    Joule-Thomson Expansion of Charged AdS Black Holes

    In this paper, we study Joule-Thomson effects for charged AdS black holes. We obtain inversion temperatures and curves. We investigate similarities and differences between van der Waals fluids and charged AdS black holes for the expansion.     In this paper, we study Joule-Thomson expansion for Kerr-AdS black holes in the extended phase space. Joule-Thomson expansion formula of Kerr-AdS black holes is derived. We investigate both isenthalpic and numerical inversion curves in the T-P plane and demonstrate the cooling-heating regions for Kerr-AdS black holes.     INVESTIGATION OF THE EFFECTS OF 4-POINT SHOOTING RULES APPLIED IN BIG 3 BASKETBALL ORGANIZATION ON COMPETITION RESULTS IN NBA PLAY-OFFS

    The increasing physical characteristics and defensive performances of basketball players pushed the offensive players to play away from the rim. Developing technology and the development of training techniques and methods also affected the shooting performances of the players positively. The players have to shoot three-point shots from long distance because of the defensive pressure. This paper was inspired by the game rules of the Big 3 organization, which was held in the city of Charlotte in the United States. In this study, if the 4-point shot circles in the Big 3 organization were implemented in NBA Playoffs, we investigate the player's 4-point shots attempts, 4-point shots made, 4-point play types, 4-point shots shooting times and the effects of 4-point shots on match scores in NBA Play-offs. The research group consists of 373 three-point shots from 28-32 feet of 16 teams in the 2017-2018 NBA Playoffs, including statistics and match images from the NBA official website (www.nba.com). As a result, if the 4-point shot circles in the Big 3 organization were implemented in NBA Play-Offs, players would play with 32% a total shot of 106/373 in 4-point shots. It was observed that the most important factors for the players' use of 4-point shooting were due to the decrease in the shot clock, the early offense and the inability of the teams to organize anything in the offense.   Article visualizations

    The examination of strategİes of amateur and professİonal musicians’ use while practicing and learning music in the instruments

    Bu çalışmanın amacı, Türkiye’deki amatör ile profesyonel müzisyenlerin enstrümanlarındaki müziği çalışırken ve öğrenirken kullandıkları stratejilerin incelenmesidir. Bu stratejiler dikkat, yineleme, anlamlandırma, eklemleme-örgütleme ve anlamayı izleme stratejileridir. Çalışma grubunda 412’si amatör ve 103’ü profesyonel olmak üzere toplam 515 müzisyen yer almaktadır. Çalışmanın amatör müzisyenler grubunu Türkiye’deki 4 farklı güzel sanatlar lisesinde öğrenim görmekte olan 139 öğrenci ile 4 farklı müzik eğitimi anabilim dalında öğrenim görmekte olan 273 öğrenci oluşturmuştur. Çalışmanın profesyonel müzisyenler grubu ise 2016 yılında Türkiye’deki 4 farklı orkestrada görev yapan 103 orkestra sanatçısından oluşmuştur. Çalışmanın verileri Kişisel Bilgi Formu ve Enstrümantal Müziği Çalışırken ve Öğrenirken Kullanılan Stratejiler Ölçeği ile toplanmıştır. Çalışma sonucunda amatör müzisyenlerin dikkat ve eklemleme-örgütleme stratejilerine ilişkin düzeylerinin profesyonel müzisyenlerden yüksek olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Profesyonel müzisyenlerin ise anlamayı izleme stratejilerine ilişkin düzeylerinin amatör müzisyenlerden daha yüksek olduğu belirlenmiştir. Çalışma sonuçlarına dayalı olarak araştırmacılara amatör ile profesyonel müzisyenlerin enstrümantal müziği çalışırken ve öğrenirken kullandıkları stratejilerin deneysel boyutta incelendiği yeni çalışmalar yapabilecekleri önerisi getirilmişti

    Employees’ perception of value-added activity increase of Robotic Process Automation with time and cost efficiency: a case study

    Implementation of Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is ubiquitous in the financial industry. However, the consequences are not clear enough in terms of strategic perspective. Drawing upon the theory of Task-Technology Fit, this study explores the emerging consequences with the exploratory sequential method. Data related to the time and cost of processes before and after the RPA implementation were collected and descriptively analyzed. Even though time and cost efficiency improvements occurred in 50 out of 54 of the processes, the results indicated no labor reduction after the RPA implementation and no cost reduction in some business units, contrary to reports in the literature. To investigate what happened to the human resource environment, we surveyed 106 employees who were affected by the implementation of RPA. No variance was found between the characteristics of the employees and the changes in the working environment. However, the descriptive results of the survey revealed that employees’ perception of value-added activities increased. These results provided that considering RPA as a routine process without calculating the strategic value creates process-oriented transformation with a lack of time and cost-efficiency

Y2O3 buffer layer was placed to bottom of the pellets consist of Y123: Y211 powder mixtures. Two samples were fabricated in stoichiometric ratios of 1:0 and 1:0.4 labeled as Y0 and Y40, respectively. The T-c onset values of Y0 and Y40 were found to be 93.4 and 93.6 K at 0 T, respectively. The dependence of the effective activation energy U of the flux pinning on the magnetic field and temperature of the sample were determined using the Arrhenius activation energy law from the resistivity curves. The magnetization measurements were performed using a vibrating sample magnetometer (VSM) at 30, 50 and 77 K. The critical current densities (J(c)) for Y0 and Y40 samples were determined to be 5.1x10(3) and 3.7x10(3) A/cm(2) at 77 K in 0 T, respectively.     DergiPark: 288694trakyaiibfBu çalışmanın amacı teşvik sistemi kapsamında yapılan yatırımların İBBS Düzey2 ve Düzey3 bölgelerinin ihracatına etkisini incelemektir. Bu bağlamda 26 Düzey2 ve 81 Düzey3 bölgesinin 2002-2015 yılları arasında çeyrek dönemlerdeki teşvik belgeli yatırım verileri kullanılmıştır. Çalışmada panel veri yöntemini kullanılmıştır. Ulaşılan sonuçlara göre; Düzey2 bölgelerinin geneli için teşvik belgeli yatırımlar ihracatı artırıcı etki yapmaktadır. Ancak katkı oldukça düşük düzeydedir. Yatırım miktarının %1 artması ihracatı % 0.023 gibi küçük oranda artırmaktadır. Bölgelerin bireysel etkilerinin çoğu istatistiki olarak anlamlı değildir.Düzey3 bölgeleri için de teşvik belgeli yatırımların ihracata katkısı oldukça düşük olup yatırım miktarının %1 artması ihracatı %0.027 düzeyinde artırmaktadır.     The effect of excess Y2O3 addition on the mechanical properties of melt-processed YBCO superconductor

    In this study, two kinds of melt-processed YBCO samples with Y2O3 addition were fabricated and their microstructures were defined by XRD analysis and polarized light optical microscopy. The mechanical properties of these compounds have been investigated by measuring the Vickers hardness. The superconducting transition temperature was determined by inductive measurements for oxygenated and non-oxygenated samples. The compacted powders were located on a crucible with a buffer layer of Y2O3 and a crucible with Y2O3 powder freely poured to avoid liquid to spread on the furnace plate. It was found that the sample located on crucible with freely poured Y2O3 powder has shown almost single crystal and indicated a very sharp transition curve
