Robust Topological Terahertz Circuits using Semiconductors

Topological Insulator-based devices can transport electrons/photons at the surfaces of materials without any back reflections, even in the presence of obstacles. Topological properties have recently been studied using non-reciprocal materials such as gyromagnetics or using bianisotropy. However, these effects usually saturate at optical frequencies and limit our ability to scale down devices. In order to implement topological devices that we introduce in this paper for the terahertz range, we show that semiconductors can be utilized via their cyclotron resonance in combination with small magnetic fields. We propose novel terahertz operating devices such as the topological tunable power splitter and the topological circulator. This work opens new perspectives in the design of terahertz integrated devices and circuits with high functionality.Comment: 9 pages, 8 figure

Reconstruction of 3D faces by shape estimation and texture interpolation

This paper aims to address the ill-posed problem of reconstructing 3D faces from single 2D face images. An extended Tikhonov regularization method is connected with the standard 3D morphable model in order to reconstruct the 3D face shapes from a small set of 2D facial points. Further, by interpolating the input 2D texture with the model texture and warping the interpolated texture to the reconstructed face shapes, 3D face reconstruction is achieved. For the texture warping, the 2D face deformation has been learned from the model texture using a set of facial landmarks. Our experimental results justify the robustness of the proposed approach with respect to the reconstruction of realistic 3D face shapes

Ketohydrazone complexes as potential emitting material in OLED

Abstract Ketohydrazone is a molecule that is able to act as a bidentate ligand through the O of C=O and N of N=C in the molecule. Three ketohydrazone ligands had been fully synthesized through the condensation reaction between 2- hydroxynaphthaldehydes with various hydrazides: salisylic hydrazide, benzyhydrazide and 2-furoic acid hydrazide in a 1:1 stoichiometry. The ligands had been characterized using infrared, 1HNMR and ultraviolet-visible spectrometer. Complexation reaction between all ligands and metals, with a stoichiometry of 1:2 for Zn (II) : ligand and 1:3 for Al(III) : ligand were carried out. All six complexes obtained were characterized using FTIR and UV-Vis spectrometer. The fluorescence properties of each ligands and complexes were investigated using luminescence spectrofluorometer excited at 406 nm. It was found that the compounds emitted blue light at ? max = 470 nm. Results showed that all the ligands and molecules synthesized have the fluorescence properties and complexation with metal enhanced the intensity of the fluorescence. It was observed that complex of Al(NDB)3 showed the best potential as an emitting material for OLED as it has the highest fluorescence intensity compared to others. Abstrak Ketohidrazon merupakan sebatian molekul yang berupaya berfungsi sebagai ligan bidentat melalui O daripada C=O dan N daripada N=C di dalam molekulnya. Tiga ligan ketohidrazon telah berjaya disintesis melalui proses kondensasi antara 2- hidroksinaftaldehida dan beberapa kumpulan hidrazida, salisilik hidrazida,, 2-furoik hidrazida, dan benzihidrazida.mengikut nisbah stoikiometri 1 : 1. Semua ligan yang telah disintesis dicirikan melalui spektroskopi IR, UV-Vis dan 1H-RMN. Tindak balas pengkompleksan antara ligan yang telah disintesis dengan dua logam yang berasingan, iaitu aluminium dan zink telah dijalankan dengan nisbah ion ligam : ligan 1 : 3 bagi pengkompleksan dengan aluminium dan 1 : 2 bagi pengkompleksan dengan zink. Enam kompleks yang terhasil dicirikan melalui spektroskopi IR dan UV-Vis. Ciri-ciri pendarfluor bagi tindak balas pengkompleksan dan ligan yang terhasil telah dikaji menggunakan spektrometer pendarfluor pada panjang gelombang pemancaran 405nm. Didapati sebatian-sebatian tersebut memancarkan cahaya biru pada ? max = 470 nm. Hasil yang diperolehi menunjukkan bahawa semua ligan dan kompleks yang disintesis menunjukkan sifat pendarfluor dan pengkompleksan dengan logam dapat meningkatkan keamatan pendarfluornya.. Kompleks Al(NDB)3 menunjukkan potensi yang terbaik sebagai bahan pemancar dalam diod pemancar cahaya organik (OLED) memandangkan kompleks ini menunjukkan keamatan pendarfluor yang tertinggi

HUBUNGAN TINGKAT KEPERCAYAAN DIRI ATLET SEPAKBOLA PERSIB U21 DENGAN PERFORMA TIM PADA KOMPETISI LIGA SUPER INDONESIA

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh gambaran tentang seberapa jauh hubungan tingkat kepercayaan diri atlet Sepakbola Persib Bandung U21 dengan performa tim pada kompetisi Liga Super Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini ialah pemain Persib Bandung U21, sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh pemain Persib Bandung U21 yang berjumlah 24 pemain, teknik pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik total sampling. Berdasarkan pengolahan data dan analisis data, diperoleh hasil penelitian bahwa tingkat kepercayaan diri Atlet Persib U 21 pada laga Liga Super Indonesia berada pada kategori menengah/cukup. Performa Tim Persib U 21 pada laga Liga Super Indonesia berada pada katagori cukup. Maka penulis menyimpulkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara Kepercayaan Diri dengan Performa Tim pada atlet sepak bola Persib U 21 dalam kompotisi Liga Super Indonesia. Saran bagi para pelatih, penelitian ini diharapkan untuk dijadikan sebagai bahan acuan untuk membimbing, mendidik, dan mengarahkan para atletnya untuk memiliki kepercayaan diri yang tinggi dan Performa Tim yang baik serta mengingat betapa pentingnya pelatihan mental, untuk tidak mengabaikan permberian pelatihan mental kepada atlet yang dibinanya.----------This research aims to gain an idea of how far the highest-level confidence Persib Under 21 soccer players team’s performance at the competition of Indonesian Super League. The methods used in this research is descriptive methods. The population in this research is Persib under 21 football players, samples used in this research is the entire Persib under 21 players from 24 players, the sampling technique using total sampling. Based on data processing and analysis, the results obtained that level of confidence Persib under 21 players in the Indonesian Super League is in the average categories/enough. Then the authors concluded there is a significant relationship between the players confidence with the team’s performance at Persib Under 21 players in the Indonesian Super League. Advice for coaches, the reaserch is expected to serve as a reference point to guide, educate, and directs the players to have good confidence and good team performance as well as considering how important mental training, not to ignore the mental training for their players

