Naturality of the -Categorical Enriched Yoneda Embedding
We make Hinich's -categorical enriched Yoneda embedding natural. To
do so, we exhibit it as the unit of a partial adjunction between the functor
taking enriched presheaves and Heine's functor taking a tensored category to an
enriched category. Furthermore, we study a finiteness condition of objects in a
tensored category called being atomic, and show that the partial adjunction
restricts to a (non-partial) adjunction between taking enriched presheaves and

Higher Semiadditive Algebraic K-Theory and Redshift
We define higher semiadditive algebraic K-theory, a variant of algebraic
K-theory that takes into account higher semiadditive structure, as enjoyed for
example by the - and -local categories. We prove that it satisfies
a form of the redshift conjecture. Namely, that if is a ring spectrum of
height , then its semiadditive K-theory is of height . Under
further hypothesis on , which are satisfied for example by the Lubin-Tate
spectrum , we show that its semiadditive algebraic K-theory is of height
exactly . Finally, we connect semiadditive K-theory to -localized
K-theory, showing that they coincide for any -invertible ring spectrum and

Pitch memory and exposure effects.
Recent studies indicate that the ability to represent absolute pitch values in long-term memory (LTM), long believed to be the possession of a small minority of trained musicians endowed with "absolute pitch" (AP), is in fact shared to some extent by a considerable proportion of the population. The current study examined whether this newly-discovered ability affects aspects of music and auditory cognition, particularly pitch learning and evaluation. Our starting points are two well established premises: (1) frequency of occurrence has an influence on the way we process stimuli; (2) in Western music, some pitches and musical keys are much more frequent than others. Based on these premises, we hypothesize that if absolute pitch values are indeed represented in LTM, pitch frequency of occurrence in music would significantly affect cognitive processes, in particular pitch learning and evaluation. Two experiments were designed to test this hypothesis in participants with no AP,
most with little or no musical training. Experiment 1 demonstrated a faster response and a learning advantage for frequent pitches over infrequent pitches in an identification task. In Experiment 2 participants evaluated infrequent pitches as more pleasing than frequent pitches
when presented in isolation. These results suggest that absolute pitch representation in memory may play a substantial, hitherto unacknowledged role in auditory (and specifically musical) cognition
Descent and Cyclotomic Redshift for Chromatically Localized Algebraic K-theory
We prove that -localized algebraic -theory satisfies descent for
-finite -group actions on stable -categories of chromatic
height up to , extending a result of Clausen-Mathew-Naumann-Noel for
-groups. Using this, we show that it sends -local Galois extensions to
-local Galois extensions. Furthermore, we show that it sends cyclotomic
extensions of height to cyclotomic extensions of height , extending a
result of Bhatt-Clausen-Mathew for . As a consequence, we deduce that
-localized -theory satisfies hyperdescent along the cyclotomic tower
of any -local ring. Counterexamples to such cyclotomic hyperdescent for
-localized -theory were constructed by Burklund, Hahn, Levy and the

High incidence of Noonan syndrome features including short stature and pulmonic stenosis in patients carrying NF1 missense mutations affecting p.Arg1809: genotype-phenotype correlation
Neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) is one of the most frequent genetic disorders, affecting 1:3,000 worldwide. Identification of genotype-phenotype correlations is challenging because of the wide range clinical variability, the progressive nature of the disorder, and extreme diversity of the mutational spectrum. We report 136 individuals with a distinct phenotype carrying one of five different NF1 missense mutations affecting p.Arg1809. Patients presented with multiple cafe-au-lait macules (CALM) with or without freckling and Lisch nodules, but no externally visible plexiform neurofibromas or clear cutaneous neurofibromas were found. About 25% of the individuals had Noonan-like features. Pulmonic stenosis and short stature were significantly more prevalent compared with classic cohorts (P<0.0001). Developmental delays and/or learning disabilities were reported in over 50% of patients. Melanocytes cultured from a CALM in a segmental NF1-patient showed two different somatic NF1 mutations, p.Arg1809Cys and a multi-exon deletion, providing genetic evidence that p.Arg1809Cys is a loss-of-function mutation in the melanocytes and causes a pigmentary phenotype. Constitutional missense mutations at p.Arg1809 affect 1.23% of unrelated NF1 probands in the UAB cohort, therefore this specific NF1 genotype-phenotype correlation will affect counseling and management of a significant number of patients

Do You Name Speedy Objects Faster Than Slow Objects: SPEEDED NAMING OR NAMING SPEED? THE AUTOMATIC EFFECT OF OBJECT SPEED ON PERFORMANCE
we test the hypothesis that naming an object depicted in a picture, and reading aloud an object’s name, are affected by the object’s speed. We contend that the mental representations of everyday objects and situations include their speed, and that the latter influences behavior in instantaneous and systematic ways. An important corollary is that high-speed objects are named faster than low-speed objects despite the fact that object speed is irrelevant to the naming task at hand.
