Este artigo procura experimentar com a noção de diferença sexual, tentando dar-lhe outras roupagens, a partir de críticas que surgem no seio da produção teórica feminista – como as de Monique Wittig e Judith Butler – mas também de tentativas de resgatá-la ou re-significá-la como nos escritos de Luce Irigaray e Rosi Braidotti. Retornar à raiz : tradição e experiência em uma linhagem taoísta no Brasil

Tese (doutorado) — Universidade de Brasília, Instituto de Ciências Humanas, Departamento de Antropologia, Programa de Pós-graduação em Antropologia Social, 2000.Ao investigar uma tradição espiritual predominantemente contemplativa adotei um tipo que abordagem que privilegia o vivido, enfatizando a participação como estratégia para compreensão da substância deste tipo de experiência do sagrado. Assim como a teoria, o corpo do antropólogo toma-se um instrumento de pesquisa. Em contraposição à ênfase no olhar e na observação supostamente neutra e distanciada, trata-se de incluir plenamente o corpo, os sentidos e a afetividade do antropólogo em suas estratégias de pesquisa, de modo a tomar contato com as técnicas, propósitos e efeitos dos sistemas de meditação. Ao contrário da perspectiva sinoiógica que privilegia a exegese dos textos clássicos, concentrei-me em uma versão contemporânea concreta do taoísmo, o grupo com sede na cidade de São Paulo, constituído em tomo do mestre chinês Liu Pai Lin. Focalizo os aspectos práticos desta tradição como estruturantes de um tipo particular de experiência de mundo e amplio a noção de narrativa para abarcar tanto falas quanto obras literárias, material iconográfico e técnicas corporais e os seus modos srtuacionais de articulação e reatualização no presente, no contexto performativo do ensino oral e prático. Paralelamente, discuto as possibilidades de uma etnografia da meditação e as especificidades e ambiguidades da posição do antropólogo.Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico (CNPq).Investigating a contemplative spiritual tradition I chose an approach based on participation as an strategy to understand the substance of this type of experience of the sacred. Besides theory, the anthropologist's body must become an instrument for field research. Instead of emphasizing sight and neutral distant observation, it is a matter of including the anthropologist’s body, senses and emotions as part of his/her strategies in the field in order to make contact with the techniques, aims and effects of the systems of meditation. While the sinologisfs approach privileges the interpretation of classical texts, I concentrated on a concrete contemporary version of Taoism, a group from São Paulo, structured around the Chinese master Liu Pai Lin. I focus on the practical aspects of that tradition as structuring a particular kind of experience of the world and amplify the notion of narrative to include utterances and literary works, iconography and body techniques, boths their situational modes of articulation in the present, as well as the performative context of oral and practical teaching.
