La Música, Herramienta para el Fortalecimiento de Valores en la Educación Básica
The intention of the study consisted of designing alternatives of education learning using the urban music as tool for the strengthening value in the students of 3er degree of the School Bolivariana “Rural Housing” been Trujillo. The study based on a descriptive investigation a design of not experimental field. The units of analysis she was constituted by six (06) teachers who give classes in the third degree. In the obtained results it achieved to demonstrate that the teachers of 3er degree use different strategies in the classroom of class, which is favorable in the learning of the children; nevertheless, the music is not taken in account as a tool of education in the educational process. It is for it that, an offer was realized on the part of the investigator designing activities tending to improve the education - learning value, as well as to motivate the students to realizing his own musical creations departing from the daily experiences.El propósito del estudio consistió en diseñar alternativas de enseñanza-aprendizaje utilizando la música urbana como herramienta para el fortalecimiento de valores en los estudiantes del 3er grado de la Escuela Bolivariana “Vivienda Rural” estado Trujillo. El estudio se basó en una investigación descriptiva un diseño de campo no experimental. Las unidades de análisis la constituyeron seis (06) docentes que imparten clases en tercer grado. En los resultados obtenidos se logró evidenciar que los docentes del 3er grado hacen uso de distintas estrategias en el aula de clase, lo cual es favorable en el aprendizaje de los niños; sin embargo, la música no es tomada en cuenta como una herramienta de enseñanza en el proceso educativo. Es por ello que, se realizó una propuesta por parte del investigador diseñando actividades tendientes a mejorar la enseñanza-aprendizaje de valores, así como motivar a los estudiantes a realizar sus propias creaciones musicales partiendo de las vivencias diarias

QSO B0218+357 is a gravitationally lensed blazar located at a
cosmological redshift of 0.944. In July 2014 a GeV flare was observed by
Fermi-LAT, triggering follow-up observations with the MAGIC telescopes
at energies above 100 GeV. The MAGIC observations at the expected time
of arrival of the trailing component resulted in the first detection of
QSO B0218+ 357 in Very-High-Energy (VHE, >100 GeV) gamma rays. We
report here the observed multiwavelength emission during the 2014 flare.</p

