This paper analyzes the impact of knitwear's fiber composition, linear density and finishing of yarn used in the dimensional stability of the 1x1 RIB knitwear made on the same circular knitting machine. Dimensional stability of these samples was analysed by FAST 4 method. Different samples were compared across multiple indicators. The results show that the most stable dyed knitted fabric are made of cotton 96% and 4% of Lycra and of yarn with linear density 19.14 tex. Tightness factor's values in the dry relaxation stood at 17.90, in the wet 18.45, in total 18.73 and 18.59 in air conditioned terms. Knitwear with the highest values of dimensional instability are raw knitted fabric made of 100% CO, and yarn with linear density of 13.39 tex. Tightness factor's values in the dry relaxation stood at 12.16, in the wet 12.36, in total 13.26 and 13.35 in air conditioned terms

The domestic agro-food sector has an important role in economic development and in overall GDP growth. The concept of Agriculture 4.0 that integrates the use of information-communication technologies presents a direction in which the domestic agriculture sector should focus. Additionally, besides conducting business within the frameworks of Agriculture 4.0, the standardization of processes in the agro-food sector can also contribute to achieving competitiveness on the globalized market. In this paper the importance and number of ISO standards are investigated. In addition, factors and indicators that characterize Agriculture 4.0 are analysed. Based on the collected and analysed data, a unified competitiveness factor (UCF) is calculated for the period from 2017 to 2020. The UCF provides and overview on the potential competitiveness of the domestic agro-food sector. The paper contributes to the existing body of literature as it managed to provide a strong basis for future research in this domain.Publishe

The domestic agribusiness sector has an important role in economic development and in economic growth. The goal of the paper is to analyze potential influencing factors on sustainable agribusiness. The research methodology included qualitative correlation and causation analysis, categorization and deduction. Datasets from credible sources were analyzed a Sustainable Agribusiness Trend Index (SATI) model was developed. Through analyzing the existing body of literature, analyzing previous and newest available data in the domain of agriculture and macro-economic indicators, as well through the developed SATI model, potential future trends in the domain of sustainable agribusiness are noted. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that modern agribusiness requires a multi-aspect approach. Factors such as renewable water sources, human development index, GPD growth and many other present integral parts of sustainable agribusiness development.Accepted for publishin

CLUSTER DEVELOPMENT IN FUNCTION OF IMPROVING COMPETITIVENESS OF SMEs IN SERBIAN FOOD INDUSTRY

    No full text
Food industry is one of the branches that have the most potential in the Republic of Serbia. Small and medium companies (SMEs) in food industry can improve its competitive ability on the basis of clustering - entrepreneurs get what they had previously lacked: new knowledge, new technology, better access to credit lines, easier market performance, and completion of the production cycle, from primary producers to sell. Creating a cluster corresponds to primary producers who want to gain confidence in manufacturing and its placement. By combining the final clusters or provide the raw material whose quality can be affected

Socially responsible business and competitiveness in Serbia: Attitudes of students

    No full text
In this paper the authors attempt to point out the importance of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and its implementation in contemporary business. Also, the authors deal with competitiveness of enterprises, as well as activities that promote CSR in Serbia. Special significance is given to the review and analysis of research results of Serbian students' (young population) attitudes on CSR and competitiveness. Throughout a three-year period the research has included 1,990 of examinees. Most of the surveyed examinees were the students from four universities and business schools directed towards business and management. The research has been conducted with the structured questionnaire. Among the other facts, the research has shown that a great number of examinees were not informed of CSR. Students experience the Serbian economy as uncompetitive and have identified several factors that are responsible for the lack in development of competitiveness.
