Societal Comparison and Social Change of the Family Division of Labour

In the case of the comparative societal analysis, the methodological problems are not simple methodological questions but of real theoretical questions. One will take the example of an international comparison relating to the division of the paid work and unpaid, to show how should have been worked out a specific methodology. This one lies nevertheless within a preliminary theoretical scope; it is partly the fruit of a "specific" theory. And, more basically still, it leads to a "general" theory; in fact a theory of the social change. Exact Inference Techniques for the Analysis of Bayesian Attack Graphs

Attack graphs are a powerful tool for security risk assessment by analysing network vulnerabilities and the paths attackers can use to compromise network resources. The uncertainty about the attacker's behaviour makes Bayesian networks suitable to model attack graphs to perform static and dynamic analysis. Previous approaches have focused on the formalization of attack graphs into a Bayesian model rather than proposing mechanisms for their analysis. In this paper we propose to use efficient algorithms to make exact inference in Bayesian attack graphs, enabling the static and dynamic network risk assessments. To support the validity of our approach we have performed an extensive experimental evaluation on synthetic Bayesian attack graphs with different topologies, showing the computational advantages in terms of time and memory use of the proposed techniques when compared to existing approaches.Comment: 14 pages, 15 figure

La creazione di un nuovo mercato: il caso dello Champagne. Un approccio evolutivo

The paper uses evolutionary games to interpret building of legal inheritance, the protection of geographical indication system (French AOC system). It organizes a particular configuration of patent rights very favourable to Champagne industry. The paper focuses on strategic choices which lead to define a competition strategy, market segmentation by quality. It shows that, in this legal innovation process, the main target is not trade protection. The problem is, for great producers, to lock all producers in quality strategies.

L'évolution des rôles masculin et féminin au sein de la famille

This tendency resulted in a time-sharing between work remunerated and family more balanced for the two sexes. Three periods are distinguished: the years 1960 and 1970 still dominated by a traditional model of distribution of the roles - the women work but have an " auxiliary " employment -, the years 1980 characterized by the concern of rebalancing the task sharing within the family and of promoting the professional equality, in a context where the women are more touched by the development of " atypical " employment. Since the years 1990, the diversity of the family forms and the assertion of the statute and the rights of the child contributed to a greater indistinctness of the roles, to which testifies the progressive recognition of the homoparentality.Les rôles masculin et féminin au sein de la famille ont évolué vers plus d'indifférenciation. Cette tendance s'est traduite par un partage du temps entre travail rémunéré et famille plus équilibré pour les deux sexes. On distingue trois périodes : les années 1960 et 1970 encore dominées par un modèle de répartition des rôles traditionnel - les femmes travaillent mais ont un emploi " d'appoint " -, les années 1980 caractérisées par le souci de rééquilibrer le partage des tâches au sein de la famille et promouvoir l'égalité professionnelle, dans un contexte où les femmes sont davantage touchées par le développement des emplois " atypiques ". Identifying Security-Critical Cyber-Physical Components in Industrial Control Systems

In recent years, Industrial Control Systems (ICS) have become an appealing target for cyber attacks, having massive destructive consequences. Security metrics are therefore essential to assess their security posture. In this paper, we present a novel ICS security metric based on AND/OR graphs that represent cyber-physical dependencies among network components. Our metric is able to efficiently identify sets of critical cyber-physical components, with minimal cost for an attacker, such that if compromised, the system would enter into a non-operational state. We address this problem by efficiently transforming the input AND/OR graph-based model into a weighted logical formula that is then used to build and solve a Weighted Partial MAX-SAT problem. Our tool, META4ICS, leverages state-of-the-art techniques from the field of logical satisfiability optimisation in order to achieve efficient computation times. Our experimental results indicate that the proposed security metric can efficiently scale to networks with thousands of nodes and be computed in seconds. In addition, we present a case study where we have used our system to analyse the security posture of a realistic water transport network. Familialisme, Féminisme et "Parentalisme" : trois âges de la régulation sociale

This intersection of the various stakes : demographic, economic, social, political in particular, raises of an articulation between the sphere of the production and that of the reproduction which is historically the spring of the social change in our societies. The aim of this text is to reread the recent history of France, over the last thirty years, to note the transformation of the political and social objectives and to see how, according to the changes of the family and employment, one gradually passed from one mode of societal regulation to another. More particularly, of a regulation based on the preservation of the family -Familialism-, with a regulation seeking to preserve the place of women -Feminism-; while today it is the social concern of children (and of the parentality, -explaining the naming of Parentalism used-) which seems prevalent.Nos sociétés développées sont aujourd'hui face à un défi majeur : préserver à tout prix des taux de fécondité suffisants pour assurer le développement économique et social à long terme, donc un niveau d'emploi croissant, alors même que d'éventuels problèmes de pénurie de main-d'oeuvre sont susceptibles d'entraver la compétitivité de notre économie. Cet entrecroissement des différents enjeux : démographique, économique, social, politique notamment, relève d'une articulation entre la sphère de la production et celle de la reproduction qui est historiquement le ressort du changement social dans nos sociétés. L'objet de ce texte est de relire l'histoire récente de la France, sur les trente dernières années, pour suivre la transformation des objectifs politiques et sociaux et voir comment, en fonction des évolutions de la famille et de l'emploi, on est progressivement passé d'un mode de régulation sociale à un autre. Plus particulièrement, d'une régulation fondée sur la préservation de la famille - le Familialisme -, à une régulation cherchant à préserver la place des femmes - le Féminisme - ; tandis qu'aujourd'hui c'est la préoccupation sociale de l'enfant (et de la parentalité, - d'où la dénomination de Parentalisme utilisée -) qui semble prédominante

The recourse to the concept of « parental time » makes itpossible to better measure the inequalities of division of work between men and women. Inequalities which relate to as well the nature of the tasks carried out as the time taken by the domestic activities. The author wonders about the possible evolutions on the matter, of the fact in particular of progress in the implementation of a real policy of the parentality by companies and administrations – which tetifies the recognition of a parental time for the fathers – , and the possibility of new forms of division of roles between the two sexes.La présence désormais massive des femmes dans la sphère du travail salarié s'accompagne pour elles d'un temps de travail très important au sein de la famille. Le recours à la notion de « temps parental » permet de mieux mesurer les inégalités de partage du travail entre les hommes et les femmes. Inégalités qui concernent aussi bien la nature des tâches effectuées que le temps pris par les activités domestiques. L'auteur s'interroge sur les évolutions envisageables en la matière, du fait notamment des progrès dans la mise en oeuvre d'une réelle politique de la parentalité par les entreprises et lesadministrations – ce dont témoigne la reconnaissance d'un temps parental pour les pères –, et de la possibilité de nouvelles formes de partage des rôlesentre les deux sexes
