The trend in the development of a system that combines the placement and use of tangible assets such as warehouses, terminals, and storage facilities of enterprises
The article discusses the idea of creating an Internet resource in order to combine the needs and offers of services for storage, transportation, rental of warehouses, premises, open storage areas, etc. in the Tomsk region
Predator population depending on lemming cycles
In this paper, a Langevin equation for predator population with multiplicative correlated noise is analyzed. The noise source, which is a nonnegative random pulse noise with regulated periodicity, corresponds to the prey population cycling. The increase of periodicity of noise affects the average predator density at the stationary state
The evolution of the securities market and modern problems of control of its participants
The purpose of the study is to determine the nature of the impact of digitalization of the domestic securities market on the development of the securities market and the presence of unfair practices on it, in particular, insider trading and manipulation. In the context of the development of technologies and their mass introduction into the financial system, in addition to positive effects, new problems arise related to the control and regulation of its individual elements. Thus, the digitalization of the securities market infrastructure requires the development of a new system of control over compliance with legislation in the field of countering unfair practices. It is necessary to develop new forms and methods of identification and control that meet the level of technologies being implemented. The subject of the study is changes in the securities market and the system of countering unfair practices in the process of its development. The article discusses the main stages of the development of the securities market. Methods of analysis, synthesis and systematisation of data were used. The main problems of countering insider trading and manipulation arising in connection with the introduction of new forms of functioning of the securities market are identified. The scientific significance of the study is to identify the main problems associated with the inconsistency of the existing system for identifying and controlling unfair practices and the current level of development of the securities market infrastructure
Stochastic model for the epitaxial growth of two-dimensional islands in the submonolayer regime
The diffusion-based growth of islands composed of clusters of metal atoms on a substrate is considered in the aggregation regime. A stochastic approach is proposed to describe the dynamics of island growth based on a Langevin equation with multiplicative noise. The distribution of island sizes, obtained as a solution of the corresponding Fokker-Planck equation, is derived. The time-dependence of island growth on its fractal dimension is analysed. The effect of mobility of the small islands on the growth of large islands is considered. Numerical simulations are in a good agreement with theoretical results
Dynamics of the securities market in the information asymmetry context: developing a methodology for emerging securities markets
Developing a system of indicators that reflects the degree to which the
securities market fulfils its key functions, is essential to assess the level
of its development. In the conditions of asymmetric information it can also
provide effective policies for securities market development. This paper is
aimed to develop a set of indicators to assess the securities market
performance, especially in the asymmetric information context. To this goal, we
selected the Russian securities market as a case of asymmetric information
context, in comparison with other post-Soviet countries, to investigate its
success and failure in fulfilling its key functions. Regarding this, we
developed research hypotheses and we conducted a normative research method,
based on an ideal model of market functioning that is used as a criterion for
testing the hypotheses. The results offer an original scale for assessing the
performance of securities market of its functions. The findings also help
practitioners with effective policy making in securities market regulation and
its development toward its ideal state. The key contribution of this research
is in developing a new scale for determining the performance and efficiency of
the securities market, based on the conditions of information asymmetry.Comment: lobal Business and Economics Review, Vol. 25, No. 2, 202
Investigation of physical and mechanical properties of mixed gypsum material for slip casting molds
The issues of improvement and optimization of the properties and structure of porous molds used in the ceramic industry are still relevant. In this work, plaster materials based on the mix of α- and β-calcium sulfate hemihydrate (α-CaSO4·0.5H2O, β-CaSO4·0.5H2O) were received and their properties were studied. Based on the test results of the strength characteristics, water adsorption and kinetics of formation process, the optimum composition of gypsum binder was proposed for application in technical ceramics production
Bioinformatics education course on gene networks reconstruction using online tools
Bioinformatics education requires the use of online computer tools for modeling protein-protein
interactions, visual presentation of the networks, access to open databases. The usage of online
bioinformatics tools makes it possible to reconstruct both protein and genes networks, and
develop modeling skills for students. We consider the issues of computer reconstruction of gene
networks - complexes of interacting macromolecules - using a list of genes associated with a
particular disease, or a complex disorder based on public online bioinformatics tools - STRINGDB,
GeneMANIA, Metascape, Cytoscape applications. Examples of computer reconstruction and
visualization of gene networks of oncological diseases including glioma, breast cancer, as well as
complex mental disorders such as Parkinson’s disease, schizophrenia, were recently published
in co-authorship with the students.
The use of only online bioinformatics tools is educational in nature, focused on students, both in
mathematics and in natural sciences and medical disciplines, who do not have enough skills in
computer science, programming, and writing their own code. Automatic construction of lists of
genes associated with a disease using open databases (OMIM, GeneCards, MalaCards), computer
reconstruction of gene networks, calculations of enrichment statistics for gene ontology categories
have been successfully mastered by students. The educational bioinformatics materials designed
for the students and with the students were tested at several universities in Russia, including
courses in English for foreign students studied in Russia.
The tasks of digitalization of medicine, the development of IT technologies are in the priority.
The epidemic situation that has existed in recent years and the forced transition to distance
learning had accelerated the adoption of measures to change the formats of education,
the emergence of new learning platforms. Note a number of qualitatively new tasks of
education in the field of digital healthcare, such as the use of blockchain technologies, the
use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) methods in support of medical decision-making. Overall,
the educational course developed includes a theoretical part (video lessons) and a practical
part - performing tasks on the use of computer programs and databases that have found a
number of applications for medical problems in the reconstruction and analysis of networks
of interactions of macromolecules.Book of abstract: 4th Belgrade Bioinformatics Conference, June 19-23, 202
