ICC = 0.76-0.96; rango SEM = 33.5-39.6 N y rango MD = 92.8-98.7 N) al igual que la potencia
media (rango ICC = 0.70-0.94 rango SEM = 12.5-24.9 W y rango MD = 34.6-68.9 W).
evaluaciones a nuestros deportistas.
A kinetic and Kinematic analysis in two assessment situation with bench press. Free Weight vs Smith Machine. Project pilot.
This pilot study examines the most relevant kinetic and kinematics variables in two bench press exercises; Smith Machine (PMS) vs. free weights (PBL). Two trained subjects participated in the research following informed consent. To determine the maximum load (1- RM), two incremental protocols were used for PMS and PBL. Subject 1 (S-1) produced force values of 770N and 837N, peak force of 28ms and 12ms, in PBL and PMS respectively. Values for subject 2 (S-2) were 693N and 849N, PMF of 60ms and 66ms for PBL and PMS respectively. Detailed analyses of the following variables were performed; velocity curves for each load, the “sticking period”, the distances of grip width, and changes in bar inclination during the ascent phase of the lift were examined. The key findings of this research, and the basis for future research demonstrate that PBL is recommended as a training exercise, while more reliable information regarding force variables can be attained through using PMS in measurement sessions.peerReviewe
COVAD survey 2 long-term outcomes: unmet need and protocol
Vaccine hesitancy is considered a major barrier to achieving herd immunity against COVID-19. While multiple alternative and synergistic approaches including heterologous vaccination, booster doses, and antiviral drugs have been developed, equitable vaccine uptake remains the foremost strategy to manage pandemic. Although none of the currently approved vaccines are live-attenuated, several reports of disease flares, waning protection, and acute-onset syndromes have emerged as short-term adverse events after vaccination. Hence, scientific literature falls short when discussing potential long-term effects in vulnerable cohorts. The COVAD-2 survey follows on from the baseline COVAD-1 survey with the aim to collect patient-reported data on the long-term safety and tolerability of COVID-19 vaccines in immune modulation. The e-survey has been extensively pilot-tested and validated with translations into multiple languages. Anticipated results will help improve vaccination efforts and reduce the imminent risks of COVID-19 infection, especially in understudied vulnerable groups
Introduction: The team sports are characterized by short periods of preparation and competitive
long periods. Keep a tight check and with scientific rigor is no easy task. In this
experience it was to perform both. Although different protocols were made to determine
the fitness or operational status of our players, here is going to present the results in an
upper body exercise. Objective: The purpose of this research was to analyze the reliability
(test-retest) of a protocol incremental loads up to the 1RM in the bench press exercise in
Smith machine. We also analyzed the stability or range of reliability of the average power
and peak force. Method: This protocol incremental load strength testing (+10 kg> 0.5 m rep.) Was conducted in twice with
a minimum recovery time of 72 hours. All players were instructed to move the load at
maximum speed in each attempt. The test ended when subjects reached their 1RM (0.16 ±
0.4 m s-1). Twelve third division footballers participated voluntarily in this study (mean
and standard deviation of height, weight and age: 180.8 ± 5.6 cm, 72.4 ± 5.72 kg, 24.4 ±
5.72 years, respectively). For the analysis of test-retest reliability index was used intraclass
correlation (ICC2, 1), the standard error of measurement (SEM) and minimal differences
(MD). Results: The results in terms of the maximum load shifted 1RM shows high testretest
reliability (ICC = 0.96, SEM = 3.56 kg MD = 9.8 kg). Peak force has a test-retest
fiablili moderately high (ICC = 0.76 to 0.96 range, range = 33.5-39.6 N SEM and range
Movimiento humano 4/2012, 25-35. ISSN: 2014-3060 27
= 92.8-98.7 N MD) as the average power (range =.70 to.94 range ICC SEM and range
= 12.5-24.9 W MD = 34.6-68.9 W). Conclusions: The incremental protocol used in the
present investigation provides a reliable, the maximum offset load. Conducting tests allow
test-retest calibrate loads properly after the results of the assessments to our athletes.
