Nucleon structure functions in noncommutative space-time

In the context of noncommutative space-time, we investigate the nucleon structure functions which plays an important role to identify the internal structure of nucleons. We use the corrected vertices and employ new vertices that appear in two approaches of noncommutativity and calculate the proton structure functions in terms of noncommutative tensor \theta_{\mu\nu}. To check our result, we plot the nucleon structure function (NSF), F_2(x), and compare it with experimental data and the result coming out from the GRV, GJR and CT10 parametrization models. We show that new vertex which is arising the noncommutativity correction will lead us to better consistency between theoretical result and experimental data for NSF. This consistency would be better at small values of x-Bjorken variable. To indicate and confirm the validity of our calculations, we also act conversely and obtain an lower bound for the numerical values of \Lambda_{NC} scale which are corresponding to the recent reports.Comment: 28 pages, 5 figure

    Multi-objective Optimisation of Marine Propellers

AbstractReal world problems have usually multiple objectives. These objective functions are of- ten in conflict, making them highly challenging in terms of determining optimal solutions and analysing solutions obtained. In this work Multi-objective Particle Swarm Optimisation (MOPSO) is employed to optimise the shape of marine propellers for the first time. The two objectives identified are maximising efficiency and minimising cavitation. Several experiments are undertaken to observe and analyse the impacts of structural parameters (shape and number of blades) and operating conditions (RPM) on both objective. The paper also investigates the negative effects of uncertainties in parameters and operating conditions on efficiency and cavitation. Firstly, the results showed that MOPSO is able to find a very accurate and uniformly distributed approximation of the true Pareto optimal front. The analysis of the results also shows that a propeller with 5 or 6 blades operating between 180 and 190 RPM results in the best trade-offs for efficiency and cavitation. Secondly, the simulation results show the significant negative impacts of uncertainties on both objectives

The research method of the current study provided a ground for measurement of Iranian schools function in socializing students in dimensions of assertive, empathy, assist and responsibility. A closed-item questionnaire was graded on the basis of Likert’s scale was used to collect the required data. The obtained data was analyzed by SPSS software. The research population consists of all schools in 20 regions of Tehran that according to the census of the Rosh organization were 13364 schools and through the Morgan table sample size was determined 375 schools. Also, some exerts confirmed face and content validity of the questionnaire. The Cronbach’s alpha coefficient was calculated 0.86. According to the research population, it was identified that a meaningful relationship exists between Iranian schools function and students’ socialization. Moreover, the relationship between the schools function and variables assertive, empathy, assist and responsibility in 95% level of significance is direct and meaningful. The VPLS software affirmed the results that consequently a proper model was presented in form of a regression model

Nuclear Parton Densities and Structure Functions

We calculate nuclear parton distribution functions (PDFs), using the constituent quark model. We find the bounded valon distributions in a nuclear to be related to free valon distributions in a nucleon. By using improved bounded valon distributions for a nuclear with atomic number AA and the partonic structure functions inside the valon, we can calculate the nuclear structure function in xx space. The results for nuclear structure-function ratio F2A/F2DF_2^A/F_2^D at some values of AA are in good agreement with the experimental data.Comment: To be published in Int. Journal of Modern Phys.
