Quantitative Analysis of AGV System in FMS Cell Layout

    Get PDF
Material handling is a specialised activity for a modern manufacturing concern. Automated guided vehicles (AGVs) are invariably used for material handling in flexible manufacturing Systems (FMSs) due to their flexibility. The quantitative analysis of an AGV system is useful for determining the material flow rates, operation times, length of delivery, length of empty move of AGV and the number of AGVs required for a typical FMS cell layout. The efficiency of the material handling system, such as AGV can be improved by reducing the length of empty move. The length of empty move of AGV depends upon despatching and scheduling methods. If these methods of AGVs are not properly planned, the length of empty move of AGV is greater than the length of delivery .This results in increase in material handling time which in turn increases the number of AGVs required in FMS cell. This paper presents a method for optimising the length of empty travel of AGV in a typical FMS cell layout

    Get PDF
Travelers on a public transport system such as metro rail are often engrossed in viewing content on their mobile devices and may forget the route segment they are currently on and can miss an upcoming transfer point, leading to time-consuming re-routing. This disclosure describes techniques that provide, via a mobile device and/or a wearable computer, subtle visual hints to a traveler regarding their current location on a multi-hop public transport system such as metro rail and upcoming transfers. The visual hints can be provided by matching the color of operating system controlled user interface elements such as wallpaper, status indicators, notification panels, etc. or via application UI. Application behavior can also be updated to account for the traveler’s present location and travel route, e.g., by displaying search results that match the route, displaying search results with a similar color as a route segment that it is close to, etc

E-medicinal services frameworks are ever trendier, a lot of private information for restorative standard is involved, and people begin to value that they would totally lose sort out over their individual data once it come into the internet. As per the administration site around 8 million patients' wellbeing all together was uncover in the previous two years. There are superior purposes behind trust therapeutic information private and controlling the entrance. A boss may settle on not to tackle somebody with beyond any doubt sicknesses. An insurance agency may decay to give extra security knowing the infection history of a patient. Despite the incomparable criticalness, protection issues are not address adequately at the mechanical level and endeavors to keep wellbeing information bolted have frequently dive short. This is since ensuring protection in the internet is fundamentally all the more testing. Subsequently, there is a basic requirement for the increment of workable conventions, architectures, and frameworks proclaim time alone and security to protect responsive and individual computerized data

DEVELOPMENT OF STABILITY INDICATING RP-HPLC METHOD FOR THE SIMULTANEOUS ESTIMATION OF AMBROXOL HYDROCHLORIDE AND LEVOCETIRIZINE DIHYDROCHLORIDE

A simple, precise and accurate method has been developed for simultaneous estimation of Ambroxol hydrochloride and Levocetirizine dihydrochloride. The proposed RP-HPLC method utilises Enable C18 G column (250 x 4.6mm, 5m), mobile phase consisting of Phosphate buffer pH 3.0: Methanol in the ratio of 20:80 (v/v) and UV detection at 236nm using a photodiode array detector. ambroxol hydrochloride and levocetirizine dihydrochloride were exposed to acidic, alkali, oxidative, thermal and photolytic stress conditions and the stressed samples were analysed by the proposed method. Peak homogeneity data of ambroxol hydrochloride and levocetirizine dihydrochloride in the stressed samples demonstrated the specificity of the method for their estimation in presence of degradants. The described method was linear over a range of 15 45 g/mL for ambroxol hydrochloride and 1 3 g/mL for levocetirizine dihydrochloride respectively. The method validation data showed excellent results for accuracy, precision, linearity, specificity, limit of detection, limit of quantification and robustness. The present method can be successfully used for routine quality control and stability studies

    Non-clasical Nucleation in Supercooled Nickel

The dynamics of homogeneous nucleation and growth of crystalline nickel from the super-cooled melt is examined during rapid quenching using molecular dynamics and a modified embedded atom method potential. The character of the critical nuclei of the crystallization transition is examined using common neighbor analysis and visualization. At nucleation the saddle point droplet consists of randomly stacked planar structures with an in plane triangular order. These results are consistent with previous theoretical results that predict that the nucleation process in some metals is non-classical due to the presence of long-range forces and a spinodal.Comment: 4 pages, 5 figure

First Sub-parsec-scale Mapping of Magnetic Fields in the Vicinity of a Very-low-luminosity Object, L1521F-IRS

L1521F is found to be forming multiple cores and it is cited as an example of the densest core with an embedded VeLLO in a highly dynamical environment. We present the core-scale magnetic fields (B-fields) in the near vicinity of the VeLLO L1521F-IRS using submillimeter polarization measurements at 850 mu m using JCMT POL-2. This is the first attempt to use high-sensitivity observations to map the sub-parsec-scale B-fields in a core with a VeLLO. The B-fields are ordered and very well connected to the parsec-scale field geometry seen in our earlier optical polarization observations and the large-scale structure seen in Planck dust polarization. The core-scale B-field strength estimated using the Davis-Chandrasekhar-Fermi relation is 330 +/- 100 mu G, which is more than 10 times the value we obtained in the envelope (the envelope in this paper is the "core envelope"). This indicates that B-fields are getting stronger on smaller scales. The magnetic energies are found to be 1 to 2 orders of magnitude higher than nonthermal kinetic energies in the envelope and core. This suggests that magnetic fields are more important than turbulence in the energy budget of L1521F. The mass-to-flux ratio of 2.3 +/- 0.7 suggests that the core is magnetically supercritical. The degree of polarization is steadily decreasing toward the denser part of the core with a power-law slope of -0.86.Peer reviewe

SRI-A Method for Sustainable Intensification of Rice Production with Enhanced Water Productivity

Climate change induced higher temperatures will increase crops’ water requirements. Every 10°C increase in mean temperature, results in 7% decline in the yield of rice crop. Hence, there is a need to develop water saving technologies in rice which consumes more than 50% of the total irrigation water in agriculture. System of Rice Intensification (SRI) is one such water saving rice production technology. Experiments were conducted at different locations in India including research farm of Directorate of Rice Research (DRR), Hyderabad, during 2005-10 to assess the potential of SRI in comparison to normal transplanting/Standard Planting (NTP/SP) under flooded condition. SRI recorded higher grain yield (6 to 65% over NTP) at majority of locations. Long term studies clearly indicated that grain yield was significantly higher (12-23% and 4-35% over NTP in Kharif and Rabi seasons, respectively) in SRI (with organic+inorganic fertilizers) while the SRI (with100% organic manures), recorded higher yield (4-34%) over NTP only in the Rabi seasons. Even though, SRI resulted in higher productivity, the available nutrient status in soil was marginally higher (10, 42 and 13% over NTP for N, P and K, respectively) at the end of four seasons. There was a reduction in the incidence of pests in SRI and the relative abundance of plant parasitic nematodes was low in SRI as compared to the NTP. About 31% and 37% saving in irrigation water was observed during Kharif and Rabi seasons, respectively in both methods of SRI cultivation over NTP. SRI performed well and consistently reduced requirement of inputs such as seed and water in different soil conditions. SRI method, using less water for rice production can help in overcoming water shortage in future and it can also make water available for growing other crops thus promoting crop diversificatio
