This study was carried out to estimate the effectiveness of newly developed Islamic Counseling Protocol (ICP) in managing the level of stress, anxiety and depression of university students at IUB. For this purpose, a pilot-testing was conducted on a sample of (N=24) volunteer university students who scored higher on DASS-42 scale. The participants were further divided into two groups (n=12) experimental group and (n=12) control group. After the screening process (pre-testing), the Islamic Counseling Protocol (ICP) was administered as a treatment/intervention on a sample of (n=12) participants of experimental group. The control group did not receive any treatment or intervention. After completing the 8-weeks sessions of Islamic Counseling, the post-test analysis was conducted. The follow-up session was conducted for 3 months. The results from pre-test, post-test and follow-up analysis revealed a significant healing effect of using Islamic Counseling Protocol (ICP) on the mental health of university students. The statistical analysis (Paired sample t-test and Mean differences) showed a significant reduced level of mental health problems in the participants of experimental group (post-test analysis). Similarly, the follow-up assessment also showed reduced mental health problems for 3 months. Hence, the Islamic Counseling Protocol (ICP) proved as a significant tool to manage the mental health issues of the university students

The development of drugs against Acanthamoeba infections

For the past several decades, there has been little improvement in the morbidity and mortality associated with Acanthamoeba keratitis and Acanthamoeba encephalitis, respectively. The discovery of a plethora of antiacanthamoebic compounds has not yielded effective marketed chemotherapeutics. The rate of development of novel antiacanthamoebic chemotherapies of translational value and the lack of interest of the pharmaceutical industry in developing such chemotherapies have been disappointing. On the other hand, the market for contact lenses/contact lens disinfectants is a multi-billion-dollar industry and has been successful and profitable. A better understanding of drugs, their targets, and mechanisms of action will facilitate the development of more-effective chemotherapies. Here, we review the progress toward phenotypic drug discovery, emphasizing the shortcomings of useable therapies

The social and collaborative nature of requirements elicitation process bases its core dependency on aptitude, attitudes, and personality characteristics of its participants. The participant's personality characteristics are directly related with their personality traits, which can be categorized using different model has been used successfully for the assessments of personality of software engineers since last few decades. In this article, the personality traits for requirements elicitation teams have been predicted using MBTI personality assessments model, on the basis of their industry demands job descriptions/tasks and major soft skills. The article presents a complete personality prediction process using a systematic approach based on major soft skills mapping with job descriptions, personality attributes and personality. The obtained results show that extroversion and feelings personality traits are the most suitable assigned the task of requirements elicitation. The obtained results are very much aligned with the already published scholar's work for software engineer's personality assessments and development team composition

This study aimed to analyse breastfeeding practice among teenage mothers. The study was conducted on 16 teenage mothers in and outside the city of Bandungan Subdistrict of Semarang District, Indonesia. Current study used qualitative exploratory observational studies with in-depth interview and observation method for obtaining breastfeeding behaviour data. Anthropometric measurements of teenage mother were measured to determine nutritional status. Results showed that half of the women (50%) had only elementary school education. Regarding marital status, 13 mothers (81.25%) were not ready for marriage, while the rest were married. Unwanted pregnancy happened to 9 mothers (4 in the city and 5 outside the city). The majority of mothers (81.25%) had normal nutritional status. Majority of mothers lacked the knowledge of early breastfeeding initiation and breast milk. Mothers’ attitude (cognitive, affective, and conative) toward breastfeeding were found to be negative, despite others realized its importance. Family, health professionals and peers support were less optimal. The majority of mothers (87.5%) provided non-exclusive breastfeeding and 2 mothers (12.5 %) stopped breastfeeding. Specific intervention is needed for successful exclusive breastfeeding among teenage mothers. Keywords: Early Marriage, Breastfeeding, Teenage Mother, Adolescent
