The "10th^{\rm th} International Workshop on the CKM Unitary Triangle" took place at the University of Heidelberg on September 17th^{\rm th}-21st^{\rm st}, 2018. In this write-up, we summarize the material discussed at the workshop by the Working Group 7, which focused on latest experimental results and theoretical developments in the study of mixing and CPCP violation in the neutral DD system, and of CPCP violation and decay properties of other charm mesons and baryons.Comment: Proceedings of the CKM 2018 Workshop, https://ckm2018.physi.uni-heidelberg.de. Implementation of Low Power Multiplexer usign Adiabatic Logic

    Get PDF
Adiabatic logic is a low power logic based on charge recovery principle. In this paper, an adiabatic logic based 2x1 multiplexer and 4x1 multiplexer are designed on the basis of Two-Phase Adiabatic Static Clocked Logic (2PASCL) technique. The power dissipation of proposed technique is compared with conventional CMOS technique according to the various values of input signal switching frequencies, number of active devices and total nodes. The simulation is performed on S-edit of TANNER tools with BSIM4 at 90nm technology

Background: Esophageal cancer is one of the deadliest and eighth most common cancer worldwide. It is the sixth most common cause of cancer related deaths with developing nations making up more than 80% of total cases and deaths. The purpose of this study was to assess the histopathological pattern of esophageal cancer in our region. Methods: In our centre, we analyzed 101 cases of endoscopic esophageal biopsy proven cases of esophageal cancer from January 2014 to June 2016. In most of these cases, dysphagia was the commonest indication of esophageal endoscopy. Results: 65 cases (64.4%) were males and 36 cases (35.6%) were females. Most of the patients were in the age group of 41-60 years. The histopathological analysis revealed squamous cell carcinoma as the most common esophageal cancer (n=61, 60.4%) followed by adenocarcinoma (n=38, 37.6%) and 02 cases of undifferentiated carcinoma (2%).Conclusions: Esophageal cancer is one of the commonest digestive tract malignancy in India. The males are affected more than the females with male to female ratio of 1.8:1. The maximum number of cases being seen in fifth and sixth decade of life. The squamous cell carcinoma is the most common esophageal cancer seen, with middle esophagus being the commonest site. However, the number of cases of adenocarcinoma are on rise

The disease haemorrhoids is an Ano-rectal disorder and is as old as mankind. A large population of the world population is troubled with this disease which is due to inconsistency of the human diet and social obligations demanded by civilization. The management of 3rd degree haemorrhoids needs mainly a surgical approach. The Kshara-sutra ligation method of haemorrhoids is done by Ayurvedic surgeons but facing hardships in post ligation pain management. A complete Ayurvedic postoperative pain management is the need of every Ayurvedic surgeon. This study was carried out with an attempt to find an effective and safe Ayurvedic postoperative pain management and for this, 30 Patients who were undergone Kshara sutra ligation of haemorrhoids were selected from the from the IPD of Post Graduate of Department Shalya Tantra, Jammu Institute Of Ayurveda And Research Hospital, Nardani, Jammu. Selected patients were randomly divided into two groups each of 15 patients. For pain relief, the patients in Group A were administered with Diclofenac sodium, which is an established NSAID, in the dose of 50mg TDS orally where as the patients in Group B were administered with Triphala Guggulu and Gandhaka Rasayana in the dose of 450 mg TDS and 250 mg TDS orally respectively. Although satisfactory result obtained on all parameters with Triphala Guggulu and Gandhaka Rasayana but Diclofenac sodium is found statistically more significant.
