A természetes immunitás szabályozási zavarainak hatása a terhesség kimenetelére = The effect of disturbed regulation of innate immunity on the outcome of pregnancy

Ismert, hogy a terhesség egészséges kiviseléséhez az immunrendszer lokális aktivációja és a terhes méh trophoblaszt sejtjein kifejeződő magzati antigének felismerése szükséges. Ebben az érzékenyen szabályozott rendszerben a természetes immunitás sejtjei a legmeghatározóbbak. Munkánk során az NK, NKT és a gamma/delta T sejtek megjelenését és funkcióját vizsgáltuk egészséges terhes nők deciduális mintáiban, ill. egészséges és pathológiás terhesek vagy In Vitro Fertilizáción (IVF) átesett nők perifériás vérében. Eredményeink szerint a gamma/delta T sejtek nem csak a II. és III. trimeszterben, hanem a megtermékenyített petesejt beágyazódásának kontrollálásában ill. a szülés megindulásában is fontos szerepet játszanak. További munkánk igazolta, hogy toxaemiában szenvedő pathológiás terhesek perifériás vérében keringő gamma/delta ill. NKT sejtek megváltozott, Th1 dominanciával járó funkciója pedig a betegség kialakításában játszik szerepet. Elsők között vizsgáltuk a CD160 NK sejt aktiváló receptor megjelenését terhesség során. Adataink szerint a V-delta2+ T sejteken kifejeződő CD160 receptornak szerepe lehet a terhesség egészséges kiviselésében. IVF beavatkozás előtt a perifériás NKT sejteken detektált CD160 receptor pedig akár pozitív prediktív értékű is lehet az eljárás sikerét illetően. Összefoglalva elmondhatjuk, hogy munkánk során további ismeretekkel szolgáltunk a természetes immunitás sejtjeinek a terhesség alatti immunregulációban betöltött szerepére vonatkozóan. | For carrying human pregnancy to term an immunological crosstalk between mother and fetus is needed. As members of innate immunity NK cells, NKT cells and gamma/delta T cells are highly implicated in this precise feto-maternal immunoregulation. In our study we analyzed the phenotype and function of these cells in the decidua of healthy pregnant women and in the peripheral blood of healthy and pathological pregnant women or women underwent assisted reproduction (In Vitro Fertilization: IVF). Our data showed that gamma/delta T cells play an important regulatory and effector role not only during the 2nd and 3rd trimester but at the onset of delivery or during implantation in the decidua. Further experiments confirmed the Th1 character of gamma/delta and NKT cells during pre-eclamptic pathological pregnancies, which phenomenon could contribute to the development of the clinical disease. We investigated the features of CD160 NK cell activating receptor positive cells during the whole course of healthy human pregnancy. We obtained that Vdelta2+ T cells preferentially express CD160 receptor and these cells could have functional relevance in the maintenance of pregnancy. We also showed that the presence of CD160 receptor on NKT cells obtained before IVF procedure could have a positive predictive sign. Taking together, our data provide further evidences confirming that the members of natural immunity could contribute to the successful outcome of human pregnancy

A business schoolok szerepváltozásai Kihívások és változások a menedzserképzésben és az MBA-oktatásban

Az amerikai üzleti iskolák kialakulásuk után szakiskolákként működtek, az üzlet irányítását szakmának fogva fel. A XX. század közepén a hidegháborús fenyegetettség közepette az oktatás színvonalának növelése a nemzetvédelmi kérdések élvonalába került. Néhány évtized alatt szakiskolákból a menedzsmenttudomány fellegváraivá váltak. Ezzel azonban átestek a ló túlsó oldalára: a tudományos kiválóság vágya, a kutatáscentrikusság, az elmélet és a módszertan fetisizálása mind távolabbra sodorta az üzleti iskolákat az üzleti gyakorlattól. Elméleti folyóiratokban való publikálás, az azokra történő hivatkozás fontosabb lett, mint a gyakorlattal való kapcsolat, az eredmények gyakorlati alkalmazása. A menedzserképzés újabb fordulóponthoz érkezett: olyan átalakulásra van szükség, amely megteremti az egyensúlyt a menedzsment mint szakma és a menedzsment mint tudomány között

A felsőoktatás versenyképességéről

A tanulmány áttekinti a versenyképességről más területeken kialakult nézeteket, majd kísérletet tesz a felsőoktatási versenyképesség fogalmának tisztázására, az azt befolyásoló tényezők körvonalazására. A Világgazdasági Fórum versenyképességi modelljének mintáját követve felvázolja a felsőoktatási versenyképesség pilléreit, majd a hazai versenyképesség formálásával kapcsolatos feladatokat összegzi. Ezt követően egy rendszermodellben mutatja be a versenyképesség, a felsőoktatási célok, a felsőoktatási stratégia és annak megvalósításának összefüggéseit, feladatait. A rendszerszemléletű problémakezelés, a felsőoktatás jövőjének stratégiai szemléletű megtervezése elengedhetetlen versenyképességünk javításához. Ha nem ezt tesszük, döntéseink csak sodródást eredményeznek, de semmiképpen sem fogják felsőoktatásunk felemelkedését, sikerét biztosítani a globalizálódó nemzetközi felsőoktatási környezetben, az élesedő tudáspiaci verseny feltételei közepette. A probléma megoldása nemcsak fontos, de sürgető is. Mulasztásunk e téren a rendszerváltás óta áll fenn

Despite the importance of the dimension of time in the world of competitive strategy, only a few researches have focused on the issue of the speed of the integration (SOI) in the process of merger/acquisition (M&A) and its impact on the deal-success. This article focused on the issue of speed of integration and its impact on the integration effectiveness and the success of the M&A. This impact changes depending on the combination of a number of variables such as the main reason of the acquisition, the type of acquisition, the characteristics of the companies involved in the acquisition, and the selected integration approach. Therefore, every acquirer has to pay attention to the SOI variable and to adjust the optimal speed to the specific acquisition scenario

In the successful strategic management of the modern companies each function plays their specific role. While today’s businesses in many ways are different from their ancestors, the key fundamentals are derived from the same roots. Their main purpose of existence is to serve the needs of their shareholders and stakeholders by creating value (Pike et al., 1993). To achieve this effectively and efficiently the various functions need to work in close cooperation with each other. The global crisis, starting in 2008, proved that volatility is higher for the financial markets and the ordinary businesses that have been anticipated before. As the recession started as a financial crisis many people started to blame – amongst others – banks and financial institutions for excessive risk taking and taking short profits ahead of long term sustainable growth. Accordingly the lost confidence in the financial institutions has taken a toll on the reputation of other Finance professionals such as accountants, book keepers, treasury, tax people and others. The finance function’s strategic importance is linked to its ability to help interpreting the business performance and provide transparency. In order to restore the trust the finance profession is now facing one of the biggest challenges of its history, the need to reinvent itself. This paper presents the findings of a recent international research conducted in the United Kingdom, France, Hungary and Poland interviewing 169 executives of the business sector plus the review of 237 job descriptions of finance professionals in order to understand the challenges of the modern finance function. The findings of the study could provide relevant answers and help to overcome a very current problem that Finance is facing today, how to rebuild reputation and to stay a trusted partner and enabler for long term business strategy
