The effectiveness of the disinfection of water for human consumption in water supply system of the city of Sibenik

Cilj ovog rada bio je statističkom obradom analitičkih izvješća o kakvoći vode za ljudsku potrošnju uzorkovanoj iz vodoopskrbnog sustava grada Šibenika tijekom petogodišnjeg razdoblja (2011.-2015.) utvrditi učinkovitost dezinfekcije i mikrobiološku ispravnost vode koja se distribuirala potrošačima putem vodoopskrbnog sustava grada Šibenika. Analizirali su se dobiveni podaci o koncentraciji slobodnog klora te pojavnosti mikrobioloških parametara: broj kolonija na 22 °C i broj kolonija na 37 °C. Korelacijom i grupiranjem dobivenih podataka ovisno o dijelu godine, utvrdila se i ovisnost kakvoće vode u vodoopskrbnom sustavu o godišnjem dobu s obzirom da temperatura vode i zraka značajno utječu na ispravnost vode za piće.The aim of this study was statistical data processing of analytical reports on the quality of water for human consumption sampled from the water supply system of the city of Sibenik during the five-year period (2011th-2015th). The statistical dana processing was conducted in order to determine the effectiveness of disinfection and microbiological quality of water distributed to consumers through the water supply system of the city of Sibenik. The values of the free chlorine concentration and incidence of the microbiological parameters such as colony count at 22 °C and 37 °C has been analyzed. The correlations among data i.e. values of mesaured parameters was conducted due to depending on the year, has been determined by the dependence of water quality in the water supply system of the season due to water temperature and air significantly affect the quality of drinking water
