Tire Experiments on Static Adhesor for Obtaining the Radial Stiffness Value

The paper deals with static experiments of tires on a test machine for tires – static adhesor. The radial stiffness value of tires is obtained from the radial deformation characteristics from experiments on static adhesor. The new formula for radial stiffness value is described in the paper. This formula takes into account more real operating conditions during the loading of tires. The paper describes static experiment of selected tire on static adhesor and its results. We have compared three different tires with different radius and profile numbers. Knowledge about stiffness and information from tire experiments is necessary for the verification analyses between experiment data and computational results from computational modeling by Finite Element Method

Transformation of the US counterinsurgency doctrine in its clash with the global Islamist insurgency The September 11 attacks pointed to the emergence of the new threat for the US. Terrorist, who stood behind the attacks were not an isolated group, but belonged to the large variety of groups, movements and organizations, which David Kilcullen described as global insurgency. United States clashed with this insurgency within the Global war on terrorism, mainly on the battlefields in Afghanistan and Iraq. The Thesis Transformation of the US counterinsurgency doctrine in its clash with the global Islamist insurgency examines how US reacted to this clash. The aim of the thesis is to capture the transformation of American way of waging war against terrorism during the combat with global insurgency. The research is divided into the three levels: political-ideological, military-strategic and operational-tactical. There are key factors determined at every level and their transformation in the period between 2001 and 2011 is being observed. Teroristé, kteří za útokem stáli nebyli izolovaná skupina, ale patřili do široké palety skupin, organizací a hnutí, které David Kilcullen označuje jako islamistické globální povstání. USA se s tímto povstáním utkaly v rámci globální války proti terorismu, především na bojištích v Afghánistánu a Iráku. Cílem práce tedy je zachytit proměnu amerického způsobu vedení války proti terorismu během střetu s globálním povstáním. Altitude meter for RC models

Výškoměr měří atmosférický tlak a z něho vypočítá aktuální nadmořskou výšku modelu. Data odesílá pomocí ZigBee do pozemního modulu, který je na displeji zobrazí. Pozemní modul obsahuje rozhraní USB pro připojení k PC. To umožní upload letových dat a jejich zobrazení v grafické podobě.Altimeter measures atmospheric air pressure and counts actual model altitude from it. Jan Beneš Strategická kultura České republiky Abstrakt Dizertační práce si klade za cíl komplexním způsobem definovat strategickou kulturu České republiky. Strategická kultura je nejprve analyzována jako konceptuální fenomén, jak ve vztahu k pojmu strategie, tak skrze její postavení v teorii mezinárodních vztahů. V práci jsou postupně představeny jednotlivé proudy uvažování o strategické kultuře a srovnány přístupy klíčových autorů, kteří se tímto konceptem zabývají, s důrazem na diskusi mezi jejich první a třetí generací. Vzhledem k faktu, že strategická kultura byla vytvořena a používána především jako nástroj k pochopení a vysvětlení chování strategicky a geopoliticky významných států, autor analyzuje historická a geostrategická specifika malého státu ve střední Evropě a následně definuje vlastní konceptuální a metodologický rámec studia strategické kultury. Competence 4.0: self-assessment of competences related to the 4th industrial revolution in selected students from the Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Science of Charles University

(in English) The master's thesis addresses the topic of measuring competencies associated with the 4th industrial revolution or Industry 4.0 among a sample of bachelor students from the Faculty of Science and Faculty of Arts at Charles University. The aim of the thesis is to create and test a model of competencies related to the 4th industrial revolution. A sub-objective is to compare the self-assessed competency levels among the sample of bachelor students based on faculty, study program, and academic year. The thesis includes a focus group and a questionnaire survey, in which a total of 863 bachelor students from the Faculty of Science and Faculty of Arts participated. The model of competencies related to the 4th industrial revolution is tested using confirmatory factor analysis, and differences in the levels of individual competencies are analyzed among the sample of students using parametric and non-parametric methods. Confirmatory factor analysis with WLSMV estimation demonstrated that the hierarchical model of competencies is in good agreement with the collected data (CFI = 0.973, TLI = 0.967, RSMEA = 0.055, SRMR = 0.058), and it can be applied in measuring competencies. The results of comparing self-assessed competencies indicate that there are no statistically significant differences in the...Diplomová práce se věnuje tématu měření kompetencí spojených se 4. průmyslovou revolucí nebo průmyslem 4.0 u vzorku bakalářských studentů z přírodovědecké a filozofické fakulty Univerzity Karlovy. Cílem práce je vytvoření a otestování modelu kompetencí spojených se 4. průmyslovou revolucí. Dílčím cílem je porovnávání úrovně sebehodnocených kompetencí u vzorku bakalářských studentů dle fakulty, studijního programu a ročníku. V práci je realizována fokusní skupina a dotazníkové šetření, kterého se celkem účastnilo 863 bakalářských studentů z přírodovědecké a filozofické fakulty. Model kompetencí spojených se 4. průmyslovou revolucí je testován pomocí konfirmační faktorové analýzy a rozdíly v úrovních jednotlivých kompetencí jsou u vzorku studentů analyzovány pomocí parametrických a neparametrických metod. Konfirmační faktorová analýza s využitým odhadem WLSMV prokázala, že hierarchický model kompetencí je v dobré shodě s naměřenými daty (CFI = 0.973, TLI = 0.967, RSMEA = 0.055, SRMR = 0.058) a je možné ho aplikovat při měření kompetencí. Spatio-temporal aspects of emerging "edge cities" in Prague metropolitan region

Fenomén edge city má své kořeny v amerických metropolitních oblastech. V současnosti se podobné městské formy rovněž nachází i v jiných vyspělých městech. Transformace odehrávající se v post-socialistických metropolích od počátku 90. let zapříčinily vznik nových socio-prostorových forem v suburbánní oblasti Pražského městského regionu. Případová studie komerčního areálu Čestlice-Průhonice poukazuje na nově vytvořené koncentrace rozvinutých služeb v prostoru pražského suburbia, což má za následek vyšší výskyt populace a dopravy během dne. Hlavním cílem této práce je nalézt časovou dimenzi vnějších prostorových vazeb komerčního areálu pomocí analýzy denního rytmu dopravy. Jako nástroj k tomu využívá metody přímého pozorování projíždějících vozidel a jejich registračních značek. Výzkumem byla dokázána regionální významnost tohoto areálu. V této bakalářské práci je čtenáři ukázáno, že nové socio-prostorové formy v pražském suburbiu jsou důležitým předmětem dalšího studia geografie. Similar urban formations currently also appear in other developed cities. Transformations in post-socialist cities starting in early 90th caused the emergence of new socio-spatial formations in suburban area of Prague metropolitan area. The case study of commercial zone Čestlice-Průhonice shows the newly created cluster of advanced services in Prague suburban area resulting in high concentration of daily population and vehicles. The main aim of this study is to uncover the time dimension of outer-spatial relations of the commercial zone by analyzing the daily rhythm of transportation. The method of direct observation of passing vehicles and its registration numbers is used. Furthermore, it has been proved that the commercial area has a regional significance. In this thesis, new socio-spacial formations in suburban fringe of Prague are ilustrated as an important subject for further geographic research.
