Cutaneous lupus erythematosus (CLE) is a rare, potentially disfiguring, chronic autoimmune disease with extremely variable skin and mucosal membrane manifestations. Hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) is an antimalarial drug that has been used in various countries to treat autoimmune diseases including CLE. HCQ was banned for a long time in Japan because of severe chloroquine retinopathy and was reapproved as a first-line treatment for CLE in 2015. There are no case reports describing the effectiveness of HCQ for CLE with oral mucosal lesions in the dental field. We present a case of CLE whose oral lesions were successfully treated with HCQ

A study on traditional dyeing by plant extract from fallen leaves of cherry tree was carried out. The effects of pH of dip bath on dyeabilities were investigated. The extraction liquid was prepared by dissolving sodium carbonate into distilled water at the concentration of (0.05~10) g/ℓ. Dip bath was prepared from the mixture of the extract and buffer, and the dipping liquid was adjusted at pH 3~7. Estimation of dyeability of dyed fabric was carried out by measuring L* ,a* and b* using a spectro-color meter. Dyeing of twilled silk was carried out through mordant dyeing using several mordants. The remarkable effect of pH of dye bath was clarified, and excellent and clear dyeability was obtained in the case of high value of pH 5~6. Superior dyeability was obtained at pH 6 in the case of iron mordanting, and clear deep grey dyeing was given, and dyeability was low at pH 3~4 and 7. Difference of dyeability obtained by two extracts, one by distilled water and the other by tap water was investigated. Dyeability of extract by tap water was clarified more superior than by distilled water

The Effects on dyeability of pH of extraction liquid were investigated. The pH values of extraction liquid were adjusted at 6-12, using buffer solutions. Dip bath was prepared from the mixture of neutrized extract and buffer solution. pH of the dipping liquid was adjusted at 3-7 using the buffer solution. Dyeing clothes of twilled fabric of silk were used for the experiments. Dyeability was estimated using spectro-color meter by measuring L*, a*, and b*. The effect of pH of extrction liquid on dyeability was distinct. At higher pH values of 11 and 12, increased dyeability was obtained and the fabric dyed very dark brown. At lower pH values of 8-10, lower dyeability was found and it dyed clear and light. However the color property was superior. The effects of repeat dyeing were investigated. When times of repeat dyeing were increased, chenges of hue and distinction were observed, and deep colors were obtained. Especially the color difference was very large between the first and the second dyeing
