    UN PEACEKEEPING MISSIONS AND EXPERIENCE IN SOUTH-EAST EUROPE

    U radu se prikazuju načela djelovanja Ujedinjenih naroda i nastanak Poveljom nepredviđenih mehanizama – mirovnih operacija. Posebno se razmatraju njihove posebnosti i etapni razvoj. Područje jugoistočne Europe različito se zemljopisno, povijesno i geostrateški omeđuje, ali je u ovome članku zaokruženo na područje bivše Jugoslavije. U radu se analiziraju mehanizmi i problemi pokretanja mirovnih operacija i kriteriji prema kojima se ocjenjuje njihova uspješnost. Također se ističu problemi zakašnjele percepcije sukoba u bivšoj Jugoslaviji. Ovdje se također pokušava doći do odgovora na pitanje je li tradicionalno očuvanje mira bilo dio odabira pogrješne strategije uključivanja UN-a.The paper shows principle of the United Nations activities and establishment of mechanisms unforeseen by the Charter – peacekeeping operations. Their particularities and stage development are especially analyzed. Area of South-East Europe is geographically, historically and geostrategically bordered in different ways, but in this paper it is limited to area of former Yugoslavia. The paper analyzes mechanisms and problems of initiating peacekeeping operations and criteria in accordance to which their successfulness is rated. Problems of late perception of conflicts in former Yugoslavia are also pointed out. It has been also tried to find the answer if the traditional peacekeeping was a part of choosing the wrong strategy of UN involvement

    Odnosi s javnošću su od jednoga od svojih utemeljitelja Edwarda Bernaysa naslijedili metode i tehnike koje su bile primjerene epohi nastanka, ali nisu bile prihvatljive s aspekta etike. U radu se analizira pristup spomenutoga utemeljitelja i procjenjuje njegov utjecaj na suvremene odnose s javnošću. U fokusu analize je Bernaysovo spominjanje etike, prakticiranje manipulacije i propagande, teorije zagovaranja i anticipiranje važnosti društvene odgovornosti. U radu se uspoređuju hijerarhija vrijednosti i naglašavanje načela kod Bernaysa i u suvremenome konceptu odnosa s javnošću.From one of its founders, Edward Bernays, public relations inherited methods and techniques that were appropriate for the era of its creation, but were not acceptable from the point of view of ethics. The paper analyzes the approach of the mentioned founder and evaluates his influence on contemporary public relations. The focus of the analysis is Bernays’ mention of ethics, the practice of manipulation and propaganda, the theory of advocacy and the anticipation of the importance of social responsibility. The paper compares the hierarchy of values and emphasis on principles in Bernays and in the modern concept of public relations

    FROM THE PERSUASION TECHNIQUE TO DISGUISED MARKETING

    Na temelju primjera iz tiska u Bosni i Hercegovini te usporedbe sa stanjem u Sloveniji i Hrvatskoj u radu se pojašnjavaju razlozi pojavljivanja i modusi funkcioniranja prikrivenoga oglašivanja. U prvome se dijelu donosi kratak prikaz Europske direktive o prikrivenome oglašivanju koja ovaj problem rješava samo s obzirom na audio-vizualna sredstva, dok tisak i nadalje ostaje prepušten samoregulaciji. U drugome se dijelu pojašnjavaju uloga i funkcije medija u društvu te reguliranje takvih pojava bilo etičkim bilo profesionalnim kodeksima koji su na snazi u Bosni i Hercegovini i u nekim europskim državama. Kao poseban dio obrađuje se pitanje profesionalaca koji se bave odnosima s javnosti te njihov izravan ili neizravan utjecaj na pojavljivanje i obujam prikrivenoga oglašivanja. Na kraju, kao ilustracija neprofesionalnoga i gotovo manipulatorskoga djelovanja nekih medijskih radnika, donosi se nekoliko primjera iz domaćega tiska koji su se pokazali kao klasični uzorci prikrivenoga oglašivanja ili su pak čisti primjeri tekstova PR-stručnjaka.On the basis of examples from the press in Bosnia and Herzegovina and comparison with the state in Slovenia and Croatia the authors explain the reasons of emergence and modes of disguised marketing functioning. The first part of the paper gives a short overview of the European directive on disguised marketing which solves this problem only with regard to audio-visual means, while press is left to self-regulation. The second part explains the role and function of media in a society and regulation of such phenomena either with ethical or professional codes, which are in effect in Bosnia and Herzegovina and some European countries. Issue of professionals, who deal with public relations and their direct or indirect influence on the emergence and volume of disguised marketing, is analyzed as a special part. In the end, there are a couple of examples from the local press which proved to be classical causes of disguised marketing or clear examples of PR experts’ texts. They are an illustration of unprofessional and almost manipulating activity of some media workers

