    Development of social intelligence test for high school student

    Measurement of social intelligence on high school students are not available. The study aims to generate an instrument to measure social intelligence of high school students comprehensively. Product development of instruments and manual social intelligence for high school students who revised based on judge of two experts in instrumentation and social intelligence, readability test of the 100 high school students, reliability testing and validity testing to the 956 high school students. Expert judges by using the inter-rater agreement models show a high index between variables and sub-variables until descriptors and the items. Reliability test result by using Alpha coefficient of internal consistency obtained for 0.899. The construct validity of non-verbal test shows that there are six factors and verbal test shows that there are four factors. The validation process of exploratory factor analysis showed loading factor ranges between 0.566-0.996. The norms of social intelligence tests classify into six levels

    Abstract: This article examines the existence of career guidance and counseling in the digital era. This study is in the form of a literature review to understand the reality of career guidance and counseling in the digital age and its impact on information, choices, and counseli career decisions. Researchers analyzed nine articles published in the 2020-2022 timeframes. All articles are written in English. The results showed that research on career guidance and counseling in the digital era has implications for meeting the increasing needs for career guidance and counseling services, especially in developing countries. These findings specifically highlight the guidance and career counseling in the digital age through the intermediary of electronic information and communications technology (ICT) devices, including career e-counseling, digital modules, flipped classrooms, career and educational guidance systems.Keywords: career guidance, career counseling, e-counseling, information and communications technology, digital moduleAbstrak: Artikel ini mengkaji tentang eksistensi bimbingan dan konseling karir di era digital. Studi ini dalam bentuk literature review untuk memahami bagaimana eksistensi bimbingan dan konseling karir di era digital serta dampaknya bagi informasi, pilihan, keputusan karir konseli. Peneliti melakukan analisis terhadap 9 artikel yang diterbitkan dalam rentang waktu tahun 2020-2022. Semua artikel ditulis dalam bahasa Inggris. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penelitian pada topik eksistensi bimbingan dan konseling karir di era digital memiliki implikasi terhadap pemenuhan kebutuhan layanan bimbingan dan konseling karir yang terus meningkat khususnya pada negara-negara berkembang.     This article examines the leadership of school principals to create effective schools. This study is in the form of a literature review to understand how principals create effective schools and their impact on improving the quality of schools in general.     This study aims to determine the effectiveness of role playing in improving student learning discipline. The research design was one group pretest - posttest design. Role playing interventions were held 4 times. The population in this study amounted to 339 people. From this population identified as having low learning discipline from the results of the learning discipline questionnaire, then separated and devoted to being given intervention with role playing. The sample in this study amounted to 35 subjects who were identified as having learning discipline with a low category with a value, 6 students in the experimental group showed an average of 141.5 and 6 students in the control group showed an average of 144, 2. Role playing techniques were effective to improve Junior high school student learning discipline. This is based on testing the hypothesis that the results of the paired 't' test show that the average difference in student learning discipline before the role playing intervention and after the role playing intervention is 5.77143, meaning that there is an increase in learning discipline after the role playing intervention with an average of 5.77143. 5.77. the result of the calculation of the value "t" is 6,086 with Sig. .000. it means that the application of role playing is effective to improve student learning discipline

    The national exam raises various demands. Students feel they are required to achieve an achievement. These demands can put pressure on the potential to cause stress on students. The stress experienced by students at a mild level actually makes students excited to learn in the face of national exams, but at a later stage stress can cause complaints from students. The research objective was to identify the stress level of students before the secondary education level national exam. This research uses descriptive research with a quantitative approach (descriptive research). Research instrument to measure stress level based on symptoms / symptoms arising from individuals experiencing stress using the DASS Instrument (depression anxiety stress scale). The results showed that 8% of students experienced severe stress, 24% of students experienced moderate stress, 50% of students experienced stress at a mild level and 18% of students experienced stress at a normal level and no students experienced stress at a normal level. very heavy. Researchers suggest: 1) increasing the number of research subjects so that they can generalize research data, 2) controlling for other factors that are thought to affect students' stress levels such as social support from family, the role of guidance teachers in schools, and the personalities of students who are vulnerable to stress

