Numerical representations of protein sequences for classification

    Get PDF
Todays we have the opportunity to analyze huge sets of genomics and proteomics data. In my bachaleor thesis I introduce a few numerical alternatives to represent proteins. The usage of numerical representations opened the way to analyze proteomics data as digital signals, which bring us quantity of new possibilities how to process the protein. In my thesis I compare a few numerical representation with standard taxonomy and with symbolic representation too.

    Dynamics of an artificial slope

    Get PDF
summary:The slope shape is replaced by a 3D regression function which corresponds with high precision to the position of several hundred points which were determined on the surface of the slope body. The position of several points was repeatedly measured for several years. The time changes in the position of these points were used to create regression functions that describe vertical movements, {\em slope settlement} and horizontal movements, {\em slope movement}. The model results are presented in the form of mathematical relationships and visualized in the program Maple environment

Visualisation of the electromagnetic vector fields

    Get PDF
summary:Modern computer algebra software can be used to visualize vector fields. One of the most used is the Maple program. This program is used to visualize two and three-dimensional vector fields. The possibilities of plotting direction vectors, lines of force, equipotential curves and the method of colouring the surface area for two-dimensional cases are shown step by step. For three-dimensional arrays, these methods are applied to various slices of three-dimensional space, such as a plane or a cylindrical surface. Finally, the temporal evolution of the vector fields is illustrated by animations based on the above methods. In contrast to the publication [2], which deals only with the problem of colouring vector fields, the present paper makes a completely comprehensive study of the problem, including the representation of vectors in a predefined network, the computation of the shape of power lines, and the animation of time changes, including the animation of the coloured vector fields

    GAL Framework

GAL (GIS or GRASS? Abstraction Layer) Framework is meant to be multiplatform OpenSource library with certain tools and subsidiary daemons for easy implementation of distributed modules for GIS GRASS in static or dynamic programming languages. This article aims to present some ideas behind this library and bait a fresh meat for this project since its complexity needs more spread development team not just single person. Project homepage can be found at http://gal-framework.no-ip.org
