    Rumusan dalam penelitian ini adalah apakah hasil belajar siswa pada materi Perubahan wujud benda melalui metode pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw, dapat meningkat? Tujuan yang hendak dicapai adalah untuk meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa dengan menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh bahwa pada pelaksanaan tindakan pada siklus I hasil belajar siswa sebesar 73%. Namun hasil belajar tersebut belum mencapai indikator capaian yakni 80%. Maka dilanjutkan pada tindakan siklus II, pada pelaksanaan tindakan siklus II diperoleh hasil belajar siswa sebesar 81% atau terjadi peningkatan sebesar 8% dari hasil pelaksanaan siklus I. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan melalui metode pembelajaran kooperatif tipe jigsaw dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa materi Perubahan wujud benda Kelas V SDN 2 Uebone

This paper will discuss about the development of the application that is used to calculate the API and WQI indices. WQI and API calculator application was named as My.Index Calculator. The application can run on Android version 3.0 (Honeycomb) until the latest version of it (Lollipop). The application provides better alternatives to the index calculation and data management. Now, the researchers and students can calculate the index value at anytime and anywhere with the help of the application.     Assessment of drinking water quality using principal component analysis and partial least square discriminant analysis: a case study at water treatment plants, Selangor

    This study characterizes the drinking water quality on 28 water treatmentt plants in Selangor from 2009 to 2012 using multivariate techniques. The objectives of this study are to analyze the quality of collected drinking water and to detect the source of pollution for the most revealing  parameters.  The  Partial  Least  Square  Discriminant  Analysis (PLS-DA)  model showed a high correlation matrix of analysis for physicochemical quality of two types of water with  99.43% significant  value.  The classification  matrix  accuracy of the principal component  analysis  (PCA) highlighted  13  significant  physico-chemical water quality parameters and 14 significant heavy metal parameters. PCA was carried out to identify the origin and source of pollution of each water quality parameters.     Thermal Comfort Assessment of An Office Room Under High Air Conditioning Setting Temperatures with Fan-Assisted Ventilation

    The usage of the air-conditioning system to provide comfortable indoor conditions is found necessary especially for hot-and warm countries. However, the excessive use of the air-conditioning system or without properly controlled will significantly affect the energy consumption of the building and also the environment badly. This study investigates the strategy to reduce energy for cooling in an office room by utilizing the high setting temperature of the air conditioning system with the addition of fan ventilation by field measurement. About 9 study cases have been investigated which includes the air-conditioning setting of 27°C to 28°C, with and without fan-assisted ventilation. The measured physical thermal comfort parameters are air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, and black globe temperature. The operative temperature and Predicted Mean Vote value (PMV) have been calculated for each study case for analysis. The results revealed that the comfortable condition with neutral sensation can be achieved by air-conditioning setting of 28°C with an air speed of 1 m/s-1.2m/s. Moreover, the results showed that the room with 27°C-28°C setting temperature was under comfortable conditions before afternoon hours, while fan-assisted ventilation is required to enhance the comfortable hours through the rest working hour. By this practice, it is expected the energy consumption and cooling load of the building can be reduced

    Quality of life satisfaction among converted Kelantan Chinese Muslims

    This article investigates the quality of life of the Kelantan Chinese Muslim community before and after conversion to Islam, focusing on their level of satisfaction in term of economic aspect. This research was carried out using the sequential explanatory mixed method design involving 75 respondents selected for quantitative and five respondents for qualitative. The sampling method adopted was convenience and snowball samplings. The research data was collected using questionnaires and semi-structured interviews. The results revealed that respondents were moderately satisfied before conversion and satisfied after conversion. Besides that, there is no significant difference of quality of life before and after conversion to Islam (F = 0.868, p = 0.355) and it was not influenced by the period of conversion to Islam (F = 0.832, p = 0.589). This analysis indicates numerous respondents are still moderately satisfied in their quality of life even though the average data shows they are satisfied after conversion