PKS1510-089 is a flat spectrum radio quasar located at a redshift of 0.36. It is one of only a few such sources detected in very-high-energy (VHE, >100 GeV) gamma rays. Though PKS1510-089 is highly variable at GeV energies, until recently no variability has been observed in the VHE band. In 2015 May PKS1510-089 showed a high state in optical and in the GeV range. A VHE gamma-ray flare was detected with MAGIC at that time, showing the first instance of VHE gamma-ray flux variability on the time scale of days in this source. We will present the MAGIC results from this observation, discuss their temporal and spectral properties in the multi-wavelength context and present modelling of such emission in the external Compton scenario.</p
A Reemerging Bright Soft X-Ray State of the Changing-look Active Galactic Nucleus 1ES 1927+654:A Multiwavelength View
1ES1927+654 is a nearby active galactic nucleus (AGN) that has shown an enigmatic outburst in optical/UV followed by X-rays, exhibiting strange variability patterns at timescales of months to years. Here we report the unusual X-ray, UV, and radio variability of the source in its postflare state (2022 January–2023 May). First, we detect an increase in the soft X-ray (0.3–2 keV) flux from 2022 May to 2023 May by almost a factor of 5, which we call the bright soft state. The hard X-ray 2–10 keV flux increased by a factor of 2, while the UV flux density did not show any significant changes (≤30%) in the same period. The integrated energy pumped into the soft and hard X-rays during this period of 11 months is ∼3.57 × 10 ^50 erg and 5.9 × 10 ^49 erg, respectively. From the energetics, it is evident that whatever is producing the soft excess (SE) is pumping out more energy than either the UV or hard X-ray source. Since the energy source presumably is ultimately the accretion of matter onto the supermassive black hole, the SE-emitting region must be receiving the majority of this energy. In addition, the source does not follow the typical disk–corona relation found in AGNs, neither in the initial flare (from 2017 to 2019) nor in the current bright soft state (2022–2023). We found that the core (<1 pc) radio emission at 5 GHz gradually increased until 2022 March, but showed a dip in 2022 August. The Güdel–Benz relation ( L _radio / L _X-ray ∼ 10 ^−5 ), however, is still within the expected range for radio-quiet AGNs, and further follow-up radio observations are currently being undertaken
RICORS2040 : The need for collaborative research in chronic kidney disease
Chronic kidney disease (CKD) is a silent and poorly known killer. The current concept of CKD is relatively young and uptake by the public, physicians and health authorities is not widespread. Physicians still confuse CKD with chronic kidney insufficiency or failure. For the wider public and health authorities, CKD evokes kidney replacement therapy (KRT). In Spain, the prevalence of KRT is 0.13%. Thus health authorities may consider CKD a non-issue: very few persons eventually need KRT and, for those in whom kidneys fail, the problem is 'solved' by dialysis or kidney transplantation. However, KRT is the tip of the iceberg in the burden of CKD. The main burden of CKD is accelerated ageing and premature death. The cut-off points for kidney function and kidney damage indexes that define CKD also mark an increased risk for all-cause premature death. CKD is the most prevalent risk factor for lethal coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) and the factor that most increases the risk of death in COVID-19, after old age. Men and women undergoing KRT still have an annual mortality that is 10- to 100-fold higher than similar-age peers, and life expectancy is shortened by ~40 years for young persons on dialysis and by 15 years for young persons with a functioning kidney graft. CKD is expected to become the fifth greatest global cause of death by 2040 and the second greatest cause of death in Spain before the end of the century, a time when one in four Spaniards will have CKD. However, by 2022, CKD will become the only top-15 global predicted cause of death that is not supported by a dedicated well-funded Centres for Biomedical Research (CIBER) network structure in Spain. Realizing the underestimation of the CKD burden of disease by health authorities, the Decade of the Kidney initiative for 2020-2030 was launched by the American Association of Kidney Patients and the European Kidney Health Alliance. Leading Spanish kidney researchers grouped in the kidney collaborative research network Red de Investigación Renal have now applied for the Redes de Investigación Cooperativa Orientadas a Resultados en Salud (RICORS) call for collaborative research in Spain with the support of the Spanish Society of Nephrology, Federación Nacional de Asociaciones para la Lucha Contra las Enfermedades del Riñón and ONT: RICORS2040 aims to prevent the dire predictions for the global 2040 burden of CKD from becoming true
One-year changes in fruit and vegetable variety intake and cardiometabolic risk factors changes in a middle-aged Mediterranean population at high cardiovascular risk
Background and aims Previous studies have shown beneficial associations between fruit and vegetable (FV) consumption and cardiometabolic risk factors. However, variety in FV, which may play an important role on cardiovascular health due to the different nutrient and phytochemical content among the different groups and subgroups of FV has been poorly investigated. We longitudinally investigated associations between 1-year changes in variety and quantity of FV and concurrent changes in cardiometabolic risk factors in elderly subjects with overweight/obesity and metabolic syndrome. Methods a one-year data longitudinal analysis of 6647 PREDIMED-plus study participants (48% women) was conducted. Data were collected at baseline, six months and 1-year of follow-up. Variety and quantity of FV were estimated using a food frequency questionnaire and continuous scores for variety were created based on items/month of FV. Linear mixed-models adjusted for potential confounders were performed to estimate associations (β-coefficients and 95% confidence interval) between 1-year changes in FV variety and/or quantity and concurrent changes in cardiometabolic risk factors. Results Two points increment in the FV variety score over one year was associated with a concurrent decrease in glucose (−0.33 mg/dL (0.58, −0.07)), body weight (−0.07 kg (−0.13, −0.02)) and waist circumference (WC) (−0.08 cm (−0.16, −10.01)). An increment of 100 g/d of FV over one year was associated with a concurrent decrease in triglycerides (−0.50 mg/dL (−0.93, −0.08)), glucose (−0.21 mg/dL (−0.32, −0.11)), body weight (−0.11 kg (−0.15, −0.07)) and WC (−0.10 cm (−0.14, −0.06)) over 1-year. Changes in FV consumption which led to higher quantity and variety over one year were associated with downward changes in glucose (−1.26 mg/dL (−2.09, −0.43)), body weight (−0.40 kg (−0.58, −0.23)) and WC (−0.50 cm (−0.73, −0.28)). Conclusion Greater variety, in combination with higher quantity of FV was significantly associated with a decrease in several cardiometabolic risk factors among elderly subjects at high cardiovascular risk

What do we learn from the most extreme AGNs?
<p>Only around 60 AGNs have been detected so far at Very High Energy (VHE, E>100 GeV) gamma rays, most of them being blazars. Among them only five Flat Spectrum Radio Quasars (FSRQs) have been observed in the VHE band, all of them detected by the MAGIC telescopes. Despite the difficulty of their detection, FSRQs offer a unique physics scenario to test the AGN structure thanks to their intrinsic gamma-ray absorption within their Broad Line Region (BLR). Gamma-ray blazars are one of the most powerful accelerators of the Universe, and besides the study of their intrinsic properties, blazars can be used as cosmic lighthouses to probe the cosmic backgrounds as the extragalactic background light (EBL). We will present an overview of the study of VHE FSRQs in a multi-wavelength context as well as the VHE blazar role on cosmological studies. The results will be presented in light of the future Cherenkov Telescope Array (CTA) which northern observatory will be based in La Palma.</p
