The main objective of this thesis is to show how the production is handled in the construction of a condominium applying some concepts of lean construction. The theory of lean construction, definitions and theoretical framework, then show the application to Multifamily Residential Project Heredia, The project on which this thesis is based, is in the starting structures is presented in the first chapters, built by the CG company ASSOCIATED BUILDERS S.A.C. Besides tools proposed by the IGLC (International Group of Lean Construction), measuring actual performance of all activities in a format called ISP (Weekly Production Report) was taken whereupon specialization working personnel were shown. Finally a productivity study conducted at the Company ASSOCIATED BUILDERS CG SAC is displayed, In field the fulfillment of these plans has been verified and data was taken at field day, After concluding the period of fifteen weeks at work we proceeded to calculate the productivity obtained in the execution of each item of structures during this period. Finally it was found that the impact of the application of genre PRODUCTIVITY in the play “Residential Heredia” was positive increasing productivity set by the technical file. It is noteworthy that the lean philosophy spans the universe of project, from project definition, until use. This thesis has focused solely to the stage where more money is handled, the construction phase which Lean assembly called lossless and especially using basically jobsite productivity.Tesi

This project has been funded by Laboratorios Ordesa, S.L. Contract University of Granada General Foundation, No. 3349 and SMARTFOODS (CIEN) Contract University of Granada General Foundation, No. 4003, Spanish Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness. Furthermore, the project has been partially funded by HORIZON 2020 EU DynaHEALTH Project (GA No. 633595).Background: Adequate nutrient intake during the first few months of life plays a critical role on brain structure and function development. Objectives: To analyze the long-term effects of an experimental infant formula (EF) on neurocognitive function and brain structure in healthy children aged 6 years compared to those fed with a standard infant formula or breastfed. Methods: The current study involved 108 healthy children aged 6 years and participating in the COGNIS Study. At 0–2 months, infants were randomized to receive up to 18 months of life a standard infant formula (SF) or EF enriched with milk fat globule membrane (MFGM), long-chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (LC-PUFAs) and synbiotics. Furthermore, a reference group of breastfed (BF) infants were also recruited. Children were assessed using neurocognitive tests and structural Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) at 6 years old. Results: Experimental infant formula (EF) children showed greater volumes in the left orbital cortex, higher vocabulary scores and IQ, and better performance in an attention task than BF children. EF children also presented greater volumes in parietal regions than SF kids. Additionally, greater cortical thickness in the insular, parietal, and temporal areas were found in children from the EF group than those fed with SF or BF groups. Further correlation analyses suggest that higher volumes and cortical thickness of different parietal and frontal regions are associated with better cognitive development in terms of language (verbal comprehension) and executive function (working memory). Finally, arachidonic acid (ARA), adrenic acid (AdA), docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) levels in cheek cell glycerophospholipids, ARA/DHA ratio, and protein, fatty acid, and mineral intake during the first 18 months of life seem to be associated with changes in the brain structures at 6 years old. Conclusions: Supplemented infant formula with MFGM components, LC-PUFAs, and synbiotics seems to be associated to long-term effects on neurocognitive development and brain structure in children at 6 years old.Laboratorios OrdesaContract University of Granada General Foundation 3349SMARTFOODS (CIEN) Contract University of Granada General Foundation 4003Spanish Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness. GEOLOGICAL EVALUATION AND PROSPECTIVITY SINÚ - URABÁ SECTOR ABSTRACT The Sinú - Urabá special area consists of four tectonic provinces. They are identified from East to West as Lower Magdalena Valley Basin (LMV), San Jacinto Fold Belt (SJFB), Sinú Fold Belt (SFB) and Urabá Basin and 46.300 Km2. The Lower Magdalena Valley is a basin with distensive tectonics which was a product of transtension; the identified plays correspond to compressional folds (over the west border of the basin), reservoir truncations due to faults, overstepping of the reservoir against the basement and basement highs. The San Jacinto Fold Belt shows transpressive tectonics that generates rough flake reverse faults with dextral strike-slip, the plays correspond to compressional folds, reservoir truncations due to faults and locally-filled truncations of channels in incision valleys. The Sinú Folded Belt is formed by not very clear structural and tectonic processes; and it is deformed by mud intense diapirism; the plays correspond to folds associated to early formation stages of mud diapirs, which do no break the sequence completely, reservoir truncations against the diapirs and due to sinde-positional discordances. The Urabá Province is subject to sinistral transpressure with development of high angle reverse faults, the identified plays correspond to facies wedging, reef growth and folds formed by reverse faults. Key words: Petroleum Geology, Petroleum System, Prospectivity, Plays, Geochemistry, Structural Geology. &nbsp

Multi-proxy record of the Chicxulub impact at the Cretaceous-Paleogene boundary from Gorgonilla Island, Colombia

No full text
A 40 m stratigraphic section at Gorgonilla Island, Colombia, provides a unique deepmarine, low-latitude, Southern Hemisphere record of events related to the end-Cretaceous Chicxulub impact and the global Cretaceous/Paleogene boundary (KPB). The KPB is marked by a 20-mm-thick, densely packed spherule bed as defined by planktic foraminifera, in contrast to complex relationships found in high-energy, impact-proximal sites in the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean basins. The absence of basal Danian foraminiferal Zone P0 may indicate a possible hiatus of <10 ka immediately above the spherule bed, but is most probably an artifact of deposition below the calcite compensation depth as suggested by the nearly complete absence of calcareous fossils for 20 m below the Zone Pα. A weighted mean 40Ar/39Ar age of 66.051 ± 0.031 Ma for 25 fresh glassy spherules unequivocally establishes both their derivation from Chicxulub, and the association between the impact and the KPB. The spherule bed, and Maastrichtian strata below it, display soft-sediment deformation features consistent with strong seismic motion, suggesting that seismic activity in the immediate aftermath of the Chicxulub impact continued for weeks. We discovered a fern-spike immediately above the spherule bed, representing the first record of this pioneer vegetation from the South American continent, and from a low-latitude (tropical) environment. This study is a contribution to project CGL2015–64422-P (MINECO/FEDER-UE, Spanish Ministry of Economy, Industry and Competitiveness and the European Fund for Regional Development).
