Abstract: Circular signed by Harry Belafonte on behalf of SNCC, describing the recent murder of Sammy Younge, Jr., in Tuskegee, Alabama.Scope and Content Note: A circular letter written and distributed by Harry Belafonte and the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee. It describes the January 3, 1966, murder of Sammy Younge, Jr., an African American student and member of SNCC, who was killed by a gas station attendant in Tuskegee, Alabama, for protesting the segregated restrooms at the gas station.