    A numerical aptitude test is a test designed to identify how well a person can understand ideas and concepts expressed in the form of numbers and how easily one can think and solve the problems stated in the form of numbers. Mathematics learning achievement is the mastery of knowledge or numeracy skills that appear from the results / achievements learned by high school students. The study used quantitative design with the number of subjects 154 high school students. The instrument used is Differential Apptitude Test (DAT). The result of statistical test by using linear regression analysis shows that the achievement of learning mathematics of high school students is significantly influenced by numerical talent ability with regression equation as follows: mathematics learning achievement = 8,084 + (2,549 x numerical talent)

    Counseling Study Program at Pattimura University in 2015/2016 academic year. The research variables are the problems faced by the students. The present research is a survey study. The data were collected through the instruments of Problem Check List (General DCM). Sampling technique using stratified random sampling. There were 315 students then by using Slovin`s formula we taken 177 students as a sample with error standart 5%. The data were analyzed using percentages. The results show that the students in general, still had some problems which inhibited them in their study completion. The problems needed to be solved. The problems were personal problems, physical and health, social relations, economic and financial problems, carrier and work, education and study, religious problems, value and moral problems, young couple relationship and marriage problems, family problems, and the problems related to their spare time

    Persepsi Mahasiswa Terhadap Implementasi Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM)

    Abstract: Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) is a newly established policy in Indonesia for higher education. Pattimura University is one of the universities that has implemented MBKM as a curriculum. This study aims to assess the implementation of MBKM from students' perspectives. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative. The technique used for data collection is to use a survey. The results of this study indicate that students of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education at Pattimura University agree and strongly agree with the MBKM curriculum; independent study activities as much as 82%, entrepreneurial activities as much as 86%, research activities as much as 87%, student exchange activities, practical work/internship activities, teaching assistance activities as much as 88%, as well as humanitarian project activities and thematic actual work lecture activities as much as 90%.Keywords: curriculum implementation; MBKM; student perception Abstrak: Merdeka Belajar Kampus (MBKM) merupakan kebijakan yang baru ditetapkan di Indonesia untuk pendidikan tinggi. Universitas Pattimura adalah salah satu perguruan tinggi yang telah menerapkan MBKM sebagi kurikulum. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menilaipelaksanaan MBKM dari perspektif mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Teknik yang digunakan untuk pengumpulan data adalah dengan menggunakan survei. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa mahasiswa Fakultas Keguruan dan Ilmu Pendidikan di Universitas Pattimura menyatakan setuju dan/atau sangat setuju dengan kurikulum MBKM, baik dari kegiatan studi independen sebanyak 82%, kegiatan wirausaha sebanyak 86%, kegiatan riset sebanyak 87%, kegiatan pertukaran pelajar, kegiatan praktik kerja/magang, kegiatan asistensi mengajar sebanyak 88%, serta kegiatan proyek kemanusiaan dan kegiatan kuliah kerja nyata tematik sebanyak 90%.Kata kunci: implementasi kurikulum; MBKM; persepsi mahasisw

    Bibliometric analysis of school improvement research: A century of scholarly contributions

    This study aims to comprehensively review the historical development and current status of research in the field of school improvement using a bibliometric analysis approach. Recognizing the vital role of schools in society and the necessity for their constant evolution, it is essential to understand the breadth and depth of scholarly efforts in school improvement. Using the Scopus index, 596 English language journal articles on school improvement published between 1916 and 2023 were identified and analyzed. Utilizing the VOSviewer software, the bibliometric analysis was conducted in two stages: descriptive statistics to understand the trend of document volumes and co-authorship countries, and a multidimensional scaling technique to visualize co-authorship, co-occurrence, and citation networks. The data revealed a consistent rise in publication volume over the years, with a peak in 2020. Despite contributions from 45 countries, the United States and the United Kingdom were the most prolific. However, author collaboration was found to be minimal, suggesting potential for broader partnerships. The study also identified key research themes such as leadership, distributed leadership, and accountability through keyword co-occurrence analysis. The most frequently cited literature emphasized the role of collaboration, instructional program coherence, and school culture in school improvement. The findings underscore the necessity for increased global collaboration, exploration of emerging themes, and enhanced geographical representation in future research to further enrich the knowledge base in this vital educational field