PERBANDINGAN KONSENTRASI DAN KECEMASAN PADA POSISI DEFENSE DALAM BERMAIN SOFTBALL

Skripsi ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbandingan konsentrasi dan kecemasan pada posisi defense (outfield, infield, pitcher) dalam permainan softball. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan desain observasional analitik. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah atlet atau mahasiswa yang mengikuti kejuaraan softball walikota cup 2015 Usia Maksimal 28 tahun se- Kota Bandung sebanyak 58 sempel. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan teknik sectional. Instrumen yang digunakan yaitu menggunakan angket T- MAS (the taylor minensota anxietys scale) dan lembar tes konsentrasi. Setelah semua data terkumpul data dimunculkan teknik analisis datanya Uji F ANOVA One way, ternyata dari hasil uji hipotesis pertama H 0 diteima karena terdapat p-value 0,514 pada konsentrasi. Sedangkan pada uji hipotesis kedua juga H 0 diterima karena terdapat p-value 0,951 pada kecemasan. Dengan demikian H 1 dan H 2 tidak dapat diterima. Kesimpulannya adalah tidak terdapat perbedaan konsentrasi dan kecemasan yang berbeda pada posisi defense outfield, infield dan pitcher dalam bermain softball

Managing disaster preparedness for institution of higher learning: A study in Perlis

Unprecedented floods disaster that hit Johore, Pahang, Terengganu and Kelantan was due to abnormal weather conditions. Heavy rain which fall continuously non stop for between 3 to 4 days has raised the water level in some areas to a height of 15 feet deep. The flood disasters have caused devastating loss of property and life and some 100,000 people were evacuated to flood relief centers. Some of the floods victim lost all their belonging and property. Flood disaster has also caused water borne diseases to prevail. The future is bleak for these flood victims. Continuous government assistance is needed for these flood victims who lost everything is needed. Year in and year out, the monsoon season have cause floods disaster especially in the east coast state and is now a yearly common phenomena. However, the level of awareness and preparedness among the Malaysian community and the government machinery is still questionably low. Presently, there are 18 public universities in the country, the issue is what is the level of awareness does students and staff of the university put on the issue of floods or other natural disaster? Do we at the University are ready to face disaster situations if it occur in the University? At this juncture, the experiences of UniMAP’s contribution to the University’s community, the local community vis-à-vis the Malaysian Mechanism Disaster Management and functioning alongside the state machinery of Perlis state government during 17 December 2005 flood disaster can be used as an example. The aim of this study is to examine the disaster preparedness in University and to propagate the importance of disaster preparedness among the students and staffs through education. This pilot project will be conducted through interviews, observations and surveys. It is expected that this study will shed some light for further effective implementation of disaster preparedness management

Penulis Laporan Kerja Praktek (LKP) ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tentang PPh Pasal 23 atas jasa perawatan/Reparasi (docking kapal) pada PT. ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) Cabang Banda Aceh yaitu dengan tarif untuk jasa imbalan dikenakan 2% x Penghasilan bruto. Penulis melaksanakan Praktek Kerja Lapangan dilakukan PT. ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) Cabang Banda Aceh selama 2 bulan, terhitung mulai tanggal 13 Februari 2017 sampai dengan tanggal 13 April 2017.Pajak Penghasilan Pasal 23 merupakan pajak penghasilan yang dipotong atas penghasilan yang diterima atau diperoleh wajib pajak dalam negeri dan Bentuk Usaha Tetap yang berasal dari modal, penyerahan jasa, atau penyelengaraan kegiatan selain yang telah dipotong Pajak Penghasilan pasal 21. Pelaksanaan Pemotongan, penyetoran, dan pelaporan Pajak Penghasilan Pasal 23 dilakukan oleh PT. ASDP Indonesia Ferry Cabang Banda Aceh setiap pembayaran atas jasa Perawatan/reparasi (Docking kapal) setiap terjadinya perawatan kapal kepada penyedia jasa yaitu PT. Dok & perkapalan kodja Bahari (Persero) Kota Sabang dan Ryan Jaya Mandiri. PT. ASDP Indonesia Ferry Cabang Banda Aceh selaku wajib pajak badan yang terdaftar di KPP Pratama Banda Aceh untuk memotong dan memungut Pajak yang terutang oleh wajib pajak yang berhubungan dengan PT. ASDP Indonesia Ferry Cabang Banda Aceh, mempunyai kewajiban menyerahkan bukti potong, bukti setor kepada wajib pajak yang di kenai pajak. Hal tersebut merupakan pembuktian bahwa PT. ASDP Indonesia Ferry Cabang Banda Aceh telah melakukan kewajiban perpajakan sesuai peraturan perpajakan yang berlaku sekarang
