay widths f0(980)/a0(980) -> gamma
rho(770)/omega(782), which are not studied experimentally yet, are predicted.
We also obtain several relations between widths, which hold independently of

Mental health risks among informal waste workers in Kathmandu Valley, Nepal
Informal waste workers are a vulnerable population group who are often socio-economically marginalized and disadvantaged, with more likelihood of experiencing ill health than the general population. To explore the determinants of mental ill health in this group, we conducted a cross-sectional survey of 1278 informal waste-workers in Nepal in 2017, using a demographic health assessment questionnaire and a modified Patient Health Questionnaire (PHQ-9). We looked at the potential associations between various exposure factors and mental health outcomes and found that 27.4% of waste-workers had depressive symptoms, more likely to be reported by female (OR 2.290), older person (OR 7.757), divorced/separated (5.859), and those with ill health (OR 2.030), or disability (OR 3.562). Waste-workers with access to social protection (OR 0.538) and financial savings (OR 0.280) were less likely to have depressive symptoms. There are key risk factors that may enable identification of particularly vulnerable persons within this group and also protective factors that may help improve their mental health resilience
e+e- annihilation to (pi0 pi0 gamma) and (pi0 eta gamma) as a source of information on scalar and vector mesons
We present a general framework for the model-independent decomposition of the
fully differential cross section of the reactions e+e- -> gamma* -> (pi0 pi0
gamma) and e+e- -> gamma* -> (pi0 eta gamma), which can provide important
information on the properties of scalar mesons: f0(600), f0(980) and a0(980).
For the model-dependent ingredients in the differential cross section, an
approach is developed, which relies on Resonance Chiral Theory with vector and
scalar mesons. Numerical results are compared to data. The framework is
convenient for development of a Monte Carlo generator and can also be applied
to the reaction e+e- -> gamma* -> (pi+ pi- gamma).Comment: 15 pages, 12 Figures, 4 Tables; LaTeX svjour style; update to the

Scalar meson dynamics in Chiral Perturbation Theory
A comparison of the linear sigma model (LM) and Chiral Perturbation
Theory (ChPT) predictions for pion and kaon dynamics is presented. Lowest and
next-to-leading order terms in the ChPT amplitudes are reproduced if one
restricts to scalar resonance exchange. Some low energy constants of the order
ChPT Lagrangian are fixed in terms of scalar meson masses. Present values
of these low energy constants are compatible with the LM dynamics. We
conclude that more accurate values would be most useful either to falsify the
LM or to show its capability to shed some light on the controversial

Search for supersymmetry with a dominant R-parity violating LQDbar couplings in e+e- collisions at centre-of-mass energies of 130GeV to 172 GeV
A search for pair-production of supersymmetric particles under the assumption
that R-parity is violated via a dominant LQDbar coupling has been performed
using the data collected by ALEPH at centre-of-mass energies of 130-172 GeV.
The observed candidate events in the data are in agreement with the Standard
Model expectation. This result is translated into lower limits on the masses of
charginos, neutralinos, sleptons, sneutrinos and squarks. For instance, for
m_0=500 GeV/c^2 and tan(beta)=sqrt(2) charginos with masses smaller than 81
GeV/c^2 and neutralinos with masses smaller than 29 GeV/c^2 are excluded at the
95% confidence level for any generation structure of the LQDbar coupling.Comment: 32 pages, 30 figure
