Optomechanical manipulation with hyperbolic metasurfaces
Auxiliary nanostructures introduce additional flexibility into optomechanical
manipulation schemes. Metamaterials and metasurfaces capable to control
electromagnetic interactions at the near-field regions are especially
beneficial for achieving improved spatial localization of particles, reducing
laser powers required for trapping, and for tailoring directivity of optical
forces. Here, optical forces acting on small particles situated next to
anisotropic substrates, are investigated. A special class of hyperbolic
metasurfaces is considered in details and is shown to be beneficial for
achieving strong optical pulling forces in a broad spectral range. Spectral
decomposition of the Green functions enables identifying contributions of
different interaction channels and underlines the importance of the hyperbolic
dispersion regime, which plays the key role in optomechanical interactions.
Homogenised model of the hyperbolic metasurface is compared to its
metal-dielectric multilayer realizations and is shown to predict the
optomechanical behaviour under certain conditions related to composition of the
top layer of the structure and its periodicity. Optomechanical metasurfaces
open a venue for future fundamental investigations and a range of practical
applications, where accurate control over mechanical motion of small objects is
required
Nonlinear spectroscopy of excitonic states in transition metal dichalcogenides
Second-harmonic generation (SHG) is a well-known nonlinear spectroscopy
method to probe electronic structure, specifically, in transition metal
dichalcogenide (TMDC) monolayers. This work investigates the nonlinear dynamics
of a strongly excited TMDC monolayer by solving the time evolution equations
for the density matrix. It is shown that the presence of excitons qualitatively
changes the nonlinear dynamics leading, in particular, to a huge enhancement of
the nonlinear signal as a function of the dielectric environment. It is also
shown that the SHG polarization angular diagram and its dependence on the
driving strength are very sensitive to the type of exciton state. This
sensitivity suggests that SHG spectroscopy is a convenient tool for analyzing
the fine structure of excitonic states.Comment: 13 pages, 5 figure
Discovery and SAR exploration of N-aryl-N-(3-aryl-1,2,4-oxadiazol-5-yl)amines as potential therapeutic agents for prostate cancer
A new chemical series of antiproliferative compounds was identified via high-throughput screening on DU-145 human prostate carcinoma cell line (hit compound potency - 5.7 μM). Exploration of the two peripheral diversity vectors of the hit molecule in a hit-targeted library and testing of the resulting compounds led to SAR generalizations and identification of the 'best' pharmacophoric moieties. The latter were merged in a single compound that exhibited a 200-fold better potency than the original hit compound. Specific cancer cell cytotoxicity was confirmed for the most potent compounds
Расчет плотности состояний сверхпроводников на основе железа
The spectral and the total density of states were calculated for two-dimensional FeAs-clusters within the
limits of the two-orbital model, which is widely used for modeling iron-based superconductors. The spectra
were restored by means of an asymptotically exact stochastic procedure, which was modified to restore the
kernel of the integral equation relating the Matsubara Green’s function and the spectral density. The data
for Matsubara Green’s function were obtained with the use of the generalized quantum world-line Monte
Carlo algorithm adapted for the two-orbital model. The calculations were made for clusters with sizes up
to 10 10 FeAs-cells. The data are presented for the distribution profiles along the main crystallographic
directions and for the entire Brillouin zone. The analysis of the doped state revealed differences in the
electron and hole states of the system that is correlated with known experimental dataСпектральная и полная плотности состояний были рассчитаны для двумерных FeAs-кластеров

Асимптотически точный метод для расчета плотности состояний ВТСП
The work presents the method of restoring a spectral density from known Green’s function. The method
is based on a combination of Monte Carlo and gradient descent algorithms, which avoids the problem
of distortion of the equation by nonlinear terms and, therefore, analyzes the most representative range
of small deviations. Furthermore, the method does not contain sources of systematic errors and, in
principle, any spectral function can be parameterized with any desired accuracy. With the use of the
method, the spectral density of states was restored for FeAs-based superconductors. The method works
well also for metal nanoclusters and many other systemsВ работе представлен метод восстановления спектральной плотности из известной функции

Exploring disorder correlations in superconducting systems: spectroscopic insights and matrix element effects
Understanding the intricate interplay between disorder and superconductivity has become a key area of research in condensed matter physics, with profound implications for materials science. Recent studies have shown that spatial correlations of disorder potential can improve superconductivity, prompting a re-evaluation of some theoretical models. This paper explores the influence of disorder correlations on the fundamental properties of superconducting systems, going beyond the traditional assumption of spatially uncorrelated disorder. In particular, we investigate the influence of disorder correlations on key spectroscopic superconductor properties, including the density of states, as well as on the matrix elements of the superconducting coupling constant and their impact on the localization length. Our findings offer valuable insights into the role of disorder correlations in shaping the behavior of superconducting materials