    U ovom diplomskom radu proučavali smo kompleksne funkcije kompleksne varijable i njihovu geometrijsku interpretaciju. Na početku smo rekli nešto o tome kako je došlo do razvoja kompleksne analize. Zatim smo definirali kompleksne funkcije kompleksne varijable i objasnili problem koji se javlja kod prikazivanja slika tih funkcija. Obično za prikaz slike kompleksnih funkcija koristimo dva dvodimenzionalna koordinatna sustava - jedan za domenu, drugi za kodomenu. Na taj način prikazali smo kako elementarne kompleksne funkcije preslikavaju različite podskupove domene. Na kraju smo opisali način prikazivanja kompleksnih funkcija pomoću boja koji nam omogućava uočavanje svojstava kompleksnih funkcija poput periodičnosti, ograničenosti, postojanje nultočaka, singulariteta, te kako se funkcija ponaša u beskonačnosti.In this thesis we study complex functions of complex variable and their geometric interpretation. We begin with a very short historical development of complex analysis. Then, we give deffinition of complex functions of complex variable and explain the problem of presenting their images. Usually we use two two-dimensional coordinate systems - one for domain, the other for codomain, for presenting images of complex functions. In this manner, we show how elementary complex functions map different subsets of domain. Finally, we describe another way of representing complex functions using colors which can be helpful since it can show properties like periodicity, boundedness, zero points of a function, singularities of a function, and also behavior of a function at inffinity

    Na modernom tržištu rada sve je važniji pojam fleksibilnosti koji za sobom povlači određenu vrstu sigurnosti. Na temelju toga nastao je koncept fleksigurnosti, koji poslodavcima omogućava fleksibilnije zapošljavanje i otpuštanje radnika, dok radnicima nudi sigurnost pronalaženja novog posla. Fleksibilnost poslodavce potiče na usvajanje nestandardnih oblika zapošljavanja iz kojih proizlaze i nestandardni oblici radnog vremena. Takvi oblici radnog vremena uključuju: fleksibilno radno vrijeme, klizno radno vrijeme, sažeti radni tjedan, godišnji raspored radnog vremena te nepuno radno vrijeme. Svaki od tih oblika ima određene prednosti i nedostatke. Također, u skladu s globalnim promjenama i razvojem tehnologije nastaju i virtualna radna mjesta. S obzirom da svaka organizacija teži uspješnosti, mora ispuniti određene ciljeve za čije ispunjenje su ključni zaposlenici. Ljudima postaju sve važnije potrebe višeg reda, stoga su poslodavci sve više usmjereni na nematerijalne strategije motivacije zaposlenika.In the modern labour market the term of flexibility is increasingly important and it entails a ceratin type of security. On this basis, developed the concept flexicurity , which allows to employers more flexible hiring and firing of workers, while for workers it offers security of finding a new job. Flexibility encourage employers to adopt non-standard of employment which establish a non-standard forms of working time. This forms of working time includes: flexible working hours, staggered hours, compressed work week, annual working hours, and part-time. Each of these forms has some advantages and disadvantages. Also, according to global changes and development of technologies occuring a virtual workplaces. Considering that evry organization strives to succes, must meet certain the goals for which fulfillment are neccessary employees. For the people are becoming more important needs of a higher order, so employers are increasingly focused on immaterial strategy of employee motivation

    Kozmetička industrija odnosi se na proizvodnju kemijskih spojeva čiji je finalni zadatak zaštita ljudskog tijela. Vizija i misija poslovanja danas se prebacila sa kemijskih spojeva na pružanje zadovoljstva potrošačima uz poštivanje pravnih regulativa. Cilj ovog istraživanja je otkriti kojim marketinškim strategijama kozmetička industrija zadržava svoje potrošače, dok istovremeno ulaže u nove tehnologije, povećanje prihoda, te ne šteti određenom etičkom kodeksu. Strategije za postizanje navedenih ciljeva razlikuju se ovisno o kategoriji proizvoda, kupovnoj moći potrošača, ali i geografskoj pripadnosti. Svrha ovog rada je prikazati analizu tržišta kozmetičke industrije u Republici Hrvatskoj i Europskoj uniji, kao i istražiti način na koji treba prilagoditi marketing miks aktualnoj tržišnoj situaciji.Cosmetics industry refers to producing of chemical compounds with its final purpose of providing human's body protection and care. The vision and mission of today's business turned from chemical compounds into providing pleasure for customers by answering the trends and constantly growing needs, and also by following the legal regulations. The aim of this research is to reveale which marketing strategies make the cosmetics industry to keep its consumers, with investing in new technologies at the same time, as with increasing income, without harming the specific code of ethics. The strategies to achieve the above mentioned aims vary depending on the product category, as on purchasing power of consumers, but also on geographical affiliation. The purpose of this study is to present analysis of market cosmetics industry in Croatia and in the European Union, as well as explore the way how to adjust the marketing mix the current marketing situation
