    Analisis kompensasi daya reaktif motor induksi 3 fasa saat beban puncak adalah sebuah penelitian untuk mengetahui; (1) besar kompensasi daya reaktif yang diperlukan untuk memperbaiki faktor daya motor induksi 3 fasa saat beban puncak ; (2) besar pemasangan kapasitor bank untuk mencapai nilai faktor daya perbaikan; dan (3) membandingkan perubahan sebelum dan setelah dilakukannya perbaikan faktor daya menjadi 0,90 yang dilaksanakan di PT. Semen Tonasa Uni 4. Teknik pengumpulan data pada penelitian ini dilakukan dengan pengumpulan data primer dengan melakukan wawancara dengan pihak-pihak terkait penelitian dan sekunder atau melakukan penelusuran data terkait penelitian, selanjutnya dilakukan analisis data, lalu membuat simulasi untuk membandingkan hasil analisis dan hasil simulasi. Adapun hasil penelitian menunjukkan hasil sebagai berikut ; (1) Besar kompensasi daya reaktif (Qc) diperoleh berdasarkan selisih dari daya reaktif sebelum perbaikan faktor daya (Qb) dengan daya reaktif setelah perbaikan (Qt) ; (2) Besar kapasitor yang digunakan pada kompensasi daya reaktif berdasarkan nilai standar kapasitor yang ada di pasaran. Semakin besar nilai kompensasi daya reaktif yang ditimbulkan maka nilai kapasitor yang dibutuhkan dalam perbaikan faktor daya akan semakin besar ; dan (3) Setelah faktor daya diseragamkan nilai perbaikannya, maka besar arus beban menjadi semakin kecil dan nilai pasokan daya MVA menjadi semakin kecil

    Transformator berfungsi menyalurkan tenaga listrik dengan cara menaikkan atau menurunkan tegangan kemudian menyalurkan dari dari suatu rangkaian listirik ke rangkaian listrik lainnya. Transformator didesain dengan suhu sekitar 20 tetapi beroperasi pada suhu lingkungan 30 di Indonesia, maka transformator tersebut harus disesuaikan pembebanannya. Semakin tinggi suhu setempat semakin pendek operasional dan semakin besar susut umur dari transformator  tersebut.. Pemanasan pada belitan trafo dapat mengkibatkan isolasi menjadi rusak dan kenaikan temperatur minyak akan mengubah sifat serta komposisi minyak trafo. Apabila perubahan-perubahan tersebut dibiarkan akan mengakibatkan nilai isolasi dari minyak menurun. suhu belitan  pada sebuah transformator dapat dipengaruhi oleh besarnya beban serta temperatur lingkungan. Perlu dianalisis nilai suhu belitan pada sebuah transformator berdasarkan standar IEC354 yang diterapkan yaitu maksimal 98ÂșC.Pada tulisan ini meneliti pengaruh beban puncak terhadap susut umur transformator di PT.PLN (Persero) Rayon Daya. Hasil penelitian diperoleh pembebanan tranformator PT.IBT.007 dan transformator PT.IBT.SPTC masing-masing 90.3 % dan 91.5% . susut umur yang didapatkan sebesar 122% dan 136% sehingga sisa umur transformator diperkirakan 15 tahun dan 12 tahun

    The resistance rice genotypes against bacterial leaf blight (Xanthomonas oryzae pv. oryzae). The research was conducted to analyze genotypes of rice that were resistant to bacterial leaf blight (BLB) disease. The experiment was conducted at the screen house of Faculty of Agriculture, Syiah Kuala University, Banda Aceh from February to October 2014. This experiment was arranged in randomized complete block design with 73 treatments and 3 replications. IR-BB27 and IR-64 were used as control of resistant and susceptible varieties to BLB, respectively. The result showed that the bacterial isolates tested were virulent. The longest incubation period found in Limboto, Inpari 10, Situ Patenggang, Sirendeh Semantuk Wayla, Tamboen, Sepasie, Bontok and Arias. Genotypes Inpari 1, Limboto, Tuwoti, Inpari 10, Lekat Rambot Linuet, Rom Mokot, Paki Gajah, Tamboen, Bo 100, Sipasie, Bo Minyek, Bontok, Sirendeh Semantuk Wayla and Sambei showed resistance reaction to bacterial leaf blight disease

