FRUIT ENZYMES AND THEIR APPLICATION: A REVIEW
Fruit refers to the edible part of the plant consisting of seeds & its covering, which includes pulp fruits, dry fruits, grains, nuts, herbs etc. Enzymes are those proteins, which acts as catalyst within the living cells. Catalysts are substances which increases the rate of reaction without being a part of it or permanently altered themselves. In this paper, we have discussed about enzyme i.e. papain, ficain, bromelain, and lipoxygenase. During the discussion, we have detailed explained about enzymes with their origin, extraction process and their application in food and other industry.

Study of correlation of gestational age estimation by new ballard score with inter mammary distance in new born
Background: It is important to recognise preterm babies as they have a different set of problems than term babies. Methods: Study was done over a period of 2 years.254 new-borns ranging in gestational age from 27 to 42 weeks were studied in MYH Hospital, Indore. Results: Intermammary distance and gestational age showed a positive correlation with a correlation coefficient of 0.9. SGA and AGA babies had correlation coefficient of 0.95 and 0.89 respectively. Conclusions: Intermammary distance of 69.60mm can be used to differentiate preterm and term babies. This simple measurement can be easily used by peripheral health workers at remote places to differentiate between term and preterm babies

A study of effect of medications on patients with non complicated acute bronchitis
Background: Authors define acute bronchitis as a self-limiting infection of large airways, which is characterized by cough without pneumonia. NSAIDS (Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs) are prescribed in patients with Lower Respiratory Tract Infections (LRTI). In cough, fever and chest pain it is common practice to prescribe NSAIDS or antibiotics. Authors have conducted assessment of effect of medications in the resolution of cough of patients with uncomplicated acute bronchitis. Methods: It was a single blinded randomized clinical trial conducted in patients admitted to pulmonary medicine department of government medical college Shivpuri. Patients were from age group 18 to 70 years presenting with respiratory tract infection of less than one week’s duration, with cough as the predominant symptom and diagnosed with non-complicated acute bronchitis. Patients were randomized into two groups, group A and B according to medications. Results: Among 120 participants were randomized (60 to ibuprofen and 60 to antibiotic). The median number of days with frequent cough was slightly lower among patients of group A (12 days) compared with those receiving amoxicillin-clavulanic acid (14 days). No significant difference was found. Adverse effect was seen in 24 patients, which was most common in group B (15.25%) than group A (9.15%). p<0.05).Conclusions: No significant differences were observed in the number of days with cough between patients with uncomplicated acute bronchitis treated with ibuprofen or amoxicillin-clavulanic acid
Revving up for the future: an inductive power transfer system geared for vehicular applications
Energized by the prospect of decluttering the charging infrastructure by severing the bulky power cords used to charge an Electric Vehicle (EV), an innovative technique to wirelessly charge an EV battery known as Inductive Power Transfer (IPT) has garnered widespread acceptance. This thesis introduces the design of an integrated stationary IPT system with an optimized power control algorithm and efficiency maximization to transfer power from a transmitter pad positioned on the ground and the receiver pad embedded under the chassis of an EV. Magnetic analysis for the charging coil architecture is facilitated via simulations in Ansys Maxwell. The power electronics design focuses on implementation of an H-bridge converter incorporating Series-Series (SS) compensation topology to utilize a novel control algorithm to prioritize battery charging operation. The system is validated through a simulation model in PSIM and a hardware-in-the-loop simulation in Typhoon HIL before hardware implementation and testing of the developed prototype
Non-thermal neutrino-like hot dark matter in light of the tension
The CDM prediction of --
where is the root mean square of matter fluctuations on a 8
Mpc scale -- once calibrated on Planck CMB data is lower
than its direct estimate by a number of weak lensing surveys. In this paper, we
explore the possibility that the '-tension' is due to a non-thermal hot
dark matter (HDM) fractional contribution to the universe energy density
leading to a power suppression at small-scales in the matter power spectrum.
Any HDM models can be characterized by its effective mass
and its contribution to the relativistic degrees of freedom at CMB decoupling
. Taking the specific example of a sterile particle
produced from the decay of the inflaton during a matter dominated era, we find
that from Planck only the tension can be reduced below , but Planck
does not favor a non-zero . In
combination with a measurement of from KIDS1000+BOSS+2dfLenS, the
-tension would hint at the existence of a particle of mass with a contribution to . However, Pantheon and BOSS BAO/ data
restricts the particle mass to
and contribution to . We
discuss implications of our results for other canonical non-thermal HDM models
-- the Dodelson-Widrow model and a thermal sterile particle with a different
temperature in the hidden sector. We report competitive results on such hidden
sector temperature which might have interesting implications for particle
physics model building, in particular connecting the -tension to the
longstanding short baseline oscillation anomaly.Comment: accepted Physical Review D, new figures, references and discussion

Realization of Programmable BPSK Demodulator-Bit Synchronizer using Multirate Processing
This paper presents the design and implementation of programmable BPSK demodulator and bit synchronizer. The demodulator is based on the Costas loop design whereas the bit synchronizer is based on Gardner timing error detector. The advantage of this design is that it offers programmability using multi-rate processing and does not rely on computation of filter coefficients, NCO angle input for each specific data rate and thus avoids computational complexities. The algorithm and its application were verified on Matlab-Simulink and was implemented on ALTERA platform. A 32 kHz BPSK demodulator–bit synchronizer pair catering for data rates from 1 kbps to 8 kbps was implemented.DOI:http://dx.doi.org/10.11591/ijece.v4i3.556
Impact Of Music Therapy On Stress Management
Music, as an art form holds a special place in human culture. It encompasses a wide range of sounds and melodies that evoke emotions, thoughts, and memories. Traditional philosophies define music as tones ordered horizontally (as melodies) and vertically (as harmonies). Music theory, within this realm, is studied with the presupposition that music is orderly and often pleasant to hear. Music Therapy is the clinical & evidence-based use of music interventions to accomplish individualized goals within a therapeutic relationship by a credentialed professional who has completed an approved music therapy program. Studies suggest that those undergoing music therapy experience reduced anxiety immediately after the session, which indicates that music therapy could be a convenient way to reduce symptoms quickly. Studies also suggest that music therapy can improve symptoms of depression, with those undergoing music therapy along with standard treatments for depression such as talking therapy improving more than people who only received standard therapy. Chen, X., Wei, Q., Jing, R., & Fan, Y. (2021) conducted a study on cancer patients to investigate the effects of music therapy on stress and quality of life. The results indicated that music therapy interventions significantly reduced stress levels and enhanced the overall quality of life for cancer patients1. In a study conducted by Shirsat, A., Jha, R. K., & Verma, P. (2023), researchers explored the impact of music therapy on individuals with Alzheimer's disease. They found that music therapy could be a powerful treatment strategy, improving cognitive function and emotional well-being in Alzheimer's patients2. The importance of consulting qualified music therapists when implementing music therapy as a stress management tool will be emphasized. The findings and insights from this study, underlining the significance of music therapy in stress management for man and women are significant. The role of music therapy in fostering social connections and providing support will be explored, emphasizing its significance in stress management
