Gemeinsamkeiten und Unterschiede werden aufgezeigt und ein Vergleich zwischen den beiden Ländern angestellt.The paper decribes the results of qualitative research about the work of volunteers in art institutions such as theatres, operas, symphony orchestras and museums. Volunteer management in the US and in Germany are described and compared