    Many households have insufficient savings to handle moderate and routine consumption shocks. Many of these financially-fragile households also have the highest lottery expenditures as a proportion of income. This combination suggests that Prize-Linked Savings (PLS) accounts, combining security of principal with lottery-type jackpots, can increase savings among these at-risk households. Results from an online experiment show that the introduction of PLS accounts increase total savings and reduce lottery expenditures significantly, especially among individuals with the lowest levels of savings and income. The results imply that PLS accounts offer a plausible market-based solution to encourage individuals to increase savings

    PT. Ebako Nusantara is a company that produce furniture. Where in its production it can not be separated from the defective product.Defect often occured in the Dining Chair production process. From the historical data, plenty of defect caused by the failure in the production process such as not similar carving, lack of radius, plenty of waves, and plenty of chunk arms. From that probelms, PT. Ebako Nusantara should analyze the cause and doing some repairment of the product quality that is produce.To identify and analyze the moda, effect, and the cause of these failuresit need special method. This study use FMECA (Failure Mode and Effect Criticality Analysis), it is an engineering tools that is recommend to analyze the moda and the effect of failure of product that is produce.Prioritizing the risk that need to be handles according to the RPN (Risk Priority Number). RPN is a result of multiplication between the severity, event, and severity detection. The hypothesis test that is used in this research is FMECA FMECA(Failure Mode andEffect Criticality Analysis). From the research results that are done in each element, it is obtain that the Dining Chairproduct have the highest level of defect. The level of defect covers not similar carving, lack of radius, plenty of waves, and plenty of chunk arms. The amount of RPN that is produce is the same. The result of data processing using criticality matrix obtain 8 mode of defectthat need a corrective action. As an effort to eliminate the defect that is cause by the production process failure

    Ab Initio Molecular Orbital Investigation of the Unimolecular Decomposition of CH3SiH2+

    The potential energy surface for the decomposition of CH3SiH2+ was studied by ub initio electronic structure theory. At the MP2/6-31G(d,p) level of theory, CH3SiH2+ is the only minimum energy structure on the SiCH5+ potential energy surface. Lower levels of theory reported that +CH2SiH3 was also a local minimum, about 40 kcal/mol higher in energy with only a small (ca. 1-2 kcdmol) banier for conversion back to CH3SiH2+. However, at higher levels of theory, the C, structure of +CHzSiH3 has an imaginary frequency, indicating that it is a saddle point rather than a local minimum on the potential energy surface. The 0 K reaction enthalpies for 1,1 -dehydrogenation from silicon, 1,2-dehydrogenation, 1,l -dehydrogenation from carbon, and demethanation were calculated to be 30.2,69.1, 107.3, and 45.3 kcdmol, respectively. Activation energies (0 K) were calculated at the MP4/6-311++G(2df,2pd) level of theory with the classical barriers subsequently adjusted for zero-point vibrational energies. The 0 K activation energies for 1,l-dehydrogenation from silicon, l,Zdehydrogenation, and demethanation are predicted to be 66.6, 72.7, and 73.0 kcavmol, respectively. All attempts to locate a transition state for the insertion of the carbene-like species, CHSiHZ+, into Hz (reverse of the 1,l-dehydrogenation from carbon) were unsuccessful. This is not surprising since analogous carbene insertions are known to occur without a barrier. Thus, we conclude that this 1,l-H2 elimination from carbon proceeds monotonically uphill. The closed-shell structures for the products of the above reactions (CH3Si+, CH2SiH+, and CHSiH2+) were calculated at the MP2/6-31G(p,d) level of theory. Finally, triplet products were also examined
