    Language Functions Used by the Main Character in Sherlock Holmes II: a Game of Shadows Movie

    This research focused on language functions used by the main character in “Sherlock Holmes” movie. The aims were to find the use of language functions and describe the dominant types of language functions used in “Sherlock Holmes” movie. The data were the dialogue of the main character in “Sherlock Holmes” movie in the first forty minutes of the movie. The research was conducted by using descriptive qualitative research. The findings show that there are six types of language functions used by the main character in “Sherlock Holmes” movie. They are expressive, directive, referential, metalinguistic, phatic, and poetic. The most dominant type of language function is metalinguistic. It means that the main character conveys code analysis by asking questions to the people so that he might invent clue for the sake of his investigation

    Semarang is one of biggest city in Java Island, so have potential of substantial revenue, including charges for services from the public's roadside parking. With the implementation and surveillance of parking service fees in the edge of public road at Semarang City aimed to explore the potential of the area by maximizing revenue as source of income to improve services for good regional development. One of the potential income derived from the retribution for public roadside parking service considering the number of vehicles in Semarang annually increased. For example the number of 2-wheel vehicles in 2010 about 119019 units and increased to 151286 in 2013. However the implementation are far from the current target because many found numerous violations. This study aims to describe how the implementation and surveillance of parking service fees in the edge of public road at Semarang and to investigate the inhibiting aspects of policy implementation. The method used is descriptive qualitative theory from Mazmanian and Sabatier also Van Meter and Horn. The results of the study in the location shows that the inhibiting aspects of policy implementation that is the attitude and communication. Based on the problems that found in the study, the authors giving out recommendations for improvements to existing problems such as: socialization and periodic supervision, increasing resolute sanctions and increasing the effectiveness of coordination between the implementing agencies

    :This research aims to investigatethe effective size of Climbing Grammar Mountain Game as a technique to reinforce the students mastery of Simple Present Tense in positive statement, negative statement, and question. The subject of this research is year-5 students; class VA of SDS KarunaSingkawang. This class consists of 32 students. This study was pre-experimental. The data were collected through written test in form of multiple choices. Based on the data analysis, the effect size ( ES ) is 0.67. Since it is between 0.2 and 0.8, the effect size is categorized as moderate. Therefore, Climbing Grammar Mountain Game is proved as an effective technique to reinforce the mastery of Simple Present Tense

    This study aims to obtain empirical evidence about the influence of corporate governance structure and audit tenure on the integrity of financial statements. Population ofthis research is manufacturing companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange starting from 2015-2017. The sample selection used purposive sampling method and retrieved 66 companies. In this research, analysis data used multiple regression method.The results show that the corporate governance structure, consisted of independent commissioners, managerial ownership and audit committees had positive and significant influence on the integrity of financial statements, but institusional ownership had no influence. Meanwhile, audite tenure had negative and significant influence on integrity of financialstatements

    Suatu perusahaan harus bekerja keras untuk memenangkan persaingan dengan menciptakan dan memberi nilai yang sangat unggul kepada para konsumen. Salah satu perusahaannya adalah PT Coca Cola Amatil Indonesia. Maka untuk menjaga posisinya bertahan perusahaan harus memahami karakteristik konsumen dan memahami bagaimana konsumen dalam memutuskan pembelian. Salah satu cara yang digunakan PT Coca Cola Amatil Indonesia adalah dengan meluncurkan produk unggulannya yakni Coca Cola bertema “70 Nama Indonesia”. Penelitian ini mengkaji tentang pengaruh bauran promosi terhadap keputusan pembelian konsumen Coca Cola versi Share A Coke “70 Nama Indonesia” di kota Bandung. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui seberapa besar pengaruh bauran promosi terhadap keputusan pembelian secara simultan dan secara parsial. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif kausal dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa kuesioner yang disebarkan kepada masyarakat di kota Bandung yang sedang atau pernah mengkonsumsi Coca Cola versi Share A Coke “70 Nama Indonesia”. Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah Nonprobability sampling dengan jumlah sampel 385 responden. Hasil penelitian menunjukan terdapat korelasi yang tinggi antara variabel bauran promosi (X) terhadap keputusan pembelian (Y) sebesar 0.788. Artinya, kemampuan bauran promosi dalam mempengaruhi keputusan pembelian konsumen Coca Cola versi Share A Coke “70 Nama Indonesia” adalah 78,8% dan sisanya 21,2% sebesarnya dipengaruhi oleh variabel lain yang tidak ada di dalam penelitian ini.     Damage to the skin will seriously affect human health and appearance, so the skin needs to be protected and maintained in good health. Kunyit (Curcuma domestica Val.) Which contains antioxidants can be processed into a product and used to solve the problems of people who live in tropical climates, such as problems with the skin due to frequent exposure to sunlight and causing free radicals. It is hoped that the development and processing of kunyit in Indonesia will increase, given that this product has many benefits and advantages in terms of health and economic value. The research method used was Curcuma Rhizoma simplicia extraction, Kunyit extract Hand Body lotion formulation, Kunyit extract Hand Body lotion hedonic test, and Kunyit extract Hand Body lotion Moisture Test. Based on the results of the organoleptic observation test, the formulation has a distinctive smell of turmeric, thick and yellow in color. In the favorite test of the Kunyit Extract Hand Body lotion, 75% of the panelists liked the color, 65% of the panelists liked the aroma, 66% of the panelists liked the texture, and 69% of the panelists liked the non-sticky impression. The percentage of humidity obtained from the panelists on average was 77% and it was included in the very humid categor
