    Tujuan dari penelitian ini yaitu mengetahui tingkat akurasi datapenginderaan jauh dan mengetahui lokasi daerah yang memenuhi kriteria sesuaiuntuk digunakan menjadi Perumahan kelas menengah di Kota Surabaya. Metodeyang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah uji akurasi, tumpangsusun danpemberian harkat. Hasil penelitian berupa uji ketelitian interpretasi bentuklahansebesar 89,47 % dan ketelitian interpretasi penggunaan lahan sebesar 79,45 %.Peta yang dihasilkan dari faktor fisik lahan dan faktor aksesibilitas yaitu lahandengan kriteria sesuai seluas 13.17 km2 atau 4% dari luas daerah penelitian,terletak di Surabaya bagian Barat dan kriteria sesuai bersyarat seluas 316.48 km2atau 96% dari luas daerah penelitian

    Model evaluation and optimisation of nutrient removal potential for sequencing batch reactors

    Performance of sequencing batch reactors for simultaneous nitrogen and phosphorus removal is evaluated by means of model simulation, using the activated sludge model, ASM2d, involving anoxic phosphorus uptake, recently proposed by the IAWQ Task group. The evaluation includes all major process configurations with different aerobic, anoxic, anaerobic sequences, and fill conditions. Basic relationships between modelling and design based on overall process stoichiometry are established for the interpretation of nutrient profiles associated with different operation modes.     Learning curve using the Sunnybrook Facial Grading System in assessing facial palsy:An observational study in 100 patients

    Little is known about facial function assessments of inexperienced observers in facial palsy. In this observational study learning curve was examined of two inexperienced observers assessing facial function of 100 patients using the Sunnybrook Facial Grading System. Interobserver agreement gradually improved over time, stabilizing after approximately 70 assessments. Best agreement on the voluntary movement subscore was observed, followed by synkinesis and resting symmetry subscores. Inexperienced observers can perform facial function assessments in facial palsy, but should be adequately trained first

    Health-related quality of life in facial palsy:translation and validation of the Dutch version Facial Disability Index

    Contains fulltext : 229876.pdf (publisher's version ) (Open Access)PURPOSE: Patient-reported outcome measures are essential in the evaluation of facial palsy. Aim of this study was to translate and validate the Facial Disability Index (FDI) for use in the Netherlands. METHODS: The FDI was translated into Dutch according to a forward-backward method. Construct validity was assessed by formulating 22 hypotheses regarding associations of FDI scores with the Facial Clinimetric Evaluation scale, the Synkinesis Assessment Questionnaire, the Short Form-12 and the Sunnybrook Facial Grading System. Validity was considered adequate if at least 75% (i.e. 17 out of 22) of the hypotheses were confirmed. Additionally, confirmatory factor analysis was performed. Cronbach's α was calculated as a measure of internal consistency. Participants were asked to fill out the FDI a second time after 2 weeks to analyse test-retest reliability. Lastly, smallest detectable change was calculated. RESULTS: In total, 19 hypotheses (86.4%) were confirmed. Confirmatory factor analysis showed acceptable fit for the two factor structure of the original FDI (root mean square error of approximation = 0.064, standardized root mean square residual = 0.081, comparative fit index = 0.925, Chi-square = 50.22 with 34 degrees of freedom). Internal consistency for the FDI physical function scale was good (α > 0.720). Internal consistency for the FDI social/well-being scale was slightly less (α > 0.574). Test-retest reliability for both scales was good (intraclass correlation coefficients > 0.786). Smallest detectable change at the level of the individual was 17.6 points for the physical function and 17.7 points for the social/well-being function, and at group level 1.9 points for both scales. CONCLUSION: The Dutch version FDI shows good psychometric properties. The relatively large values for individual smallest detectable change may limit clinical use. The translation and widespread use of the FDI in multiple languages can help to compare treatment results internationally

    The Deconfinement Phase Transition in One-Flavour QCD

    We present a study of the deconfinement phase transition of one-flavour QCD, using the multiboson algorithm. The mass of the Wilson fermions relevant for this study is moderately large and the non-hermitian multiboson method is a superior simulation algorithm. Finite size scaling is studied on lattices of size 83×48^3\times 4, 123×412^3\times 4 and 163×416^3\times 4. The behaviours of the peak of the Polyakov loop susceptibility, the deconfinement ratio and the distribution of the norm of the Polyakov loop are all characteristic of a first-order phase transition for heavy quarks. As the quark mass decreases, the first-order transition gets weaker and turns into a crossover. To investigate finite size scaling on larger spatial lattices we use an effective action in the same universality class as QCD. This effective action is constructed by replacing the fermionic determinant with the Polyakov loop identified as the most relevant Z(3) symmetry breaking term. Higher-order effects are incorporated in an effective Z(3)-breaking field, hh, which couples to the Polyakov loop. Finite size scaling determines the value of hh where the first order transition ends. Our analysis at the end - point, heph_{ep}, indicates that the effective model and thus QCD is consistent with the universality class of the three dimensional Ising model. Matching the field strength at the end point, heph_{ep}, to the κ\kappa values used in the dynamical quark simulations we estimate the end point, κep\kappa_{ep}, of the first-order phase transition. We find κep0.08\kappa_{ep}\sim 0.08 which corresponds to a quark mass of about 1.4 GeV .Comment: LaTex, 25 pages, 18 figure

    Influenza and respiratory syncytial virus in infants study (IRIS) of hospitalized and non-ill infants aged <1 year in four countries: study design and methods

    Abstract Background This multi-country prospective study of infants aged <1 year aims to assess the frequency of influenza virus and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) infections associated with hospitalizations, to describe clinical features and antibody response to infection, and to examine predictors of very severe disease requiring intensive care. Methods/Design We are enrolling a hospital-based cohort and a sample of non-ill infants in four countries (Albania, Jordan, Nicaragua, and the Philippines) using a common protocol. We are currently starting year 2 of a 2- to 3-year study and will enroll approximately 3,000 infants hospitalized for any acute illness (respiratory or non-respiratory) during periods of local influenza and/or RSV circulation. After informed consent and within 24 h of admission, we collect blood and respiratory specimens and conduct an interview to assess socio-demographic characteristics, medical history, and symptoms of acute illness (onset ≤10 days). Vital signs, interventions, and medications are documented daily through medical record abstraction. A follow-up health assessment and collection of convalescent blood occurs 3-5 weeks after enrollment. Influenza and RSV infection is confirmed by singleplex real time reverse transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (rRT-PCR) assays. Serologic conversion will be assessed comparing acute and convalescent sera using hemagglutination inhibition assay for influenza antibodies and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for RSV. Concurrent with hospital-based enrollment, respiratory specimens are also being collected (and tested by rRT-PCR) from approximately 1,400 non-ill infants aged <1 year during routine medical or preventive care. Discussion The Influenza and RSV in Infants Study (IRIS) promises to expand our knowledge of the frequency, clinical features, and antibody profiles of serious influenza and RSV disease among infants aged <1 year, quantify the proportion of infections that may be missed by traditional surveillance, and inform decisions about the potential value of existing and new vaccines and other prevention and treatment strategies.https://deepblue.lib.umich.edu/bitstream/2027.42/136185/1/12879_2017_Article_2299.pd
