PENGARUH PELATIHAN SAFETY BEHAVIOR TEHADAP PENGETAHUAN DAN SIKAP KELOMPOK USAHA KECIL MENENGAH (UKM) DI SEKITAR UNSOED PURWOKERTO
ABSTRACTApproximately 85% of the incidence of occupational accidents due to human factors (human error) that behave in unsafe work. Wrong behavior (unsafe) can be improved by increasing the knowledge and attitudes through training in group of tmerchants. The purpose of the study to knowing the effect of safety behavior training on knowledge and attitude of the group small and medium merchants around Unsoed Purwokerto. This study uses a quasi-experimental design with one group pretest and posttest design. Data analysis was performed using paired t-test or Wilcoxon test. Population of 120 merchants and samples were taken by purposive sampling with a sample size of 40 people. The results showed no differences in the respondents' knowledge after training at posttest I and posttest II with p = 0.028 (<0.05) and no difference between the attitudes of respondents to the pretest posttest II with p = 0.036 (<0.05). Conclusions of this researchThe training program can increase knowledge and change the attitudes of respondents significantly. Suggest for team of lecturers to be able to follow up this study with further research and community service activities as traders SMEs still need guidance and advocacy in the workplace in increasing labor productivity.Keywords: Training, Safety behavior, knowledge, attitudes, work accidents. PENINGKATAN PENGETAHUAN TENTANG DIET GIZI UNTUK PENYAKIT HIPERTENSI DAN DIABETES MELITUS DI POSYANDU LANSIA
Abstrak: Sebagian besar kematian akibat Covid-19 terjadi pada orangtua dengan prosentase komorbid tertinggi adalah hipertensi dan diabetes. Kedua penyakit tersebut juga sering menimbukan komplikasi pada penderitanya. Untuk itu perlu dijaga pola hidup lansia termasuk pola makannya agar tidak mengalami komplikasi akibat penyakit tersebut serta dapat bertahan bila terinfeksi Covid-19. Posyandu lansia merupakan tempat strategi untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan lansia. Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah meningkatkan pengetahuan peserta posbindu tentang penyakit hipertensi, diabetes serta pengetahuan tentang diet gizi bagi penderita kedua penyakit tersebut. Metode kegiatan yang digunakan adalah penyuluhan dengan peserta sebanyak 20 orang pre lansia/lansia dan 5 kader. Kegiatan melalui 3 tahapan, Tahap pertama dilakukan pemeriksaan tekanan darah dan gula darah sewaktu. Hasil pemeriksaan menunjukkan 32 % peserta mengalami hipertensi dan 48 % kadar gulanya tinggi.Tahap ke-2 dilakukan penyuluhan dengan materi pertama adalah penyebab penyakit, gejala tanda serta komplikasi yang ditimbulkan hipertensi dan diabetes. Materi kedua tentang diet gizi meliputi jenis makanan yang boleh/perlu dibatasi, serta cara memantau penyakitnya. Tahap ketiga dilakukan evaluasi dan hasilnya terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan peserta karena mereka dapat menjawab dengan benar atas pertanyaan yang diberikan secara acak.Abstract: Most deaths due to Covid-19 occurred in parents with the highest percentage of comorbidities being hypertension and diabetes. These two diseases also often cause complications in sufferers. For this reason, it is necessary to maintain the elderly's lifestyle, including their diet, so that they do not experience complications due to this disease and can survive if infected with Covid-19. Posyandu for the elderly is a strategic place to increase the knowledge of the elderly. The aim of this actifity is to increase Posbindu participants’knowledge about hypertention, diabetes and knowledge about nutrional diets for sufferers of these two diseaseas. The activity method used was counseling with 20 pre-elderly/elderly people and 5 cadres as participants. The activity goes through 3 stages. The first stage is to check blood pressure and blood sugar at any time. The results of the examination showed that 32% of participants had hypertension and 48% had high blood sugar levels. In the second stage, education was carried out with the first material being the causes of the disease, signs and symptoms and complications caused by hypertension and diabetes. The second material about nutritional diet includes the types of food that can/need to be limited, as well as how to monitor disease. The third stage was evaluated and the results were an increase in participants' knowledge because they were able to answer questions correctly given randomly

PLASTIC BAG WRAP FOR PREVENTION OF HYPOTHERMIA IN PRETERM AND LOW-BIRTH WEIGHT INFANTS
Introduction. Hypothermia is low-body temperature (less than 36,5°C) that can caused morbidity and mortality in premature newborn and or low-birth weight newborn. Plastic has often been used to prevent the heat loss in newborn.The aim of study was to measure the effectiveness of plastic bag wrap to prevent hypothermia in preterm and low-birth weight infant. Method. The study design was quasy expertment non randomized pretest-posttest with control group. In intervention group, there were five premature and or low-birth weight newborns that were being wrapped with special design plastic bag from neck to toe after been given neonatal standard care protocol. While, in control group, there were six newborns with the same baseline criteria as intervention group without plastic bag wrap. The measurement of body temperature used digital thermometer on babies’ axilla before and after one-hour intervention. Data analysis used t test. Result. The result showed there was almost significant difference in body temperature in newborn before and after intervention (pvalue 0.056). Discussion. Plastic bag wrap is effective to prevent hypothermia in premature and or low-birth weight newborn as much as 60% with body temperatur changes +0.4°C.
