    Ikan gurame (Osphronemus goramy) memiliki pertumbuhan yang relatif lambat. Salah satu cara untuk meningkatkan pertumbuhan ikan gurame dengan memberikan bahan tambahan. Kunyit memiliki zat aktif kurkumin yang merangsang dinding kantung empedu untuk mengeluarkan cairan empedu dan minyak atsiri mencegah keluarnya asam lambung yang berlebihan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi pemberian ekstrak kunyit dengan dosis yang berbeda pada pakan yang dapat memengaruhi biokimia darah dan kinerja pertumbuhan ikan gurame. Ekstrak kunyit dicampurkan ke dalam pakan dengan 4 dosis yaitu: 0; 0,05; 0,1; dan 0,15%. Ikan gurame (4,20±0,08 g) dipelihara dalam 12 akuarium (50 x 40 x 35 cm3) dengan kepadatan 10 ekor dalam 40 L selama 60 hari. Ikan dipelihara menggunakan sistem resirkulasi top filter dan diberi pakan secara at satiation sebanyak dua kali sehari pada pukul 08.00 dan 16.00. Parameter uji yang diamati yaitu biokimia darah (kolesterol, trigliserida, HDL, LDL, dan glukosa), jumlah konsumsi pakan, laju pertumbuhan harian, efisiensi pakan, kelangsungan hidup, retensi protein, retensi lemak, indeks hepato-somatik, kadar lemak hati, dan kadar glikogen hati. Rancangan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah rancangan acak lengkap dengan empat perlakuan dan tiga ulangan. Data kinerja pertumbuhan dan parameter hati dianalisis secara statistik dengan ANOVA menggunakan program SPSS 17.0. Parameter yang berbeda nyata (p<0,05) dilakukan uji lanjut menggunakan analisis Tukey. Parameter biokimia darah dianalisis secara deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian ekstrak kunyit 0,15% pada pakan dapat memengaruhi biokimia darah tetapi tidak memengaruhi kinerja pertumbuhan ikan gurame

    Dual phase is a new structure at low or medium carbon steel. The structure is obtained from the heating of low or medium carbon steel in the region α + γ (temperatures between A1-A3), then follow by holding process within a certain time and cooled quickly (quench) in water,brine or oil. The result has a microstructure of martensite and ferrite as well as a few otherstructures. The steel usually has high tensile strength, good elongation and there is no discontinuity yield. The problem is how the influence of parameters milling process on surface roughness the dual phase carbon steel The purpose of this study was to determine the outcome Freis CNC cutting conditions due to the formation process of double and tempering phase that begins with the process of forging (forging) on carbon steel .This study used AISI1045 steel Ø16mm x 150mm diameter, which was forged at a temperature of 950oC-900oC to form a rectangular cross section with a size of 10mm x 16mm x 180mm. Dual-phase heating was continued at a temperature of 770ºC, arrested at 90 'and cooled rapidly in oil , followed by atempering process 600⁰C/30 '. The process of cutting was done by cutting finishing with feeding 0.12; 0.14; 0.16 mm / put and depth of cut 0.4; 0.6; 0.8 mm while roughing cuts by feeding 0.2;0.4; 0.6 mm / put and depth of cut 1.2, 1.4;a1.6amm .The result Depth of cut can affect the deflection. The deflection could be increased by increasing the depth of cut. The results obtained increase the level of surface roughness. On the depth of cut 0.4 mm with feeding 0:16mm / put the value obtained average roughness Ra 0.64 μm, including group N6 roughness when compared with 0.8 mm depth of cut with the same feeding value of average roughness Ra 1.08 μm including N7. Surface roughness increased by feeding could affect the feeding of 0.12 mm / put and 0.16 mm / put, 0.2 mm / put and 0.6 mm /put because the distance from the cutting peak roughness increases, so the roughness of the rough and the process of finishing cuts on carbon steel dual phase is more subtle than on the untreated carbon steel with the same cutting parameters

    Magnetohydrodynamics flow past a moving vertical thin needle in a nanofluid with stability analysis

