    Massey products in symplectic manifolds

The paper is devoted to study of Massey products in symplectic manifolds. Theory of generalized and classical Massey products and a general construction of symplectic manifolds with nontrivial Massey products of arbitrary large order are exposed. The construction uses the symplectic blow-up and is based on the author results, which describe conditions under which the blow-up of a symplectic manifold X along its submanifold Y inherits nontrivial Massey products from X ot Y. This gives a general construction of nonformal symplectic manifolds.Comment: LaTeX, 48 pages, 2 figure

Teenagers’ health, the level and structure of incidence reflect totality of the influence of the factors and their living conditions, upbringing and training, a way of life, medical care. The results of medical examination of young men at initial military registration to a sufficient extent give an idea of the prevalence of pathology among this contingent and in many respects characterize the quality of labour and defendable potential. Material and methods. The results of medical examination of teenagers by the military physician board of the Novosibirsk Regional Military Registration and Enlistment Office from 2000 to 2014 with the total number of the examined subjects 252.2 thousand were used. The dynamic and comparative analyses of the indices for three time periods along with the assessment of the prevalence of the diseases by the disease classes, separate nosological groups and also the distribution of young men by the medical classification were carried out. Results. It was established that on average 62.7 % of the examined subjects had this or that pathology. At the same time, 22.5 % of all the diseases were revealed for the first time. It was shown that 87.7–88.7 % of all the pathology accounted for 8 basic classes of diseases. Among the diseases limiting the medical classification the main ones were mental and behavioral disorders and also the diseases of the musculoskeletal system and connective tissue. The temporary unfitness was determined by endocrine, nutritional and metabolic diseases, and the complete one was defined by mental disorders, diseases of the nervous system, endocrine pathology, diseases of the spine and their aftereffects, disorders of refraction and accommodation of the eyes, visual impairment, bronchial asthma, mental retardation, flat foot and other foot deformations, degenerative diseases of the nervous system, which accounted for 63.0 % of all. Conclusion. The study showed the feasibility of using the results of the medical examination to assess the health of teenage young men and the inclusion of these indices in social and hygienic monitoring

Introduction. The article attempts to localize Tamerlane’s campaigns of 1395–1396 in Central Ciscaucasia aimed to weaken the Golden Horde, eliminate chief forces of Tokhtamysh and his allies native to the region invaded. Goals. The study seeks to analyze and compare data from artefacts, written and phonic sources relating to Tamerlane’s campaigns in Central Ciscaucasia, clarify the roles once played therein by archaeological sites investigated across Stavropol Krai. Materials and methods. The paper focuses on artefacts, written and phonic sources. The former include ones contained in the occupation layer of Majar hillfort and bearing traces of the city’s demolition in the late 14th century CE, as well as those from two other sites of the Golden Horde era — Novopavlovka and Kochubeevskoe-1 settlements. The examined written sources are works by Arab, Persian and Western European authors, including modern ones. As for medieval Arab and Persian sources, the most detailed accounts for further analysis are contained in Books of Victory by Nizam al-Din Shami and Sharaf al-Din ‘Ali Yazdi, as well as in chronicles by Abd-al-Razzāq Samarqandī. Most precious data has been discovered in J. Schiltberger’s writing, oral accounts summarized by E. Çelebi and A. Firkovich. The work employs the historical-systemic, historical-comparative, and cartographic methods. The analysis is supplemented with results of scientific surveys recently conducted across glaciers of the Central and West Caucasus. Results. In spring of 1395, Tamerlane invaded the East and Central Caucasus to defeat Tokhtamysh in the decisive battle that took place in the Malka-Kura interfluve. Later in autumn and winter of 1395–1396, the invaders would return to the North Caucasus for raids throughout the lands of Kuban and Beshtau. Conclusions. In 1395–1396, Tamerlane was following a certain plan of his compiled with due regard for natural/climatic conditions of the region and seasonal economic cycles of Central Ciscaucasia’s nomads. The invading troops kept the field with the use of local resources — foodstuffs of Dzhulat county, summer pastures of Bishdag, and winter pastures of the Kuma-Manych Depression. Tamerlane was devastating the right wing of the Ulus of Jochi to take into possession the resources previously deployed by rulers of the Golden Horde

    Get PDF
The utility of the compost worm Eisenia fetida (Savigny) for recycling mixed leaf litter of the tree species characteristic of the forests in the south of Western Siberia and used in the landscaping in the city of Tomsk has been demonstrated. The tree species that are the major contributors to the leaf litter in the examined area include the genera Populus, Salix, and Betula. Two-fraction substrates for leaf litter vermicomposting and conventional composting (decomposition with and without earthworms) were prepared of the harvested and dried leaf litter. The feeding fraction consisted of leaf litter moistened with distilled water and the absorbing fraction, of alluvial river sand. The physicochemical properties of the studied leaf litter were weakly acidic pH of aqueous extracts, a very low content of nitrate nitrogen, and a relatively low K + concentration. The prevalent cation in the assayed leaf litter was Ca 2+ . The leaf litter was partially decomposed on the surface of sand substrates during 35-day incubation under humid conditions; accumulation of inorganic ions in the sand was one of the signs indicating this decomposition. Ca 2+ was also prevalent among these ions
