utviklingen i samfunnet.
Predicting intention to treat HIV-infected patients among Tanzanian and Sudanese medical and dental students using the theory of planned behaviour - a cross sectional study
<p>Abstract</p> <p>Background</p> <p>The HIV epidemic poses significant challenges to the low income countries in sub Saharan Africa (SSA), affecting the attrition rate among health care workers, their level of motivation, and absenteeism from work. Little is known about how to deal with deterioration of human resources in the health care systems. This study aimed to predict the intention to provide surgical treatment to HIV infected patients among medical- and dental students in Tanzania and Sudan using an extended version of the Theory of Planned Behaviour (TPB).</p> <p>Methods</p> <p>Four hundred and seventy five medical- and dental students at the University of Dar es Salaam (mean age, 25 yr) and 642 dental students attending 6 public and private dental faculties in Khartoum (mean age 21.7 yr) completed self-administered TPB questionnaires in 2005 and 2007, respectively.</p> <p>Results</p> <p>Both Tanzanian and Sudanese students demonstrated strong intentions to provide care for people with HIV and AIDS. Stepwise linear regression revealed that the TPB accounted for 51% (43% in Tanzania and Sudan) of the variance in intention across study sites. After having controlled for country and past behaviour, the TPB in terms of attitudes, subjective norms and perceived behavioural control accounted for 34% and moral norms for an additional 2,3% of the explainable variance in intention. Across both study sites, attitudes were the strongest predictor of intention followed in descending order by subjective norms, moral norms and perceived behavioural control.</p> <p>Conclusion</p> <p>The TPB is applicable to students' care delivery intentions in the context of HIV and AIDS across the two SSA countries investigated. It is suggested that attitudes, subjective norms, moral norms and perceived behavioural control are key factors in students' willingness to treat AIDS and HIV infected patients and should be targets of interventions aimed at improving the quality of health care delivery in this context.</p

Exchange rate risk in the Government Pension Fund Global
The Government Pension Fund Global (the Fund) is an important instrument of
national saving. In a national perspective, the Fund's role is to save from the cur-
rent export surplus (oil and gas) to nance future purchases of goods and services
produced abroad (imports). In this perspective, exchange rate risk relates to the
di erence between the currency allocation in the Fund and the currency composi-
tion of future imports. Exchange rate risk amounts to deviations from international
purchasing power parity (PPP) in tradable goods. A literature review suggests that
the evidence for PPP in the long run is considerably stronger today than commonly
thought 10-15 years ago. Also, it seems justi ed to expect large deviations from
PPP to be signi cantly more short-lived than previously thought. Given the Fund's
long investment horizon and regular withdrawals through the scal policy guide-
line, exchange rate risk seems small. This warrants a change in the geographical
allocation of the Fund. Today, more than half of the Fund's capital is invested in
Europe { a certain form of \home bias." There no longer appears to be a basis for
such a strong concentration of the investments. In fact, an argument can be made
to invest more in countries that are farther from home, e.g. in emerging markets

Currency Hedging in Norwegian Non-Financial Firms
Fluctuations in global foreign exchange markets in recent years have again shown that many Norwegian enterprises are sensitive to changes in exchange rates, in both a positive and negative sense. The question naturally arises as to how companies can best hedge against such fluctuations and what hedging techniques that are actually used by Norwegian enterprises. This article summarises the results of a survey conducted by Norges Bank in summer 2004. The survey focused on the use of currency derivatives, but also posed more general questions regarding hedging. The article starts with a brief description of exchange rate risk and the most relevant risk management instruments, followed by some comments regarding the theory of companies' derivatives usage and an overview of international empirical studies in the field, before presenting the most important results of the Norwegian survey
Research is done regarding eating disorders and the treatment of eating disorders. However, looking at eating disorders and physiotherapy, especially norwegian psychomotor physiotherapy, the research is rare. The research shows that treatment mostly include psychological therapies and medication, and is not so often addressed to the body itself. And this despite the fact that this disorder is so much about the body. The aim of this study is to look at the contributin of norwegian psychomotor physiotherapy in the treatment of patients with an eating disorders.
Research data was produced at a special unit for eating disorders, using in-depht interviews of the team members. A psychomotor physiotherapist and the other most important team members, with other words a psychiatrist, a psychologist and a nurse specialized in mental health, were interviewed. The research data was analyzed using systematic text condensation as analyzing method. The theoretical framework of this study is based on the theory of norwegian psychomotor physiotherapy, phenomenology of the body and interprofessional collaboration.
The findings of the interviews clearly suggest that norwegian psychomotor physiotherapy contributed with something that was different and complementary to the other treatments methodes. The findings also suggests that the general physiotherapy knowledge of the psychomotor physiotherapist was important for the treatment. And as last the results show that it was not the norwegian psychomotor physiotherapy or one of the other treatment methods on their own that was regarded as most important for this reatment concept. The treatment concept as a whole and collaboration at the unit were very important parts of the treatment
