This study delves into the perspectives of Yusuf Al-Qaradhawi and Suhailah Zainul Abidin Hammad on the complex topic of Misyar marriage within the framework of Islamic jurisprudence. The objective of this study is to analyze and compare their viewpoints on the legitimacy, societal implications, and ethical dimensions of Misyar marriage within the Islamic context. Utilizing a qualitative approach, this study takes the form of a library research inquiry. Employing a descriptive-comparative approach, researcher scrutinize Misyar marriage law through the lenses of both Yusuf AlQaradhawi and Suhailah Zainul Abidin Hammad. The data was gathered from various documents, and the principal data originates from Al-Qaradhawi's book "Zawajul Misyar, Haqiqatuhu Wa Hukumuhu" and Suhailah's "Zawajul Misyar." Key findings reveal that Al-Qaradhawi tends to adopt a more lenient stance, emphasizing its potential to address specific societal needs. In contrast, Suhailah expresses significant reservations, highlighting potential exploitation and its consequences on familial relationships and broader societal dynamics

The advancement in technological innovation has given rise to a new trend known as Big Data today. Given the soaring popularity of big data technology, organisations are profoundly attracted to and interested in it to transform their organisation by improving their businesses. Big data is enabling organisations to outpace their competitors and save cost. Similarly, the application of Big Data management in Universities is an essential aspect to institutions that have Big Data to manage; as the use of Big Data in the higher education sector is increasing day by day. Many studies have been carried out on big data and analytics with little interest in its management. Big Data management is a reality that represents a set of challenges involving Big Data modeling, storage, and retrieval, analysis, and visualization for several areas in organizations. This paper introduces and contributes to the conceptual and theoretical understanding of Big Data management within higher education as it outlines its relevance to higher education institutions. It describes the opportunities this growing research area brings to higher education as well as major challenges associated with it

Removal of Zn (II) ions Using Activated Carbon Prepared from Rice Husk Treated with Sodium Hydroxide

    Get PDF
This project aims to find a method to develop the most efficient activated carbon prepared from rice husk. In the project, the rice husk is initially grinded and sieved, then treated with sodium hydroxide, carbonized at 400 and 600ºC and finally extraction study was done to determine the activated carbon adsorption capacity

Simulation and Modeling of Front Suspension System of Proton Gen-2 Model Car

    Get PDF
The main goal of this project entitled ‘Simulation and Modeling of Front Suspension System of Proton Gen-2 Model Car’ is to carry out a feasible study on the independent McPherson front suspension system installed to Proton Gen-2 Model car. The project starts with the thorough analysis on the system. Further analytical and literature studies will be conducted based on the simulation. Data gathered from the study will then being used to design a newly improved front suspension system. A 3D model of the enhanced model will be evaluated by the application of related computer aided engineering software. Finally, a feasibility study of the new system will be performed and data gathered for further revision. The focus of this project is to suggest the improvement on the existing front suspension system, with emphasize on the ride and handling quality being obtained, without jeopardizing safety and standard road regulations of the country

Study on the Effect of Different Ratio of Primary and Secondary Emulsifier in Drilling Fluid

    Get PDF
Drilling fluid plays an important role in drilling operation. The main function of drilling fluid is to transport drilling cuttings from the well, control formation pressure and maintain the stability of the wellbore. Two main categories of drilling fluid are water-based mud and non-aqueous mud. In non-aqueous mud there are two types of mud which is the oil-based mud and synthetic based mud. For both non-aqueous muds, one of the most important chemical used is emulsifier. Emulsifier consists of two types which are primary and secondary emulsifier. The primary emulsifier function is to emulsify the water inside the oil so that there is no free water in filtrate and the secondary emulsifier is as the wetting agent. The efficiency of the emulsifier from the emulsion stability test using the electrical stability meter and from the filtration of the mud using the HTHP filter press. The performance of emulsifier in mud under different ratio of primary and secondary emulsifier can be predicted through the behaviour pattern. Moreover, the temperature of the down hole and performance of the mud are very significant. This project had been conducted at Baker Hughes Drilling Fluid Laboratory at Bangi by using their chemicals, equipment, and tools. In conclusion, the finding of this project is the best ratio of primary to secondary emulsifier for the temperature of 300°F and below is 1:2 while for the temperature of 300°F till 350°F the best ratio of primary to secondary emulsifier is 2:1

Efficient Journey Planning and Congestion Prediction Through Deep Learning

    Get PDF
The advancements of technology continuously rising over the years has seen many applications that are useful in providing users with sufficient information to make better journey plans on their own. However, commuters still find themselves going through congested routes every day to get to their destinations. This paper attempts to delineate the possibilities of improving urban mobility through big data processing and deep-learning models. Essentially, through a predictive model to predict congestion and its duration, this paper aims to develop and validate a functional journey planning mobile application that can predict traffic conditions, allowing road users to make better informed decisions to their travel plans. This paper proposes a Multi-Layered Perceptron (MLP) deep learning model for congestion prediction and supplements a Linear Regression (LR) model to predict its duration. The proposed MLP-LR model performed reasonably well with an accuracy of 63% in predicting an occurrence of congestion. Some critical discussions on further research opportunities stemming from this study is also presented