The information it provides is very interesting and useful because it facilitates training
areas to consider depending on the manifestation of the force wants to encourage between
evaluation periods or re-calibration of the load. Using test-retest testing allows more accurately
adjust loads over different planning periods.

A descriptive study was designed to explore differences in strength, power and velocity in an incremental load protocol in bench press (PB), to obtain an indicator to catalogue a subject as trained or untrained in the PB exercise.. Thirty male subjects consisted two groups, trained group, consisted of the participants whose one repetition maximum (1RM) exceeded his body weight (BW) and untrained group consisted of participants whose 1RM was less than their BW. The value of 1RM was 82.33 ± 11.09 kg and 59.67 ± 5.16 kg, in the trained and untrained groups, respectively. The indicator of the level of strength (kg 1RM / kg BW) in the trained group was greater than 1, and lower in the untrained group.

The effects of the Nordic hamstring exercise on sprint performance and eccentric knee flexor strength: A systematic review and meta-analysis of intervention studies among team sport players
Objectives: The primary aim of this study was to investigate the effects of the Nordic hamstring exercise (NHE) on sprint performance (i.e., 5, 10 and 20 m) and explore associations between study characteristics and sprint outcomes in team sport players. Secondary aims were to (1) investigate the effects of the NHE on eccentric strength of the knee flexors (ESKF) with categorical subgroup analysis to determine differences between recreationally, well-trained individuals and young athletes, (2) determine the relation between ESKF and sprint performance in team sport players, and (3) explore the effect of study characteristics (i.e., weekly volume, time duration and body mass) on ESKF.Methods: Electronic databases were searched until the 20th of June 2020. 17 studies met the inclusion criteria. Random-effects meta-analyses were used to determine the mean difference (MD) or standardized change of mean difference (SCMD) between NHE and control group for sprint time and ESKF, respectively. Results: NHE interventions showed a positive effect on sprint performance (-0.04 s [-0.08, -0.01]). Sub-group meta-analyses indicated no significant differences in 5 and 20 m sprint performance (MDsprint(5m)= -0.02 s [-0.10, 0.06]) and (MD (sprint(20m))= -0.05 s [-0.30, 0.19]), respectively. A significant difference was however found for 10 m sprint performance (MDsprint(10m) = -0.06 s [-0.10, -0.01]). Meta-analysis on the effects of the NHE on ESKF showed a significant benefit of 0.83 SCMD [0.55, 1.12] in favour of the intervention group. Conclusions: Studies with some concerns or high risk of bias show that training programs involving the NHE can have small beneficial effects on sprint performance in team sport players. Studies with some concerns or high risk of bias showed moderate beneficial effects on ESKF among a sample of relatively untrained individuals. However, for well-trained team sport players, the improvements in ESKF were less consistent, suggesting a higher training intensity during the NHE may be required to induce adaptations. Effects of ankle position during the Nordic Hamstring exercise on range of motion, heel contact force and hamstring muscle activation
One of the main benefits of the Nordic Hamstring Exercise (NHE) is that it can be performed without the need of any extra material. However, numerous technical execution variables such as the ankle and pelvis position can influence the performance. The primary aims of this study were to investigate the effects of ankle position (i.e., plantar or dorsal flexion) on Nordic Hamstring Break Point (NHBP), repetition time and heel contact force. A secondary aim was to investigate differences in biceps femoris long head and semitendinosus muscle activation. Male professional field hockey players (n = 12) volunteered for the study. Paired t-tests were used to analyse the effect of ankle position on muscle NHBP, eccentric peak torque and repetition time. Ankle dorsal flexion resulted in a higher NHBP (p = 0.002, effect size [ES] = 1.48 [0.57 to 2.38]), repetition time (p = 0.004, ES = 0.98 [0.24 to 1.72]) and both absolute and relative heel contact force (p = 0.028, ES = 0.67 [0.01 to 1.34], p = 0.017, ES = 0.76 [0.07 to 1.44], respectively) compared to plantar flexion. Muscle activation was not significant different. This study showed a higher NHBP, absolute and relative heel contact force and repetition time with a dorsal flexed ankle vs. a plantar flexed ankle in the NHE, without changes in hamstrings muscle activation