    In this study, we intend to present the dynamics of a system based on the model of convective heat and mass transfer in magnetohydrodynamics (MHD) flow past a moving vertical thin needle in nanofluid. The problem is formulated in mathematical form by using Buongiorno’s model with the modified boundary condition. The transformed boundary layer ordinary differential equations are solved numerically using the bvp4c function in MATLAB software. The effects of the involved parameters, including, Brownian motion, thermophoresis, magnetic field, mixed convection, needle size and velocity ratio parameter on the flow, heat and mass transfer coefficients are analyzed. The numerical results obtained for the skin friction coefficients, local Nusselt number and local Sherwood number, as well as the velocity, temperature and concentration profiles are graphically presented and have been discussed in detail. The study reveals that the dual solutions appear when the needle and the buoyancy forces oppose the direction of the fluid motion, and the range of the dual solutions existing depends largely on the needle size and magnetic parameter. The presence of the magnetic field in this model reduces the coefficient of the skin friction and heat transfer, while it increases the coefficient of the mass transfer on the needle surface. A stability analysis has been performed to identify which of the solutions obtained are linearly stable and physically relevant. It is noticed that the upper branch solutions are stable, while the lower branch solutions are not

    Optimisation of mixed drink made from red cabbage (Brassica oleracea L.) and roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa L.) extracts

    Response surface methodology (RSM) was employed for optimising the formulation and processing parameters of red cabbage-roselle mixed drink. In this study, four independent variables namely red cabbage-roselle extracts concentration (30 to 70%), stingless honey concentration (1–10%), pasteurisation temperature (70–90°C), and pasteurisation time (30–300 s) were studied in order to determine the effect of the formulation (ingredients) and processing parameters towards the colour and anthocyanins content of the mixed drinks. Thirty different experimental combinations generated by RSM design were studied on the responses i.e. colour values (L*, a*, b*) and total anthocyanin content of red cabbage-roselle mixed drink. The optimal formulation and processing condition were obtained with a 70% combination of red cabbage-roselle extracts concentration and 1% of stingless honey concentration, with pasteurisation temperature, and time of 70.01°C and 284.07 s, respectively. In order to verify the models, the experimental values were compared with the predicted values to check the adequacy of the models. The experimental values were found to be in agreement with those predicted, thus, indicating the suitability of the models used by RSM to optimise the formulation and processing parameters of mixed drinks made from red cabbage and roselle extracts

    The main competence of 21st century technical and vocational education and training (TVET) teachers is the ability to integrate technology into the learning process effectively. However, the concept of learning is now shifting to technological involvement, learning approaches, and needs in accordance with the curriculum of the world of work must be integrated to produce learning outcomes that are able to compete in obtaining work opportunities. The technological pedagogical content knowledge (TPACK) model used in general learning needs to be assessed according to the context of innovation in the TVET learning field. The purpose of this study is to analyze the teaching and learning of TVET teachers who are professionals with the approach of Technology, Andragogy and Work towards Content Knowledge (CK). Study of qualitative methods in the form of document analysis is identified by the philosophy of the learning approach at TVET and the current TVET learning model. The analysis results recommend that the technology andragogy work content knowledge (TAWOCK) model is considered important to be developed in TVET learning. Characteristics of these findings include the involvement of learning using technology, increasing the level of learning for andragogy, adjusting work competence, and curriculum content developed on the concept of knowledge. Finally TPACK has been modified to TAWOCK to study in the TVET field

    MHD Jeffrey nanofluid past a stretching sheet with viscous dissipation effect

    This study investigates the influence of viscous dissipation on magnetohydrodynamic (MHD) flow of Jeffrey nanofluid over a stretching sheet with convective boundary conditions. The nonlinear partial differential equations are reduced into the nonlinear ordinary differential equations by utilizing the similarity transformation variables. The Runge-Kutta Fehlberg method is used to solve the problem numerically. The numerical solutions obtained are presented graphically for several dimensionless parameters such as Brownian motion, Lewis number and Eckert number on the specified temperature and concentration profiles. It is noted that the temperature profile is accelerated due to increasing values of Brownian motion parameter and Eckert number. In contrast, both the Brownian motion parameter and Lewis number have caused the deceleration in the concentration profiles
