Analyzing potential of demand response: information provision, peak-smoothing, and peak-load based tariffs.

In this dissertation I cover some of the available ways to increase consumers' engagement and participation in the energy market and increase demand response - from information provision which allows to optimize electricity consumption decisions of the households (first paper) to critical peak pricing which educates consumers about the importance of the timing of consumption (second paper). In the third paper another possibility to increase the participation of consumers is discussed, namely, the regulatory perspective which involves an update of the most widely applied volumetric grid tariffs to include a peak-load charge.submitted by Valeriya Azarova, MScUniversität Linz, Dissertation, 2019OeBB(VLID)461993
