ESPRESSO view on the cold and neutral gas in high-redshift galaxies
We present very recent ESPRESSO results on the studies of the neutral gas in damped Ly-alpha systems detected in spectra of high-redshift quasars. Due to unprecedented spectral resolution that available in ESPRESSO HR mode, we mostly focus on the species related to the cold H2-bearing phase of the interstellar medium of high redshift galaxies. Firstly, we discuss some improvements in long-standing problem of velocity decomposition of the line-profiles, obtained using R~140000 resolution spectrum. In particular, we show that FeI and CI absorption lines at resolution provided by ESPRESSO appears to separate on the several subcomponents. Secondly, we highlight some improvement of the constraints of isotopic ratios from the analysis of MgII and CI absorption lines. Finally, we discuss that ESPRESSO allows to deblend absorption lines from CO rotational levels, and hence accurately measure CO excitation diagram, that allows one to obtain tighter constraints on the CMB temperature at high redshifts, that was obtained before. Force-in-Chain Study of Chain-Electric Hoist with Periodical Variable Angular Rotational Velocity of Chain-Wheel
Lifting mechanism of chain electric hoist with periodical variable angular velocity of chain-wheel has been studied in this paper. The non-uniform movement of chain is considerably decreased and from where the dynamic load is also decreased. The experimental studies of the lifting mechanism have been carried out at different operation modes. The results from these studies have been graphically presented and conclusions have been done
Cold diffuse interstellar medium of Magellanic Clouds: I. HD molecule and cosmic-ray ionization rate
HD molecule is one the most abundant molecule in the Universe and due to its
sensibility to the conditions in the medium, it can be used to constrain
physical parameters in the medium where HD resides. Lately we have shown that
HD abundance can be enhanced in the low metallicity medium. Large and Small
Magellanic Clouds give us an opportunity to study low metallicity galaxies in
details towards different sightlines due to their proximity to our Galaxy. We
revisited FUSE space telescope archival spectra towards bright stars in
Magellanic Clouds to search for HD molecules, associated with the medium of
these galaxies. We reanalysed H absorption lines and constrained HD column
density at the positions of H components. We detected HD towards 24
sightlines (including 19 new detections). We try to measure cosmic ray
ionization rate for several systems using measured ,
and in most cases get loose constraints due to insufficient quality of the FUSE
spectra.Comment: accepted for publication in MNRA
